Chapter 97 I am Done

At this point in time, Audrey was drained from Jerry Dank's incessant forceful appearance in her life.

To think that he rejected her first, in the most horrible way ever, at that. It was difficult for Audrey to come to her senses and accept that Jerry Dank was so desperate about her this time.

Audrey looked at the young boy that had been beaten up as if he stole something. He was on the floor, wreathing in pain.

Was this all necessary?

''Mr. Dank, you have no right to do this,'' Audrey said to Jerry Dank angrily, kneeling beside Hilary to console him.

''Get up, and get into the car, I'll check you,'' Audrey had said to him.

After all, she was a doctor, so Hilary didn't have to go too far to get treated.

The more Audrey showed Hilary concern, the more Jerry Dank's face darkened like the son of the devil.

This little boy, how dare he?

The first ever time that Jerry Dank noticed that Hilary had an interest in Audrey, Jerry Dank informed Hilary's elder brother about it, and asked him to tell Hilary to stay away from Audrey.

Did he not inform Hilary? If he informed Hilary, and Hilary was seen posing with Audrey like this, then that meant that Hilary was deliberately testing Jerry Dank.

''It's none of your business if I have a boyfriend or not, Jerry. At least that boyfriend is not you, so stop bullying others,'' Audrey told Jerry Dank angrily as she led Hilary into the car.

''Can you drive?'' Audrey asked Hilary.

Hilary was bleeding pretty seriously, and there was no way Audrey could leave him like that even if he insisted that he was fine.

''No. I have to drive you home after cleaning you up,'' Audrey said as she cleaned Hilary's wound with carefulness.

Hilary dared to still chase Audrey Turnah while she was cleaning him up.

''You see what I am going through for you now? Yet you said that I cannot chase you. Who says I am too young to chase you?'' Hilary said to Audrey with a hoarse voice while she leaned over him, cleaning his wounds.

Audrey Turnah rolled her eyes.

He doesn't give up, or what? He had just been beaten nearly to death, yet he managed to form the words chase and say it to her while Jerry Dank was still lurking around them.

Meanwhile, Audrey raised her eyes to look at Jerry Dank.

What was he doing out there? It seemed as if he was making a phone call. To whom?

''Your brother is courting death, and so are you!'' Jerry Dank said to Hilary's elder brother with a stern and angry voice.

''What? I did what you said. I told him to stay away,'' Hilary's brother told Jerry Dank.

''Maybe you didn't tell him well, because he is still here, chasing someone older than him with so may years. And it may interest you to know that I already beat him up,'' Jerry Dank said to Hilary's brother clearly.

Hilary's older brother was furious, as he hung up.

Audrey Turnah was so upset, she couldn't get a hold of herself, and swore not to return for Jerry Dank's treatment. Her colleague, Dr. Greg would have to find a replacement because there was no way she could continue with Jerry Dank acting like a lunatic around her.

What of if he flips?

Lucky enough for her, she had found a way to make him realize that the Turnah family were not involved in the ordeals that had brought all of them to the place that they were, so she could only imagine escaping the city again. He had found out that she was not dead, right? So what was there to run away from Jerry Dank for?

''I will no longer handle your treatment, and Dr. Greg would assign someone else to do it for you in place of me,'' Audrey Turnah said to Jerry Dank just before she left him for good.

While Audrey Turnah left, she swore never to set her eyes on Jerry Dank anymore. This was the last time he was going to see her in his life.

After rejecting her first, he dared to put up such an act in front of her?

Audrey Turnah took out her phone and called Leopold Demp.

Leopold answered as soon as he heard the phone ringing.

''I am on my way to Bullen already. Do you miss me so much?'' Leopold asked Audrey in his usual queasy tone.

''What happened to you earlier? Why were you acting so weird and why did you get in a fight?'' Audrey Turnah asked Leopold Demp as soon as he picked up the phone.

Leopold Demp was taken aback by Audrey at this point, and didn't know what to say at first.

''Leopold!'' Audrey called him abruptly when she saw that he was not saying anything to her.

''Is that why you called me?'' Leopold Demp asked Audrey.

Audrey was taken aback.

''What does it matter why I called you? Did you not act weird enough for me to ask you this? What was the trouble? Why did you get in a fight and act as weird as a psycho? Mildred told me everything!'' Audrey Turnah said to Leopold Demp.

Leopold Demp scoffed and rolled his eyes.

''I am at the airport, returning to Bullen. I will tell you about it when I come back,'' Leopold Demp said to Audrey in return.

''I am leaving Bullen!'' Audrey replied instantly.

There was silence between the both of them at first, as Leopold Demp found it difficult to comprehend what Audrey had just told him.

''Why? Have you finished treating Jerry Dank?'' Leopold asked.

Audrey Turnah sighed heavily.

''What is it? Why are you so heavy? Did Jerry Dank do anything to you?'' Leopold Demp asked, already angry and ready to unleash havoc on Jerry Dank as soon as he saw him.
