Chapter 25 I Will Speak!
"Mr. Jeremy, you put it simply.
Now that President Coker is gone, and President Dank is still awake, who will take charge of the overall situation tomorrow?" Another person asked urgently.
Jeremy Cosmos was speechless.
They were to launch a new smart chip mobile phone independently developed by the company, the following day.
If it was just a mobile phone promotion meeting, Jeremy Cosmos, being the product manager, could speak on the stage, but it now involved chips.
Only Henry Dank knew the highlights of this chip and the story behind the design, because this chip was originally developed by him.
The most important thing was the preparation of tomorrow's conference, because it involved confidential factors.
It was very simple, but what the chip really was about was in Henry Dank's mind.
Jeremy Cosmos gritted his teeth.
"It really won't work out that way. Let me focus on promoting the mobile phone products, because the introduction of the chip will be directly weakened, so I'll just mention it briefly,'' he said.
"The highlight of the conference would be spoken of the most briefly? The chip is our company's flagship product in the future,'' the previous man said.
"What's more, even if we can barely get on stage to preach about the chip, the Long Building Management Committee hasn't given a positive reply yet," he reminded Jeremy.
"I think they are trying to embarrass us on purpose," another person said angrily.
"The inspection was fine before, but suddenly a call came after 7 o'clock in the evening, saying that the fire safety department of the venue was unqualified, and it must be rectified. Did they do this deliberately? the person asked.
"That's right, if it wasn't for their phone call, Mr. Dank and Mr. Coker wouldn't have worked so late, and maybe there wouldn't have been a car accident!" somebody else said.
"What I'm most worried about is that although we made rectifications as required, overnight, if they say that the rectifications are not in line with the requirements, it will be a problem for the press conference to be held normally," Jeremy Cosmos sighed and said.
While these men spoke, their voices were low, and it was very quiet here, so Audrey Turnah naturally listened to these words, and took note of everything that the men said.
From the moment she heard the words of the Long Building Management Committee and the press conference, she felt as if she was falling into an ice cave.
Yesterday evening around 7:00, when she went to visit brother, Charles Turnah, she clearly heard him mention the "Long Building Management Committee" and the "press conference", and he also said that he would teach them a lesson.
Who were the people he was referring to? Were they Henry Dank and Marcus Coker?
What lesson was her brother speaking of in the end?
If the car accident was related to her brother, then...
Audrey Turnah didn't dare to think about it any longer.
The night wind blew in from the window of the promenade, and Audrey Turnah secretly glanced at Jerry Dank, who was still standing still.
His stern profiled face with clear contours was like a thick and cold haze.
This kind of look on Jerry Dank's face made Audrey Turnah's heart become heavy and uneasy, and she remembered various scenes in that nightmare for no reason.
She hesitated for a while, but in the end she got up, walked to Jeremy Cosmos and the others.
"Do you have trouble in securing a venue? I can..." Audrey started to say to them.
She was trying to say that she could help them solve it.
For them, a problem with the venue might be difficult, but for the Turnah family, it was just a word from her father that would make the doors of the Long building fly open in acceptance.
Jeremy Cosmos did not know Audrey Turnah, nor did he know that she was Peter Turnah's daughter, and thought she was just a friend of Jerry Dank.
Hearing her asking about the venue, he nodded.
"We are having a little trouble with the venue...'' Jeremy said softly.
The next second, Jeremy Cosmos was taken aback when he saw Audrey Turnah's face.
"Girl, what's wrong with you? Are you uncomfortable?" He asked her urgently.
Audrey Turnah smiled reluctantly.
"I'm okay," she replied.
She said it was fine, but her lips were dry and nervous, and her face looked paler than Elizabeth Coker's.
Half of it was because of the previous stomach pain, but at least half of it was because she was scared. She was afraid that her brother had really done something stupid.
"You look so bad, are you sure you don't need to let the doctor see you?" Jeremy Cosmos was a little worried as he asked.
Audrey Turnah shook her head.
"No need,'' she replied.
Jerry Dank suddenly turned around.
His dark and cold eyes glanced at Audrey Turnah, and then fell on Jeremy Cosmos.
"What time is the press conference?" He asked.
Jeremy Cosmos was stunned.
"Nine in the morning, nine o'clock," he replied to Jerry Dank.
"It's three in the morning,'' Jerry Dank said as he looked at his wrist watch.
His voice was strangely low.
"Before five o'clock, I want to get all the product information of the new mobile phone, the more detailed the better. As for the venue problem, I don't care what method you use, it must be resolved before the press conference starts," Jerry Dank instructed.
Jeremy Cosmos was stunned.
"Should the press conference still be held normally? Then... who will speak?" He asked Jerry Dank.
''Me," Jerry Dank replied firmly.
He paused.
"The chip promotion will go according to the original plan,'' Jerry Dank added.
Including Jeremy Cosmos, several middle-level staff members present were stunned.
Jerry Dank was the only son of Henry Dank.
It was said that his grades were very good. He had won international awards in mathematics and physics., and they had all heard of it.
Therefore, every time they saw Jerry Dank, they respected him very much, and did not dare to underestimate him just because he was young.
However, tomorrow's press conference will not only introduce new mobile phones, but also introduce chips.
