Chapter 41
Lsabella's pov.
Xavier's face was white, obviously not much trauma, but his breath was weak and he seemed to be on the verge of passing out, and it was not clear if he would wake up after the coma.
I held Xavier tightly in my arms, why did he come to be silly again?
After I became an Alpha, I often boasted that I could master everything I wanted to master, that I was able to accomplish reconciliation for things that I didn't have the means to do as I wanted in a short period of time.
But Xavier was the accident of it all, and I had no way of either controlling his actions, or forcing myself to acquiesce and accept it all after seeing him hurt for me.
Because of everything related to Xavier, my heart beats uncontrollably. Xavier is the exception to everything, the emotional disruptor that disturbs me. But at the same time, he is the medicine that saves me from a life of pain and tedium but full of responsibility.
He is the presence that I have no peace of mind even now with the moonstone in my hand.
I looked at the stone in my hand, it was still undiminished soft in the strong daylight, and I could feel it attracting me.
The Moonstone is the closest thing to the Moon Goddess on the East Continent, and holding it in my hand is like being able to connect with the Moon Goddess.
But I did not feel a moment of peace in it, and my anxiety still spread in my psyche.
Perhaps I have been chasing the moonstone for so many years that I have fallen under some kind of spell. After I got the moonstone in my hand, I realized that the excuses I had given to the moonstone were actually hiding my true feelings.
I was running away from Xavier and all the mood swings associated with it. I didn't admit that I already had a presence in my heart that could interfere with the Moonstone's status, I didn't admit that I was falling into a state of jealousy and loss of control because of Xavier.
I didn't dare admit that I had fallen in love with Xavier long before I knew it.
"Have you thought about it?"
Nora stood right in front of Xavier and I. She blocked the sunlight, shutting us out of the shadows.
This witch had planned everything from the beginning, she had tossed us back and forth with her schemes, and instead of having the moonstone for anyone, she had almost lost her life.
Is this the witch? My elders were always teaching us not to trust the words of witches, and now my just appreciate the power of it.
"I've thought about it."
Nora nodded confidently: "By the way, I remind you that even if you give up your loyal Beta, there is no need to have a heart burden, he can not hear anything now, in a few minutes wait will be completely unconscious, and dead."
"No, you misunderstood my meaning, I want the antidote."
After saying that, I didn't hesitate at all to throw the moonstone at Nora.
Nora subconsciously caught it with both hands, but after catching it she froze instead.
She looked at the moonstone in her hand, and then at me: "Are you really willing to give up the moonstone for him? Others may not know the truth yet, but you are the one who understands the energy of the moonstone the most here, and with such a big temptation, you just give it up?"
I didn't care that Nora questioned, I spread my palm and reached towards her, "The antidote."
Without waiting for Nora and I to react, Xavier, who had fallen into a coma, suddenly reached out and grabbed my arm.
I looked down in a panic: "Xavier, you're awake? Hold on a little longer, the antidote will be here soon."
"No...don't worry about me, I'm fine..."
Xavier although holding my hand, but I can obviously feel that he can not use the strength, I held his hand back, himself is a burst of heartache, but the surface did not show up, but softly reassure him: "You do not have to care so much, the antidote will soon arrive."
I took it and did not dare to wait a second longer, picked up Xavier and fed him little by little.
Xavier's grip on my hand slowly loosened, and he seemed to fall into a deep sleep, relaxing his body and lying completely in my arms.
I looked at Xavier's unsettled sleeping face and frowned. Although I could only choose to trust this witch, I was still not completely at ease.
"When will this medicine take effect?"
"Don't be anxious, he'll be fully recovered by sunset." Nora weighed the moonstone in her hand, still not believing that I had made a choice: "Are you sure you don't regret it? This is a moonstone."
This witch was trying to whet my appetite, so I tricked her: "I care, it's a moonstone."
Nora immediately looked at me, I deliberately paused and smiled slightly towards her: "You said at first that only two brothers have the opportunity to compete for the moonstone, now only the brother has tried, then the brother is not still this opportunity."
Nora showed an expression of dawning realization before she threw back her head and laughed.
"You are really a smart woman, even if you lose one chance, the next one is still yours. But aren't you worried about Jasper failing? From what I understand he's more obsessed with the cliff fall that year than his brother."
"So what? You said I'd get what I wanted, and if in the end I achieve nothing, that's reason enough for me to come after you."
Nora looked at me with a thoughtful gaze, and only after a long time did she speak, "You really are what the prophecy looks like, and I will do my part strictly according to the prophecy. jasper is about to come over, I suggest you leave this place through the exit."
I looked in the direction of the entrance slit, and at this time there was no one in sight.
Just then I suddenly realized an important point.
"Wait a minute, the crevice is really able to pass men, right? You're scamming us."
Nora was already walking towards the tent without looking back, and when she heard my question, she waved her hand in my direction: "Just a little trick."
Nora told me that behind her tent was a way out of the valley and that I should take Xavier and hurry out.
I really didn't know how to face Jasper, I knew what would happen on the night of the full moon afterwards, but I still felt sorry for him for taking the risk to save me now.
I think with Jasper's ability, he took some more time to familiarize himself with the terrain, and it is not impossible to send people to surround this place. Although this place is easy to defend and difficult to attack, but the people who guard this place I now see only three, everything is just a matter of time.
But he rushed in and was not far away.
Vincent appeared a dozen meters away and I was on alert for a second.
"Don't be nervous, Vincent rushing over here is proof that Jasper is really close to coming over."
Vincent approached our side, he obviously didn't realize he would meet us here either.
"Why is she here? And her Beta?"
"Miss Lsabella is an important guest of mine."
"On what basis? On the basis that she's related to both of those men?"
Vincent's mean tone made me laugh.
"I'll leave now if there's nothing else."
"You can't let her go!" Vincent immediately took two steps forward to stop me, "Jasper hasn't finished accounting for the moonstone yet."
Nora and I were equally frozen, what was going on, didn't Vincent know the truth?
I looked back at Nora, she looked very natural.
Since I didn't know how to face Jasper, let's help him take away a trouble.
I looked at Vincent: "Are you convinced? Dare to fight me one-on-one?"
Vincent didn't expect me to say that, he immediately sneered, "Do you think I would be afraid of you?"
"Oh yeah, is the suppressant Aaron gave you fake?"
"Not only is the suppressant fake, the hypnotic is also fake."
Vincent gave up his mole friend without a care in the world.
I nodded, then pointed in the direction of the entrance, "Then let's go over there for a competition, and it won't affect Nora's business."
Vincent really agreed: "When I get Jasper over here, I'll go kill you!"
I not only sighed, "How arrogant."
I put Xavier on my back and it was a bit of a struggle, but I was able to get him out.
This exit was also narrow, but much better than the previous gap, but I wondered why it could only go out but not in.
Nora told me these plants were special and told me not to touch them with my hands because they were also the reason Xavier fell into a coma.
But my mission is almost complete, although there were too many surprises along the way, but still on the established track.
At the end of this narrow road, I saw the long-lost sunlight of the outside world, and a wide open space was in front of me. I couldn't help but pick up my pace and sprint out with a single breath.
My eyes gradually got used to the blinding sunlight, and the humidity in the valley was replaced by fresh air; it felt so good to be outside.
Finally, I got out. I put Xavier on the ground, he was still unconscious, but his brow was indeed stretched, I think he dreamed of something happy.
Once I had settled Xavier, I mind-linked my Gamma, Kyra. "Kyra?"
"I'm here, Miss Lsabella."
"Inform the Blue Moon Pack that we recommend breaking off friendly relations with the Fai Moon Pack unless their current Alpha, Mr. Aaron, has suffered the punishment he deserves. I will pass on the follow-up information to you, but in any case, pass on the message first."
"Yes, Miss."
"You can break off if you have nothing to report."
"There is one thing, miss. A rogue named Nick came near our pack, and he claims you promised him a duel, and he's come to make good on it."
Gosh! I almost forgot about this guy, Nick actually found his way to Blood Moon Pack?
"And then what? Is he still there?"
"No, miss. We talked him into it for a long time, kept telling him you hadn't returned to the pack, but he just wouldn't go. When we really had no choice, we told him you had gone to Blue Moon Pack."
So, he's not waiting for me at the entrance of Blue Moon Pack now, is he?
"Sigh! I've got such a troublesome person, forget it, let's talk about it later."
Xavier's pov :
I seem to have had a dream because I remember experiencing the illusion Nora created for me, and I held on by the thought of Lsabella.
I got the moonstone, and the obsession that Lsabella held on to for so long is now in my hands.
I was very excited, not only because Lsabella's obsession is also my obsession, I felt a long time ago, Lsabella will find the moonstone and revitalize the Blood Moon Pack as the primary purpose of her life, this purpose accounted for so much, there is no room for me.
It is false not to want to occupy a small place in Lsabella's heart, who would not want the person he likes to have himself in his heart? But I can also fully understand Lsabella's anxiety, she is really burning her life for her Blood Moon Pack.
Now well, all the previous obstacles are gone, because what I am holding in my hand now is the only Moonstone in the East Continent.
Blood Vine's poison effect has begun to take effect, I can not even stand, hesitated or choose to do a stone bench beside me.
Now Lsabella is in the tent, and I wonder what Nora is saying to Lsabella right now, hoping she won't say anything unnecessary.
Strangely enough, I wasn't worried at all about whether I could hold on to the moonstone until I delivered it to Lsabella, and I was already here being silly and happy.
What kind of expression will Lsabella have when she sees me? And how would she look when she saw the moonstone?
Then I remember that I finally waited for Lsabella and I handed the moonstone to her.
She looked happy, but not that happy.
Lsabella's eyes fell on me worriedly, but I could only dodge away, I couldn't bear to see her sad because of me.
What happened after that? I don't remember much about what happened after that, but I think I fainted because I actually heard Lsabella wanted to take the moonstone to exchange for the cure for me, which should only be my dream wish, although such a dream is also very selfish, but after all, it's not real, so I accepted it.
Later on, I don't know if it was a psychological reason, but I actually felt my body recovered, my body gradually regained its strength, the original feeling of being light and unable to use my strength had disappeared, and I seemed to be able to open my eyes.
I opened my eyes.
In front of me was a whole clear sky, no longer a narrow little piece.
I felt a sense of relief. Was this place on the moon?
I moved my arms with difficulty.
A figure beside me responded, and she came up to me: "How are you? Do you feel better?"
My consciousness was gradually returning, the figure and voice were so familiar.
It was Lsabella!
I opened my eyes at once, and even supported my body to half sit up, was there another Lsabella beside the Moon Goddess? Why is she here too.
Regardless of all that, I wrapped my arms around her tightly, more without scruples than any time before.
"It really hurts."
"What?"
"Those vines, it's like they're trying to strangle me to death."
Lsabella hugged me, and the hand wrapped around my back slapped again and again.
This was really on the moon.
As if indulged, I inclined my head and dropped a kiss on Lsabella's cheek.
Lsabella's body paused for a moment, but she acquiesced to my intimacy.
I was really dead, although I don't know why there was a Lsabella here too.
"I'm so happy, we can finally get some rest, right?"
"Not so much oh, later Jasper and the Blue Moon Pack will be here, you need to go around back to the camp so you don't get suspected."
I let go of Lsabella all of a sudden, and I wrapped my arms around her, scoping her out, trying to find the holes in this conversation.
"So on the moon there would still be Jasper..."
Wait a minute, some part of the memory interrupted away was suddenly activated.
I let go of Lsabella completely, then stood up and looked around my surroundings.
I had been here, just a little while ago, and more than once.
My throat rolled and I turned my head somewhat awkwardly; I now turned out not to be dead.
Lsabella looked perfectly normal as she picked up the clothes laid on the floor and then beckoned for.
I bent my knees slightly, you Lsabella to straighten my collar, but I no longer dare to look her in the eyes.
"You go back first, Jasper is still inside, he will come out with the moonstone, our plan as usual."
It was then that I recalled the whole thing.
I was now fully recovered, so what was I recovered for?
I grabbed Lsabella's arm as soon as I could, "Where's the moonstone? It's not on you? Didn't I give it to you?"
Lsabella suddenly looked up at me coldly: "I haven't asked you yet? We planned well, why do you want to go to die? And you...forget it, you hurry up and go."
Lsabella turned away and was no longer going to look at me.
But I was also very aggrieved in my heart, did all the efforts I had put in before not count?
"So you changed the antidote with the witch? You should not have listened to her, the moonstone is the most important, you escape with the moonstone, then hurry back to Blood Moon Pack..."
Before I could finish, Lsabella landed a slap on my face, and my face burned hot and hot.
This is the first time she hit me, my whole body was blinded, what did I do wrong? What did I do to make Lsabella so angry?
I turned my head, but did not see Lsabella's angry expression. On the contrary, she was in extreme sadness, her eyes were full of tears, but she was gritting her teeth and not dropping a single drop.
I panicked at once: "Lsabella? You just hit me...don't cry."
Lsabella raised her hand and slapped my hand away, then really pushed me hard.
"Is your heart made of stone?" Her tears fell one by one, and with all her strength she yelled towards me, "What are you talking about? How could I stand by and watch you die? Not even if it's a moonstone! So who told you to act without permission! Did you go stepping on the spot last night?!"
Lsabella pushed me with a bit too much force, and I had just recovered. If it weren't for my years of trained reflexes, I would almost have fallen.
But Lsabella's sudden emotional excitement had me on the verge of being overwhelmed with reactions.
I tried to go up to her and hug her, but was met with a glare from Lsabella.
"Yes," I hurriedly replied to her query: "I'm sorry I did go to investigate last night, after all, you wouldn't let me follow you... but you still hit me put, how about pushing me a little? Anyway, don't you cry, it's all my fault."
Lsabella regained a little composure, I went up to her, carefully looked at her eyes, and then wiped away the tears on her cheeks.
I was actually a little happy in my heart because Lsabella had just said that my life was important, more important than the moonstone.
That means I am more important in Lsabella's heart than the moonstone...
"Am I really more important than the moonstone?"
"Or what?" Lsabella looked at me coldly, her anger hadn't completely subsided, and her tone of voice wasn't polite at all.
But I was still too happy, and I gathered my courage and went on to ask.
"And what am I in your heart?"
Lsabella looked at me with a frown: "What is what? Has your brain not replied yet?"
"No," I laughed bitterly, "I mean what am I in your heart, otherwise would it be so important? Except for Beta, brother and all that, those are all replaceable."
I took a deep breath and stared hard into Lsabella's eyes, "Is there nothing irreplaceable about me in your heart?"
Lsabella's eyes faltered and she averted her gaze: "What status?"
"Yes, just what status, I really want to know."
I stared dead in Lsabella's face, afraid I would miss a single detail.
Lsabella's pov :
Xavier, that fool, was standing right next to me, and he was about to fold himself up after not seeing him all night, but I recalled how heartwarming his smile was when he happily shoved the moonstone into my hand.
Now he has the energy to force me to ask, but I really brain blank, what is his status in my heart ...
My face was already a flushed red knowing that.
So it wasn't until the voice was very close to me that Xavier and I reacted to the fact that there was someone already standing not far from us.
I pushed at Xavier's chest, signaling him that there was an outsider and to get out of the way first.
Xavier was angry and aggrieved. He looked at me with wide eyes, but lowered them again and stood obediently on the curb.
The man who came plunged into the shadows against the light, and by the shape of his body I thought it was Vincent: "You came over so soon?"
"Of course," it was a younger voice that I knew well but was sure it wasn't Vincent: "I've been running around a lot for you!"
Nick stepped out of the shadows and stood in front of me with a smile on his lips.
I was completely frozen: "You... you didn't come from Blue Moon Pack, did you?"
"Yeah," Nick said as if he was talking to me about something as simple as opening and closing my eyes: "Not only Blue Moon Pack, but I also came to your Blood Moon Pack to look for you before. Ah?"
"It's a long story." My brain was a bit confused for a moment, and I suddenly felt exhausted.
"But you didn't come all this way just to find me alone, did you?"
Nick instead naturally fell into a state of confusion:.
"What else would I have come to find you for? It can't be because I want to join your pack, right?"
He made himself laugh after that, but I couldn't.
"But I'm sorry, I just had a duel with someone else, and it's a little intense to duel twice in one day, so what do you say I come to you next time?"
Nick immediately became angry: "What? How can you duel with someone else first? It's obvious that we made a date first."
"It's a long story, but this guy is kinda special..."
Just when I didn't know how to explain this matter to Nick, Vincent finished his work and came out from the path behind me.
Before he could look at Nick's face, he frowned at me: "Your rescuers have arrived? After Xavier was injured, you still have powerful fighters under you, huh?"
Xavier looked at Vincent coldly.
"No," I didn't actually expect this situation: "Maybe you know him."
I moved between the two of them so that Vincent and Nick could face each other directly.
Nick was the first to notice that this was not simple, and he shuddered, grabbed Vincent's arm and lifted his sleeve.
After confirming the tattoo, he also lifted his own sleeve, and the two tattoos were put together, and a pair of long-lost brothers finally met.
Vincent is slow, but even if Nick grew up with a very different appearance, but the two brothers are still able to feel each other by some kind of induction in the underworld.
Then I was in this special place, this special time, witnessed a touching scene of the reunion of brothers.
Vincent hugged Nick to death and did not want to part for a long time.
From the two of them intermittent conversation, I probably understand what happened.
It should be when Nick was twelve years old, Vincent followed the squad to raid the community, but his own temporary settlement was wiped out by a raid of the United Army. When he hastily returned, his own brother was long gone.
Vincent was probably just coming of age at that time.
So it was Nora who took him in after that? Then Nora broke up a pair of brothers ten years ago, only to take in Vincent, who had gotten separated from his brother a few years later.
I can't help but shake my head, how to take revenge on Nora is a matter for Xavier and Jasper, I just need to tell Xavier about it, and it will also be an end to the resentment in his heart for so many years.
When the two brothers gradually calmed down the excitement, I slowly spoke: "So Nick can come here or because of me, and Vincent can come to the exit at this time is also because of me. Although you can meet again is also the blessing of the moon goddess, but I also deserve your thanks, right?"
The two brothers nodded their heads in agreement.
"Then listen to my advice, stop scurrying before the various groups, find a place like this to live, hunting is not enough for you to survive?"
"We are not scurrying." Nick immediately said.
I rolled my eyes: "You've hit the Purple Moon Pack, big brother! And you're not afraid to run from Blood Moon Pack to Blue Moon Pack after running away!"
Nick shut up.
I turned to Vincent: "And you, pretending to be a prisoner and secretly colluding with Aaron, what did you kidnap Jasper? What do you want to know from him?"
"I want to know the secret of the moonstone, Nora told me that the moonstone can help us grant wishes."
I then recalled that outside the tent, Vincent's words revealed that he did not know the full secret of the moonstone, could it be that so far, Nora has really done to keep the secret of the prophecy?
Then that would be in my favor.
"Then he is also the Alpha of the strongest group on the East Continent, aren't you afraid of being retaliated against for doing this?"
Vincent sneered, "Would a rogue be afraid of retaliation from the group?"
The conflict between our different positions made me instantly angry: "If you didn't attack the pack, why would we have surrounded you! What's more, Blood Moon Pack only fought back against the rogues in self-defense, and never initiated any trouble, and you just destroyed it!"
My steep rage startled both of them in front of me, and Nick's voice trailed off, "...ten years ago we were both children."
Children do not have the ability to transform their forms, so they do not go on the battlefield, I know what they mean.
"Well," my anger dropped: "I kindly advise you guys. jasper will be hit this time, in large part because he has to divert so much energy to fight other Alpha, once he frees up his hands, where is the chance for you guys to tease him. "
I waved my hand: "You guys go inside and leave me alone for a while."
Vincent hesitated: "Our duel?"
Xavier finally still couldn't help but stand out: "What duel, do you two really think I'm a poser? If you want to come, you should fight with me."
Xavier looked at me again, "We haven't finished our conversation yet, what the hell am I..."
I rolled my eyes, "Get the hell out of here, all of you!"
