Chapter 13

Lsabella's pov: "Xavier!
"Xavier, stop it!"
I was still in my pajamas, with only a random jacket over it, and I didn't think I would see such a sight.
Xavier lunged towards Jasper as if he wanted to kill him, but I knew he didn't have the power to do that yet.
When Xavier heard my shout, his movements visibly stalled, and I grabbed this and almost lunged, grabbing his wrist in a death grip.
"You're crazy, what are you doing?"
I saw anger and grief in Xavier's eyes, "You're my Alpha, I'm going to help you kill the person who folded you!"
I scanned the faces of everyone in the room, including Matthew, and I realized what was happening.
Xavier knew about my kneeling penalty, but there was nothing he or I could do about it; Blood Moon Pack was indeed weaker than Blue Moon Pack, and as long as that gap was there, we would have to submit for a day.
"Don't be impulsive." This I lowered my voice as if begging him.
Xavier's fists spread out as if he had made a huge concession, and his whole being was shrouded in great sadness.
"Okay, let's go back."
"Wait, did I tell you guys to leave?" Jasper called out to us.
I sighed, almost about to forget the difficult situation I was in here.
Jasper and Xavier glared at each other, neither willing to give in to the other, and the atmosphere was burning again.
"What did you just try to do?"
I grabbed Xavier's wrist and pulled him behind me.
"Just a little misunderstanding, if there's nothing else we'll leave first."
"He's my brother, you're my mate, is it appropriate for you two to leave first?"
What a desperate and annoying moment, I felt Xavier's violent mood swings, he must be in pain right now.
I squeezed his hand and told him with a mind link.
"You go to my room and wait for me."
Xavier left and I didn't look back at him, but my full attention was on him.
It wasn't until Xavier closed the door that I reared my head and looked directly at Jasper.
Jasper kept staring at me, and I couldn't exactly discern his expression in the dim night.
"You just ran so fast, I see your leg has been healed."
A simple sentence, the tone was indeed icy, yet I couldn't distinguish whether it was concern or sarcasm.
"It's okay, thanks for your concern." I looked openly to his side, followed only by Declan.
" But where has Miss Charlotte gone? It feels like I haven't seen her in a while."
To be honest, it was just a casual question to change the subject, but Jasper's expression changed because of my remark, his look soothed a bit, "What are you so concerned about her for? It's better to take care of yourself first."
Saying that Jasper went around me and entered the castle.
I watched his departing back, clueless about this transformation.
Xavier dutifully waited for me in my room.
I poured him a glass of red wine, Xavier was angry but wouldn't completely ignore me. He dutifully took the glass, tilted his head, and drank it all in one gulp. I don't know who I learned to drink like this.
His own Alpha was disgraced, and as a Beta, he had no way to avenge his Alpha, which no one else could accept. So I completely understood his pain, and I decided to talk about other things first, using a roundabout tactic.
"How did it go with the elders tonight?"
"It was okay."
"So now can you tell me the original story of the incident?"
Xavier dodged his eyes and refused to look at me, but nodded: "Wasn't I saved by you ten years ago at the bottom of a cliff? I only told you that our family had encountered a witch, but it was actually the witch who asked my parents to choose between me and my brother, and they chose my brother, so I was recognized."
Xavier was just an eight-year-old at the time, but he was bringing up the incident as plainly as if the person in question was not him.
"I used to hate my parents and the injustice of the moon goddess, but I was saved by you...so I decided I would start over and forget the past. I've done that now, and I'm announcing this today, only to come to you."
The matter came back around to my knee injury, and I tossed my hair a little sheepishly.
"I'm fine too, really. I've been prepared to suffer some pain for the Blood Moon Pack."
Xavier's hand landed gently on my knee.
"Does it still hurt?" He whispered.
This moment of tenderness made my heart warm and I took his hand without thinking: "It stopped hurting a long time ago, I'll be back to normal tomorrow."
I saw that he was still in a good mood, so I tried to remind him further: "You should also stop being impulsive, as an adult, you need to know that impulsiveness is useless."
Xavier's mood visibly sagged.
"Good."
Xavier told me that he had let go of the past, but I had the feeling that he still had a deep animosity toward Jasper. If something like this happened to me, I wouldn't give this brother a good look even if I came back from the dead.
I rubbed Xavier's hair, he is also a person who has experienced a lot of unfair fate like me ah.
"Do the elders treat you well? Can you guess what's on their minds?"
"They...seem to want me to stay, and have decided to throw me a welcome party."
I am wary of older people in a way, after all, they are the most calculating on this continent.
"The elders have no more than two purposes, either they and Jasper don't get along and want to keep a backhand, or Jasper hasn't had any children until now and they are worried about the heir. After all, the East Continent is not peaceful now, in case one day Jasper also met with an accident..."
Xavier suddenly frowned at me, I do not know what the problem is, is it that I should not curse his brother to death?
"And you're going to give him a baby?"
I snorted out a laugh, I simply couldn't control it, what was going on in my Beta brain all day. Xavier looked like he was really anxious, I barely stopped laughing.
"Even though I'm his MATE, it's not my turn to give birth to Blue Moon Pack."
Olivia's face was the first thing that flashed through my mind.
"I think it's Olivia, even though she's not well..."
"Who is she?"
"You should meet tomorrow, she is...I can't say exactly anyway you will meet afterward."
Jasper's pov.
I didn't expect my loser brother to have the guts to come back, but I just found out something very interesting today, the biggest motivation for my loser brother to come back was Lsabella, he came back like a silly boy in love with his woman.
I looked at the back of Xavier and Lsabella leaving together, and I admit I had another moment of panic as Xavier rushed towards me, that sudden surge of the crisis made me realize that my Beta brother might not be as simple as I thought.
Deeply buried in the heart of the uneasiness began to bubble up again to work, my parents, Blue Moon Pack long-dead former Alpha, and Luna, chose me in front of the witch, because they felt that I was weaker, fell on the cliff must be dead. Then they didn't find my brother under the cliff, so they spent the entire rest of their lives whispering their remorse in my ear.
They told me that if only they had been ruthless enough to choose my brother...
I hated each and every one of them, including my dear brother, and now that I know his weakness, I will never give up torturing him.
As for Lsabella, the image of her swooping over and wrapping her arms around Xavier began to flash in my mind again, as she anxiously stopped in front of him, as if I was going to strangle him in the next second.
That look made my heart suddenly begin to have some inexplicable irritation, this Xavier's arrival spoiled everything.
Lsabella's pov :
Xavier was the star of the welcome party, but he didn't look so happy. I told him the funny story about my herbal medicine to cheer him up.
Xavier did show a smile: "I didn't expect you to have that kind of patience, you used to pass this kind of things to me."
"It's not because you're not here? You're here now, I still have to push such things to you."
"Fine, fine." He looked at me tenderly.
I accidentally drowned in Xavier's smile, I realized at this time how much I missed him this day, and at this moment we were able to stay together again, I immediately felt the depression of the past dissipate, despite not being in my own Pack, but the two of us walking together was much easier.
A shadow pressed up and there was an extra hand on my waist.
Jasper scooped me up as he looked wistfully at Xavier, who looked back at him angrily.
"Xavier!" I whispered in a warning.
I shook my head at him, and despite the look of indignation and resignation on Xavier's face, he lowered his head.
Jasper, like a victor showing off like he was everywhere, wrapped his arms around my waist in a death grip, then whispered to my ear, "Want your pack overthrown?"
I stopped struggling.
"That's good."
With a glass in his other hand, he raised it high again, "Let us welcome my dear brother, who survived the wicked witch, and who is the pride of our Blue Moon Pack!"
The crowd was captivated by Jasper's crowning words, and the venue let out fierce applause.
This hand on my waist makes me feel pain, and if I didn't have my pack behind me, I would love to escape from here with Xavier strips.
"I'm going to introduce you to my MATE, the Luna of our Blue Moon Pack - Miss Lsabella-Hill!"
Xavier and I looked at Jasper in shock almost at the same time, I couldn't understand his motive for acting, why did he admit my Luna identity at this time? Why did he admit my Luna identity at this time?
A searing glare pierced my body again.
My eyes swept over the crowd and caught Charlotte in the middle of it.
I felt through her eyes the hatred that wanted to destroy everything. If she was only hostile to me before, her gaze now was determined to kill me.
She really loves Jasper, doesn't she? But our current situation is just one part of a plan, so what's the point of her hating me?
A cold kiss fell on my lips, but I was so caught up in the shock that I completely ignored Jasper's showmanship.
There were cheers and well wishes all around, but none of that had anything to do with me.
Two months is a long time, and I can no longer see the end of it.
