Chapter 12

Xavier's Pov:
The two warriors guarding the gate were full of doubts, but they didn't dare to neglect me and immediately asked someone to take me into the Blue Moon Pack.
I looked around the Pack, hoping to see Lsabella, but it was just a delusion, and I would have gone crazy if she had been wounded and was still wandering around the Pack.
I was ushered into a room in the castle where three elders were already sitting.
I must have seen them before my childhood accident, but I don't remember much now, and I sat across from them with my back to the fireplace.
The three men looked me up and down with probing eyes, and Andrew, on the left, beckoned the waiter.
"Where's Alpha?"
"Mr. Jasper will be here shortly."
The elder Allen in the lead waved his hand: "It's just that he can't distinguish one from the other? What could be more important to haunt him now?"
"Mr. Jasper is not in the office now, we have..."
The elder raised his hand and this attendant stopped arguing.
Their attention was back on me.
Allen stared at me for a long time, then let out a sultry sigh.
"Our Blood Moon Pack's former Alpha had two sons, but ten years ago the witch held the two children hostage and asked the Alpha to choose between them. Both children were just as important in his heart, but he couldn't protect all of his children at that point..."
I have been in the anxiety of worrying about Lsabella but not being able to see it since I got here, and at this moment but being separated from part of my mind, I am going to be exasperated by the art of language that these elders use to defend my father, both he and my mother did shed tears for me, but that is all they gave me.
I was thrown off a cliff and almost died, Lsabella saved me, she was the one who gave me a reason to live, I don't even want to care about my parents so-called hardships, they gave me the result of abandoning me.
"So how are you going to prove who you are?"
I lifted up my shirt to reveal a section of my back, "If you know anything about it, I have a scar from a burn on my back, a mark from my time at Blue Moon Pack."
They came over and brushed their fingers over my wound.
The three men looked at each other and saw a flash of surprise in each other's eyes.
Elder Charles on the right held my hand: "Have you grown up like this already? It really looks more and more like your brother."
"Luckily, it's not a bad life at Blood Moon Pack."
"You've suffered all these years out there, right? Are you serving as Beta in Blood Moon Pack now? Why would..."
Allen stopped Charles: "What's all this talk about, it's good to be back."
Just at this time, Jasper finally came out.
Allen immediately spoke: "Anyway, it's good to be back, you two brothers should not see each other for a long time, why not catch up first."
I sensed that the elders and I were distant, but I didn't care.
Jasper was standing in the doorway, and he was still looking at me with the same indifference that I hated.
"I didn't think you'd really come back, what? Don't want to serve as Beta of a small pack anymore?"
I had long since learned Jasper's ability to sneer at people, I didn't care about that at the moment, I was taking such a risk admitting my identity at this time just so I could get into Blue Moon Pack without any problems.
"Where's Lsabella? I need to see her."
"Are you so attached to this female Alpha?"
"What does that have to do with you."
Jasper sneered, "She's my MATE, can't you just meet her if you want to."
Yeah, if she's not your MATE, why would I lose her?
"Lsabella is my Alpha too, I want to see her!"
Lsabella's pov :
The girls outside were chattering and huddling together, not sure what they were cheering for.
I sat by the window rubbing my knee, I felt that with one more night's sleep, I should be almost healed.
On the table beside me were the flowers Jasper had given me, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to put them in a vase. I was used to Jasper's moodiness, and although I could handle the sudden changes, I wasn't sure what kind of attitude I was going to take with him.
I was wary of him and there was no way I could let my guard down, but the emotions he occasionally revealed made me regret whether I was being too mean to him.
I didn't know what to do, and I felt distracted.
"Lsabella?"
Xavier's mind link rang inside my head, a voice that made me feel relaxed, and I thought about the look on Xavier's face when he spoke to me, and my mood changed for the better.
"I'm here, is there anything going on with Blood Moon Pack?"
"No, are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
"I didn't see your smiling face."
"What?"
The meaning of the words was simple yet unexplainable, like a fog lifting and I couldn't see what was at the end of it.
I couldn't help but get up from the stool, "What did you say?"
"I'm downstairs."
Too late to think, I pushed the window open violently. Poking my head out, I saw Xavier, who flashed me a smile.
I would jump from the second floor right now if I weren't afraid he would see the injury on my knee.
Xavier came into my room, and he took a brief look around, his expression tinged with discontent.
"Is this where you live? You're the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack."
"Stop complaining about that, how did you end up here?"
After I calmed down from my surprise, I only scanned him twice and I knew there was something wrong with him.
If Blood Moon Pack wasn't a big deal, it could only be for me that he drove so long to get here. I mentally calculated the time, it would take him at least a day and a night to reach Blue Moon Pack from Blood Moon Pack, in which case he was sensing my fainting.
Xavier has always cared deeply about my well-being, and I forgive him for coming all the way here.
But there were still questions here, how did he get in?
I looked at Xavier with a stern face, I was worried about him making a fool of himself. I may be his Alpha, but I'm not important enough for him to think about getting killed all the time.
Xavier knew I was serious, and he hung his head as he tried to muddle through.
"I'm sorry," he mumbled in a small voice, "but I'm relieved to see you're not hurt."
I stood up and spun around in front of him twice: "I'm fine, I'm not hurt. First, think about how you're going to answer my question. blue moon pack people can be so kind as to let you in to see me?"
"How else could he have gotten in? My dear brother wanted to go back to his pack to have a look, and Blue Moon Pack wouldn't dare to stop him."
Jasper was standing in the doorway, and he interjected himself into our conversation with a big grin; I couldn't feel upset with him in time; I was too caught up in what he was saying.
I immediately looked to Xavier: "Is it true what he said? Don't you hold anything back from me?"
Xavier looked like a big dog that had run away and finally returned to its master, he was next to me, his eyes looking at me, innocent and pitiful.
I sighed; I really didn't have the heart to scold him.
Xavier squeezed my arm soothingly with one hand: "It's not a big deal, I'll tell you all about it later, word for word, really."
I also agreed to talk about it in private, not in front of Jasper anyway, but I don't think Jasper's attitude is like he just found out about it either, did he find out about it early on?
"Okay, the elders are looking for you, don't keep us waiting." Jasper seemed to be uncomfortable with us whispering, turned his head, and left.
Xavier's face sank and he looked like he was about to leave with Jasper.
I pulled his arm: "I don't know the cause and effect, but I can guess a little bit, Blue Moon Pack now has Alpha, suddenly appeared you to, the pyramid of power will definitely be shaken. Whether it's the three Elders or Jasper, you have to be careful."
Xavier gave a goofy grin at such a serious moment: "You care about me."
"Of course," I felt puzzled: "You're my Beta, if I don't care about you, who will?"
"That's right."
Xavier's Pov:
I returned to the Blue Moon Pack's castle after it was completely dark, and the only good news of the night was that I had secured a room next to Lsabella's from the elders.
More and more I feel that Lsabella is the whole backbone of my life and that I could always charge for her.
But when I faced my own origins tonight, I just felt tired and I hated the faces of these people, how much worse are they than the parents who abandoned me?
I want to see Lsabella now.
I heard some strange movement in the dark corner of the streetlight, here below Lsabella's room, and I grabbed the shadow without even thinking about it.
It was a little boy, who was so startled that he forgot to struggle.
"What are you doing sneaking around here?"
"I...I'm here to deliver Lsabella's medicine."
Delivering medicine? Could it be that Lsabella's injuries hadn't healed yet?
"What kind of medicine?"
"The medicine for the knee, we just found enough today."
"Why did Lsabella's knee get hurt?"
"It's because of those three days of kneeling."
In this moment I felt the anger had hit my brain, what mistake did my Alpha make that he needed to be punished by kneeling for three days?
Jasper, the bastard, not only did he not cherish Lsabella, he had to hurt him like this!
I had only one thought in my head, I was going to kill him.
