Chapter 70

Lsabella's pov.
While I was making preparations to distribute breakfast to the suddenly extra group, the messengers of the Alpha Council arrived under the gates of Blood Moon Pack.
Xavier, as my messenger, took the letter for me.
After a brief glance, he expressed contempt, "Why are they still so arrogant at this point in time?"
I blandly stirred the coffee in front of me and added some more milk to it.
"What did the Alpha's say again? Are they not here to make peace?"
Xavier sneered, "They said they want us to explain about the rogue army, or else they're going to meet to denounce us."
With the advantage we spoke with great conviction.
"Where did they go early? Wasn't the matter of the moonstone decided without a meeting? How many times has this attacked Blood Moon Pack? I don't see them going through this process."
Kyra, who was standing behind me, couldn't help herself: "Let's just go ahead and fight, and stop talking nonsense with this group of Alpha."
I looked up and Xavier also looked at me, I knew he also wanted to continue the war, but he must also be determined to follow my decision.
"No, we need to offer terms, but to fight for too long would be to make an enemy of the East Continent, the Alpha Council is controlled by a few large wolves, but he still plays a role on the East Continent. If we don't have the strength to overthrow them at once, we have to learn to negotiate earlier so that we can divide more benefits for ourselves."
Xavier looked at me to hear me finish such a paragraph, he showed a gentle smile.
"What are you smiling at?"
I couldn't help but ask.
"You are no less than our Alpha, you are already getting more and more graceful."
I gave a sly smile, "Didn't I have one before?"
Xavier was still staring at my face, then he propped one hand on the back of my seat and leaned down to come closer.
I closed my eyes and the cold lips fell on mine as expected, lips and tongue melding, leaving a long kiss.
Kyra had long since slipped out of the room.
Xavier wouldn't end it yet, his knees resting against the chair between my legs, his fingers cupping the side of my face fondling my earlobe so that I was trapped beneath his body, the shadow of his entire body already enveloping me.
But I badly didn't intend to give him the satisfaction of my palms against his chest, pushing him outward with a slight force: "You just told me that I'm not going to be a good person.
"Didn't you just say I was your Alpha? Do you realize that you are now offending your superior at a lower level?"
Xavier's head was right next to my ear, and he laughed softly at my words, his laugh magnetic, and the ensuing spray of undulating breath on my ear, stirring a shiver of wariness.
But I was still playing it cool.
"What are you laughing at, am I wrong?"
"Yes, my Miss Alpha, then I solemnly apply, I want to kiss you, can I do it now?"
"And what about what you just did? Isn't there a price to pay?"
"Willing to accept all punishment."
My eyes rolled and I immediately came up with a good idea: "Then I'll punish you for not kissing me unless I take the initiative to kiss you."
I pushed Xavier away and ran out of the room.
Xavier's pov :
I was really giving thanks to the moon goddess for the happiness I have now, everything before I can forget them completely, I don't need hate or forgiveness to heal me, I can have the happiness I have right now, they make me have no time to remember all the sufferings I had before.
I have the lovely MATE, the way she shyly ran out engraved in my mind, already a precious memory for me.
If I didn't have a bunch of crap to deal with from the Alpha meeting, I would like to marry her today.
I stood patiently outside the door of the conference room, waiting for the end of this impromptu special Alpha meeting.
Lsabella was in the conference room negotiating with the other Alpha's, she now had a strong backup to provide her with the bottom line, and this was the day I was looking forward to, my Alpha deserved the respect of this continent.
Lsabella finally walked out of the conference room and I immediately greeted her.
"So? Tired?"
"A little, but this negotiation was a success."
Lsabella said as she handed me the documents.
Since I was also involved in the drafting of the negotiation documents, I took a brief glance at them and understood the final result.
"These Alpha's are tough-mouthed, but they don't have any courage at all, they've already lost like this, they're really scared after a few scares."
Lsabella's eyes suddenly looked somewhere in the void: "So the Alpha meeting needs a tough host, but this host is not just anyone can be..."
I knew she was thinking of Jasper.
"Have his ashes been found? After all, it was your brother who also died near our territory, it's still appropriate to send him a bouquet of flowers."
"Unfortunately it wasn't found, and Elder Charles has also departed back."
"So."
Lsabella was silent for a while, and suddenly remembered something else: "By the way, where were we? The matter of that territory, the part we were cut off ten years ago, and the new part added in the south, have all been passed at the Alpha meeting just now, let the rogues of the wolf pack that belong to us go to that land, they have wandered for so long, they also need to adapt to the settlement life as soon as possible."
"Okay," I nodded, "I'll get on it as soon as I can."
We entered the gates of the Blood Moon Pack, and as they slowly closed, Xavier and I fell into a small stretch of shadow as she reached out and took my hand in hers.
No words were needed at this point, and I switched hands, wrapping hers in mine.
Kyra was waiting for us in the square near the city gates, two boxes in front of her.
"What is it?" Lsabella asked out loud.
I suddenly remembered: "A package from Blue Moon Pack, addressed to both of us. For security reasons I'll have them check it outside before I send it to the office."
Lsabella nodded: "So who sent it?"
Lsabella squatted down next to the box, and I followed her to look inside the box, which was full of miscellaneous things, as if it was luggage packing.
Lsabella picked up the top letter and immediately handed it to me after seeing the cover: "It's Matthew!
I gave Kyra a look and she nodded: "It's all checked and there's nothing wrong with it."
Lsabella opened the envelope.
As she read it, her expression changed extremely.
"What's happening?"
I asked, even though I expected that it might be that Charles who was up to no good.
"A lot of things, they don't have Alpha anymore, hearts are a little scattered...he said he found a little something, maybe you'd like to see it."
"Who?" I didn't respond, "Us?"
"Yes."
"What is it?"
"Your parents' relics."
