Chapter 72
Lsabella's pov :
I finished my work without waiting for Xavier's call, was he able to solve the problem himself? Or did he not want to bother me either way.
I wasn't sure which one it was, or maybe it was both, so I might as well go and see him myself, maybe he needed a hug.
With that in mind, I pushed open the door, only to be confronted by the man standing outside, his hand still in mid-air, as if he was about to push in.
Xavier raised his eyes, although his face was calm, but I could already feel his emotional ups and downs, the contents of that box, or brought him a shock.
But when you think about it such a situation makes sense, it took him a long time to come out of the past, where it could be completely stripped clear.
"What's wrong?"
I asked softly as I reached out and pulled Xavier back into the room.
Xavier did not answer my question, he bent over and leaned his forehead on my shoulder.
I gently stroked Xavier's hair along with his hair and patted his back with my other hand.
I don't know what he saw, what kind of shock he got, but I hope I was able to comfort him.
We just stood there in the doorway, quietly staying together until we finally adjusted and looked up.
I also looked up into his eyes that were gazing at me, my gaze soft but not once again asking him what had happened, Xavier took the initiative and told me.
"My parents," Xavier gave a bittersweet smile, "they probably have long since the bloodline awakening thing, maybe we need to go back if we have the chance."
Xavier was referring to a trip back to the Blue Moon Pack, where we had, for a time, both wanted that where to escape.
"Sure," I didn't hesitate: "Just go back sometime, and I can go see Matthew and his family, if you want, we can recently..."
"Is it okay if we get married first?" Xavier interrupted me, and I looked up, right into his happy eyes, "Let's get married first, and postpone everything else, there's nothing more important than that."
Xavier suddenly leaned in, his lips pressed against my side ear, his warm breath burning my earlobe, "I'm in a hurry, I want to tell the world you're my mate."
I inclined my head to gaze at his face close at hand, Xavier would still blush before, and he was making divine progress in teasing me, already able to not blush.
"Yeah," I hooked my fingers in his and interlocked them: "Let's get married first and talk about the rest later."
Blood Moon Pack hadn't had such a happy occasion in a long time; once upon a time there was only fear and gritting of teeth in preparation for battle.
I stood on the raised platform of the re-expanded square, took Xavier's hand, and announced the good news to everyone.
My wolves were all abuzz with such good news, prolonging the joy of winning the war almost all the way to the future, where the Blood Moon Pack's renewed glory had kicked off.
I obviously experienced a Luna ceremony, but I still can't help but get caught up in the tension, I never realized before that wedding dresses would come in such a variety of styles, from satin to lace to mesh, breaking it down
"I don't know what I like the look of," I told the designer honestly, my brain is very barren about this piece, maybe I fantasized about marrying Xavier, where I never seriously considered these details of the wedding.
But the designers seemed to know no fatigue and offered me hundreds of options in one breath.
It was busier than Blood Moon Pack's recent surge in politics, and I fell back on the couch, trying to escape the minutiae.
"Got a favorite?"
Xavier's pleasant voice in a happy mood appeared above my head; he had been busy setting up our wedding venue for a long time and was only now taking the time to return to our room.
"No. There are too many options, so help me."
As if I had found my savior, I was busy pouting toward Xavier.
It worked so well that Xavier sat down next to my seat and I hurriedly got up and moved over to look at it with him.
After a general browse, Xavier quickly ticked off the initial selection of dresses.
"Amazing," I couldn't help but praise: "How can you tell the difference between them? I don't even know which one to choose."
Xavier paused momentarily in his work, then inclined his head and dropped a kiss on my cheek: "I dreamed that you were wearing a wedding dress and holding my hand."
One fell up, this time on my lips, and Xavier and I exchanged a long, drawn-out kiss.
"More than once." Xavier added.
Blood Moon Pack had no heirloom treasures left after the rogues had ransacked it ten years ago, and the rogues who had vested in us this time had brought nothing with them; after all, it was hard for rogues to keep treasures alive after so much time had passed.
Xavier insisted on the idea between him, he wanted the moonstone to commemorate our happiness.
After the ceremony, I got rid of Brielle to save the moonstone and rushed to the battlefield to rejoin Xavier myself.
The time after that was so busy with all sorts of things that I was surprised to realize that we hadn't seen the moonstone again after such a long time.
"The moonstone is broken, miss, but this is just convenient to set on the ring or other jewelry, so that no one can say that it is still moonstone."
Brielle introduced it to me as she opened the box she had placed in front of me.
I plucked open the small black velvet cushion and saw broken moonstones that looked like stars, probably as many as four or five pieces.
"How did it get broken like this?" I asked.
"Remember when you rushed into the altar and held the moonstone? It originally showed signs of cracking at that point, but you protected it in time, Miss."
I remembered the situation at that time, and I slightly fluctuated the moonstone a few times, and the luster shone out from the broken cross section, which was also something different and beautiful.
It was strange, even though it was broken, I could still feel its power.
I looked to Xavier, and he nodded toward me.
"That's it then," I expressed my satisfaction with the proposal: "Get rid of the jewelry designer to give a few options as soon as possible, there is nothing too much to ask, just be simple. Then set the moonstone on the ring and crown, get it done as soon as possible, our wedding is just around the corner."
"Yes, Miss."
Xavier and I interlocked our hands with our fingers, and we had a tacit understanding to incline our heads to look at each other at the same time, and then complete another stare-off.
I truly felt the distance of happiness, it was so close to me, just between our ten fingers.
