Chapter 49 Tell Him That You Like Him
Audrey Turnah almost blurted out.
"He won't, he's not the kind of person who will soften his heart," she said, yet coolly.
Elizabeth Coker appeared to be confused.
''It appears you know Jerry better than I do. From what you said,'' Elizabeth said to Audrey.
Audrey cleared her throat.
Of course, she couldn't say that her judgment on Jerry Dank was based on that nightmare, in which Jerry Dank's violent and cruel behavior was in full display.
"No, no. I don't know him very well, so it's just a wild guess," Audrey vaguely replied.
Elizabeth Coker wrung her hands together, obviously trying to restrain her emotions.
"Audrey, you are very prominent in and out of your family, you can get what you want. But me, I am different from you," she said.
"I lost my mother since I was a child, and my father was very busy with work. Most of the time, Jerry Dank took care of me. He treated me really well. You don't understand at all, Jerry Dank treats me so well,'' Elizabeth Coker said with tears in her eyes.
Henry Dank once joked to Marcus Coker that when he grows up, let Jerry marry Elizabeth, so that we will always be a family.
Elizabeth Coker had long thought of Jerry Dank far more than a brotherly figure, and only hoped that one day in the future, both of them could really become a family.
Audrey's felt awkward.
Audrey Turnah was too bright and beautiful, no matter her appearance, family background or ability, Elizabeth Coker felt inferior to her.
Coupled with the fact that Audrey Turnah pursued Jerry Dank enthusiastically and boldly at that time, Elizabeth Coker's first reaction was to give in and escape.
Until that day, beside the swing in Turnah's garden, Audrey Turnah said that she didn't like Jerry Dank at all and would go abroad soon.
"You and Jerry Dank's childhood memories are very sweet and appealing,'' Audrey had also told Elizabeth.
At that moment, Elizabeth was so grateful to Audrey for her withdrawal and fulfillment.
"But what you said didn't come true at all. You didn't go abroad, and up to now, you still keep being tender towards Jerry,'' Elizabeth Coker said.
Elizabeth choked with sobs and begged.
"Audrey, I lost my parents, I lost my home, I have nothing but Jerry. I beg you, don't take him, is that okay?'' Elizabeth begged.
She was really afraid, afraid that Jerry Dank would gradually fall in love with Audrey Turnah, afraid that one day, his heart would completely lean towards Audrey Turnah.
Audrey Turnah had some unfair luck, that she would sit by herself and everything good and deserving would come to her.
But seeing Elizabeth crying, it somewhat softened her heart
"Elizabeth, you really misunderstood me. I didn't go abroad because a lot was going on at home. As for Jerry Dank, I don't even like him. How could I take him? If I really want to take him, I suppose I would have, I don't know, but it's fine," Audrey explained.
The way Audrey treated him at Bullen High School back then would not allow him to be with any girl, not even Elizabeth.
If she was bent on having him, he would have been hers sooner or later.
She tried her best to enlighten Elizabeth Coker patiently.
''Jerry still believes that the car accident is related to the Turnah family. Seeing me is like seeing an enemy. How could he have anything to do with me? Elizabeth, what you just said, is just unfounded worrying, it's absolutely impossible to happen," Audrey said.
Elizabeth Coker looked stunned, and the tears stopped.
"I am worried about bigger things than Jerry Dank and you or whatnot...'' Audrey Turnah told Elizabeth.
She did not have any experience in love, and out of her own perception, she sincerely gave advice.
"You might as well tell him how you feel about him, or how you see him. Let him know on time so that you don't have to worry about any girl you see him with. You should be clear,'' Audrey said.
What Elizabeth had to worry about between her and Jerry Dank was time.
They were still so young, who knew who they will meet in the future, what kind of encounter they will have.
It was really hard to talk about feelings.
Audrey liked Jerry Dank very much before, but a nightmare made her completely cut off all thoughts.
Maybe in the future, Elizabeth Coker might like other boys, but now, since she likes Jerry Dank, it was better to tell him than to wait passively.
Elizabeth Coker didn't speak for a long time, but Audrey Turnah's cell phone rang.
Audrey Turnah picked it up, a little surprised.
"Mercy Cun?" She said in shock.
"Audrey Turnah, where are you?" Mercy asked.
Mercy Cun's voice was a little hasty.
"Leopold got into a fight with someone in private room No. 9133," She said to Audrey.
Audrey Turnah was taken aback.
"Isn't the private room No. 9133 in the main building of the popular club house? How could he go there, to fight?" Audrey asked in shock.
"I don't know. It seems that he met someone he knows and came over to say hello. For some reason, he didn't say too many words before he started fighting," Mercy Cun explained.
"He seems to be injured, and he refused to go to the hospital, so hurry up!" She added.
Leopold Demps temper was indeed quite irritable at times, and it's not that he had never fought with others before.
However, he usually didn't fight for no reason.
Basically, the other party provoked him first and stepped on his bottom line.
"Mercy, help me take care of him first, I'll be right over," Audrey said to Mercy Cun.
Audrey Turnha was so anxious, afraid that Leopold Demp had something drastic, hung up the phone and was about to leave in a hurry.
Remembering that Elizabeth Coker was still there, she turned around again.
"Elizabeth, I'm sorry, something happened to Leopold, I have to go there quickly. We'll talk when we have time," Audrey said.
Elizabeth nodded, and Audrey Turnah strode away.
When Jerry Dank arrived, he happened to see Audrey Turnah leaving through the garden.
