Chapter 74

Xavier's pov.
I stood at one end of the stage, and to be honest my heart was beating violently, although on the surface I looked as normal, but when Lsabella came close to me later, she would definitely notice my abnormal heartbeat.
The closer I got to this time, the more I felt about the trance, as if all the beautiful reality is like a dream, I seem to be really in a dream, one foot deep and one foot shallow to the side of the emcee.
There weren't many people on the stage, mainly Blood Moon Pack's clan members, we didn't invite other wolf pack people, Lsabella and I didn't want to add more hidden dangers at this time.
So the stage was endless, and the carpet in the middle of the crowd stretched farther.
I kept expecting Lsabella to appear at the end of the carpet, and I wondered if I would lose my temper at that moment and rush to her side to embrace her, despite the rules of the ceremony.
I hadn't seen Lsabella's dress yet, and I had dutifully avoided Lsabella's wedding dress and jewelry preparations for the past few days. The only thing I had been involved in was the design of the ring, on which the moonstone was a blessing to both of us.
I began to be grateful again for Moon Goddess' mercy on me. I don't know if it was my prayers that moved her, or if she had prepared me for all this at the beginning. I had cursed everything in the midst of the greyest years, and I hoped that the merciful Moon Goddess would forgive me for being such a fragile child.
I just wanted Lsabella, and this willingness to gamble on the only wish of my life was not too much.
The master of ceremonies had begun to announce the start of the ceremony, I tried to distract myself with other things and returned to the matter at hand, I turned my neck slightly, the tie seemed to be strangled too tightly in the hands trembling with excitement.
I want to see Lsabella as soon as possible, I want to kiss her, I want to feel that she loves me as well.
There was a gasp from the crowd on stage, and I immediately caught such a movement.
It was at this point that the emcee finally finished his opening remarks and announced in a loud voice that the bride was welcome to enter.
My eyes wandered for only a brief moment before I managed to catch the sound and shadow that made me go crazy for.
The white wedding dress, outlining Lsabella's wonderful curves, the veil was so long that it almost dragged to the ground, and in the hazy shadow of the veil, Lsabella's face was illuminated by the moonlight.
I didn't dare to breathe, I was afraid my exhalation would blow away this beautiful dream, Brielle held Lsabella's arm and really brought her to me.
I remembered it was a wedding and moved forward on my toes just a little bit uncontrollably.
My eyes were locked on Lsabella's body, and I was afraid that in the blink of my eye, she would disappear.
But it's a good thing Moon Goddess didn't tease me, she really went down a lot kinder on me.
Lsabella was coming towards me, and she was getting closer and closer to me.
Finally, she came up the stairs to the stage and Brielle brought her to my side.
The closer Lsabell made me lose my eyes even more, and my throat rolled, trying to suppress my urge to touch her right now.
Brielle noticed my impatience and looked at me with a smile on her face, cupping Lsabella's hand all the way up and then extending her palm back towards me.
I froze, but immediately responded by placing my hand on her palm.
Brielle folded both of our hands together.
"I entrust my Miss Lsabella to you, Mr. Xavier, you must not break her heart."
I nodded solemnly, "I will take my life to protect Lsabella."
Such a vow was made a long time ago, and I had sworn it many times, so it came straight out of my mouth.
After saying that I suddenly thought something was wrong, because Lsabella didn't like me taking a vow of my life like that.
I looked at Lsabella in panic.
She seemed to notice my panic through the white veil, instead it was Lsabella who held my hand first, Brielle stepped back and Lsabella held my hand tightly.
The energy was transferred from her hand to my side, everything that was pulsing in my head, my heart that hadn't calmed down all day calmed down in this moment, everything was back to normal, the warmth of Lsabella's hand was my calming agent.
It was time to lift the bride's veil.
The peace of mind that Lsabella brought to me by standing in front of me, now provoked a tremor in me again. I gently lifted the corner of the veil, and with all the anticipation and excitement, lifted the white veil that separated me from Lsabella.
My breath stalled, Lsabella's face was so familiar, yet able to provoke shivers in me every time we met.
White skin, jewel-like eyes, and flame-like red hair, all of which were gilded with a holy glow under the moonstone shine.
She smiled towards me, the corners of her eyes curved, and as soon as I saw her smile, I couldn't help but smile too.
I should look silly now, but I am a happy silly man.
Lsabella gently tugged on my coat, and only then did I react and take the ring from the emcee's hand.
I didn't hesitate and got down on one knee, which was not the same as in the rehearsal, but I still wanted to tell Lsabella what was in my heart.
"I know you don't like me taking a vow of my life, so I'm only here to say it one last time, I love you, Lsabella, and I'm willing to give my whole life to love you. I have done so in the past and in the present, and I will do the same in the future, I am loyal to you for the rest of my life, both as your Beta and as your MATE, and if I betray you again in the slightest, I am willing to suffer the punishment that Moon Goddess sends down."
After saying that, I cupped Lsabella's hand and put the ring on her ring finger.
Lsabella did not rebuke me this time, her eyes were slightly red, but her face was full of happiness.
She applied a gentle pressure to her hand and I stood up smoothly.
"I know," she said, gazing into my eyes with the same happy look I had dreamed of, "I love you."
The volume whispered to me alone had the power to penetrate my heart, and in the moment I was lost in thought, I felt the coldness of my fingertips, and I lowered my head, and the other ring, similar to the one on Lsabella's ring finger, was fitting nicely on my ring finger.
I rubbed it gently, feeling the touch of the shards of moonstone across my finger, feeling the truth of this moment of extreme happiness.
"Mr. Xavier, you may ask your bride now."
I looked up from my happiness, blankly glanced at the master of ceremonies, and then blankly looked at Lsabella, who looked at me who couldn't make a reaction, and gently was smiling.
Lsabella took my arm and pulled it in her direction, I obediently lowered my head and came up to her.
Lsabella face in front of my face infinitely enlarged, until the warm soft lips touched my lips.
I still didn't close my eyes at this moment, I just stared at Lsabella, at her fluttering eyelashes and moving eyebrows.
A fact finally came to my heart: Lsabella belonged to me now.
I cupped Lsabella's face and took back the reins of the kiss.
Her eyes opened in surprise and caught my unquenchable possessiveness through my eyes.
Lsabella closed her eyes.
As if with permission, my tongue probed her mouth, a few sucking and teasing strokes, I wanted to have her all to myself, and she obediently accepted my possession, wrapping her hands around my waist and leaning completely into my arms.
After a long time, I let go of Lsabella, my fingers rubbing her flushed cheeks, this time pressing my ear to hers and repeating to her alone, "I love you."
Lsabella nodded her head.
"I know the love you have for me, and the love I have for you."
