Chapter 14 A Sudden Attack

''All of a sudden, my stomach hurts. I need to leave so that I can find comfort at home,'' Audrey Turnah lied.

Leopold Demp and Charles Baman were helpless, and they could do nothing but send Audrey and Elizabeth into the car. While the girls were in the car, Elizabeth lowered her head all through the ride, and said nothing. It was only after they got to her house that she managed to blurt something out to Audrey.

''Thank you,'' she said to Audrey in a hurry and left.

Audre was confused. She was not a trouble maker, neither was she scary to Elizabeth like Mercy Cun was, so why was Elizabeth always talking to her like mouse talking to a cat? Always scared and careful around her.

Just as Audrey was about to tell the driver to leave, she found a mobile phone on the back seat of the car. Elizabeth had dropped her phone mistakenly.

Audrey hurriedly took the phone and got out of the car. She hurried after Elizabeth into the estate that they had dropped Elizabeth off at.

Currently, the night was growing darker by the second. The trees in the estate cast shadows on the wall and on the ground. The lights in the estate were dim.

Audrey ran after Elizabeth. She was running not too fast and not too slow, and did not care to look up at Elizabeth's figure while she ran towards her.

While Audrey was in this position, trying to figure out where Elizabeth had cornered into, she heard a whimpering sound from the bushes by the pathway.

Audrey's heart skipped as she walked towards the sound of the whimpering she was hearing, and she froze with surprise when she saw what the whimpering was about.

Elizabeth was pinned to the ground by a mysterious man, her mouth was covered and she was struggling to break free.

Impulsively, Audrey rushed towards the man and smashed his head several times with the phone in her hand.

The man grunted in pain, and so he let go of Elizabeth, which gave Audrey the chance to pull Elizabeth up.

''Let's go!'' Audrey said to Elizabeth urgently.

''Stinky girl! You dare to hit me? Let's see how far you can run from me,'' the man said angrily. He was drunk, and oozed of alcohol as he chased the girls, cursing at them while at it.

Audrey didn't dare to look back. She only urged Elizabeth on, and both of them ran for their lives, desperately.

Perhaps, because of how afraid she was, Elizabeth tripped and fell. But, Audrey helped her up, even though she was anxious concerning what was going on.

However, the drunk man ran and caught up with Elizabeth. He pulled at her clothes while Elizabeth struggled desperately, to be free.

Elizabeth was in total shock.

Audrey followed the former trick she did, and tossed the phone at the man. The phone hit his eyes and the man was in pain yet again.

''You stinky girl!'' he blurted angrily.

The man now ignored Elizabeth, and ran towards Audrey like a crazed person.

Audrey, for some reason, could not dodge this crazed man, and so she was thrown to the ground and she fell with a thud.

Audrey saw stars as her head slammed on the iron chair next to her. She felt all sorts of pain on her body intermittently as a result of her fall.

Elizabeth was too weak to help Audrey, as her legs failed her when she tried to get up, so she picked up the phone close to her and made a distress call for help.

''Charles, me and Audrey are downstairs, please come quickly. We need your help,'' Elizabeth said into the phone with urgency.

The drunk man had already held on to Audrey firmly, and appeared to be startled by her looks. With obvious and undisguised desire, he admired her neck and her collarbone.

Given that she was attending a party, Audrey wore a blouse that somewhat exposed her collarbone. She wore a V-neck velvet blouse. It was blue in color and accentuated her fair skin, so she looked alluring and enticing for the man.

The drunk man raised his hand and tore Audre's skirt, flashing a disgusting smile on his face as he did so.
Audrey's mind went blank for a moment.

''Stop! Stop this right now!!'' Audrey screamed uncontrollably.

At this point, Elizabeth knew that she had to act fast, so she sprang to her feet when she saw a flower pot beside her. She lifted the somewhat heavy flower pot, and then smashed it on the man's head.

The drunk man groaned and rolled on the floor. He held the part of his head that had just been smashed on with a flower pot, and blood trickled down from his head.

Elizabeth stood motionless. As if she was afraid.

Audrey, seeing what had happened, panted with labor and signaled at Elizabeth.

''Run!'' Audrey said.

Elizabeth had no other option. Her face turned pale at the sight, and she took to her heels.

The drunk man still had Audrey under his grip, and held onto her tightly. He strangled her neck and he had a grim expression on his face.

He cursed Audrey intensely while he strangled her.

''Your friend might have run away, but I have you here. Let's see if I won't kill you,'' the drunk man said as he strangled Audrey.

Audrey was slowly losing consciousness.

She could no longer breathe properly, and her face flushed.

Suddenly, the weight on top of Audrey became lighter and she saw that the man was being lifted up from her, and he screamed like a pig.

''Audrey!'' Elizabeth yelped as she hurried over to help Audrey up.
''Are you okay?'' She asked.

''I am fine,'' Audrey replied as she panted to catch her breath.

Then she turned to look towards the direction from where the man was screaming from.

Under the dim light of the street, a tall and slender figure was seeing kicking the drunk man ruthlessly while he screamed.
