Chapter 31 A Regrettable Decision
"I'll find you when my brother's issue is resolved," Audrey smiled reluctantly and said to Leopold Demp.
Nobody knew when the investigation result of this case will come out.
Now that her brother was in prison again, Audrey couldn't leave her father alone, and the study abroad could only be postponed again.
Leopold Demp was frustrated and lost.
However, his father had already given him an ultimatum, if he didn't study abroad this time, it was at his own risk.
He knew what his father's temperament could make him do, and naturally he didn't dare to delay.
"Okay then, Audrey, come and meet me as soon as possible after Charles' matter has been dealt with," Leopold Demp replied with a sorrowful voice.
The next day, the sun still rose in Bullen city, but the uproar of public opinion had not yet subsided.
Marcus Coker's video was still being circulated, and the voices of online public opinion were almost one-sided, and the denunciation against the Turnah family had become more intense.
The stock price of the Turnah family almost fell to the limit at the close of the previous day. Peter Turnah stayed up all night and went to the company early in the morning.
Audrey Turnah rushed to the airport to say goodbye to Leopold Demp. When she came back, she thought about it and went to the hospital.
On the way, she deliberately asked the driver to make a detour to the mall to buy nutritional supplements for visiting patients.
Her timing was unfortunate.
The previous day, the entrance to the ward area was quiet, but now, it was crowded with media.
Long guns and short cannons were set up in the corridor, and countless reporters were staring at the ward area.
Jerry Dank's appearance at the Dank's company's new product launch conference had already made him a rising star, and Henry Dank's car accident had pushed Jerry Dank to the forefront.
The media desperately wanted to interview him, and they did not hesitate to come to the hospital to contain him.
Audrey Turnah lowered her head, quietly bypassed the media, and walked in.
Some reporters were amazed to see her, and they couldn't help but take a second look, but it didn't stop there.
Over the years, Peter Turnah had protected Audrey Turnah very well, so the media didn't know her at all, they just thought she was a family member who came to visit the patient.
In the ward, Henry Dank was lying weakly on the hospital bed, the messy pipelines connected to him were gone, but his legs were still covered with thick bandages.
Jerry Dank had his back to the door, feeding his father a small spoonful of water, very patiently.
Audrey Turnah was hesitating, whether to go in or not.
Jeremy Cosmos became very irritated when he saw Audrey Turnah, and frowned.
"What are you doing here?" He asked angrily.
"I'm here to visit Uncle Henry,'' Audrey replied.
Because of the presentation she made for the launch conference, Jeremy Cosmos originally had a good impression of Audrey Turnah, but after knowing that she was Peter Turnah's daughter, this affection suddenly turned into disgust.
"No need, hurry up and leave, people from the Turnah family are not welcome here!" he said angrily.
Jeremy Cosmos' voice was loud, the words the Turnah family were keenly captured by the reporters outside the ward area.
As if a dose of stimulant had been injected into the sensitive nerves of the reporters, everyone stared at Audrey Turnah with gleaming eyes.
If it wasn't for the ward forbidding them from entering, they would have rushed over to surround Audrey Turnah immediately.
Audrey Turnah didn't want to have a dispute with Jeremy Cosmos, so she quietly put down the nutritional supplements in her hand.
Her eyes fell on Jerry Dank's back.
"I hope your father will recover soon," she said softly.
Jeremy Cosmos glanced at the items she brought. There were several high value items in the grocery bag she came with.
It seemed that she spent a lot of money.
"Take these too,'' Jeremy Cosmos barked.
"We dare not eat what the Turnah family gave us," he added, speaking with a tone of mockery.
"Then you can do whatever you want with it, just throw it away,'' Audrey Turnah replied.
Audrey Turnah turned around and walked out, only to step out of the ward area with her front foot. On her back foot, an intense crowd rushed up, and she was surrounded and blocked by reporters.
The camera and the microphone almost hit Audrey Turnah's face.
The crowd was too much, she was pushed back by a force, her back was against the wall, and there was no way to retreat.
"I heard that Peter Turnah has a daughter. He is so protective of her and does not show her to the public for any reason. Are you the one?'' One reporter asked.
"Miss Turnah, your brother killed someone, do you know?" Another asked.
"Are you here to apologize on behalf of the Turnah family?" More reporters asked.
"Will the Turnah family use their connections to exonerate your brother?" Another question sounded.
Urgent and sharp questions were thrown at her one after another.
Audrey was calm.
"I believe my brother would not do such a thing. Everything is subject to the police's investigation results. If my brother really did something wrong, the Turnah family will never cover him up," she replied.
After answering the question, she wanted to leave, but the reporters would not let her go.
A reporter stepped on her foot, causing Audrey Turnah's face to change color in pain.
She wanted to squeeze out of the crowd, but the human wall blocked her firmly and could not be shaken.
The voices asking questions came one after another, and the flashlight from their cameras kept flashing at Audrey Turnah.
She felt like a butterfly that had strayed into a spider's web. She fluttered hard, but she couldn't get out. She was at a loss.
