Chapter 75 I Can Treat Him
"If he is my boyfriend, of course he can come to my house for dinner," Audrey replied to Leopold Demp.
Leopold Demp felt as if he had been struck by lightning.
"What, Audrey, did you have a boyfriend without telling me?" He asked.
"Not yet," Audrey Turnah replied with a slight smile.
"But after dinner tonight, he will be my boyfriend if everything goes right,'' Audrey added.
Leopold Demp was astonished.
So, in the future, there will be a man who will be closer to Audrey Turnah than him, right?
Leopold Demp was so unhappy. He was so unhappy, he refused to follow Audrey Turnah upstairs.
"Who is he, I won't go," Leopold said. He revolted.
Audrey Turnah was a little amused.
"Okay, you wait in the car, and I will pick him up," Audrey replied.
She walked into the hospital building, entered the elevator room, and pressed the floor number where Dr. Greg was.
Just as the elevator doors were about to close, a familiar voice hurriedly shouted.
"Wait a minute!"
Audrey Turnah hurriedly pressed the open button, and saw Dr. Greg rushing in, panting and sweating profusely.
The two of them looked at each other, and they were all stunned.
Dr. Greg was surprised.
"Didn't you ask for leave, Audrey? Why are you back?" He asked her.
"The matter is I needed a leave for has been settled, so there is no need to ask," Audrey replied.
Then she cleared her throat.
"How about you, Doctor? You are off work, why are you coming to the hospital so late?" Audrey asked.
Dr. Greg shrugged.
He wiped the sweat from his head.
"The Mr. Dank who came to see me the day before yesterday had a severe headache, and the painkiller injections were useless. Jessica Hun called me, so I am in a hurry... .." Dr. Greg explained.
Audrey Turnah didn't know why, but her heart tightened.
"Which Mr. Dank?" She asked.
Dr. Greg was very impressed with this Mr. Dank's one million dollars consultation fee.
"It is said that he is the boss of a mobile phone communication company, named Jerry Dank,'' Dr. Greg replied vaguely.
The elevator door opened at this moment, and Audrey Turnah's footsteps, which she was about to take, stopped.
She pressed the close button of the elevator again.
"I'll go up with you to have a look," she said.
Dr. Greg glanced at the floor.
"This is the orthopedic clinic. Why, do you want to find Peter?" He asked Audrey.
Audrey Turnah didn't deny it.
"Yes," she replied.
"I know something is going on between you two,'' Dr. Greg said to Audrey.
He smiled knowingly.
"Jessica Hun said that in the morning he would send you flowers. The relationship will be made public soon, I am sure. Please remember to send my candy,'' he added.
Audrey Turnah pursed her lips and said nothing.
But she was thinking in her heart, why did Jerry Dank suddenly have a headache? The pain was so severe that he had to go to the hospital.
The two hurried out of the elevator, and saw Collins Date waiting outside the elevator. Seeing Audrey Turnah, he was slightly stunned.
What a coincidence, he ran into her again.
But at the moment the situation was urgent, so Collins Date didn't bother to say anything more.
"Dr Greg, this way please," Collins said.
Dr. Greg trotted all the way and entered the ward.
Audrey Turnah stood at the door, glanced in, and was stunned for a moment.
When she parted with Jerry Dank at the seaside earlier, he obviously looked fine.
But at this moment, he was leaning on the hospital bed with his eyes closed, his face was pale, his brows were furrowed, his thin lips were tightly drawn into a line, he must have bitten his lips, and there was a little bit of bright red on the edge of his lips. Blood?
He tightly grasped the armrest of the hospital bed with one hand, with such force that one thought that the railing might be twisted in a second, his forehead was dripping with cold sweat, and his clothes were almost drenched in sweat.
He must have been in so much pain.
Dr. Greg quickly took out a set of orthopedic kits from his bag, spread them out, and picked up a thin silver needle.
"Mr. Dank, these few injections will hurt a little bit, please bear with me a little bit, and don't move around," Dr. Greg said to Jerry Dank.
He made a quick move, and a needle stuck into a valid point on Jerry Dank's forehead. Jerry Dank's body was shocked like an electric shock. However, he gritted his teeth tightly and didn't make a sound.
Immediately afterwards, several needles were inserted in various points of him.
Every time a needle was inserted, Jerry Dank's body trembled heavily, and his face became paler, and in the end, it was very pale, without even a trace of blood.
Audrey Turnah looked at him so much that her heart rose.
However, after Dr. Greg finished piercing a lot of injections into Jerry Dank's body, Jerry Dank's tense and stiff body slowly relaxed, and his frowning brows gradually eased.
In the end, he actually closed his eyes and seemed to be asleep.
Collins Date was overjoyed when he saw this.
"Doctor Greg, you have such skills, why didn't you tell me last time we came here?" Collins Date asked.
Dr. Greg wiped the sweat from his head.
"Today's situation is urgent, and it can't be compared with last time. Besides, not everyone can get used to my hand. If it is used well, it can relieve pain. If it is not used well, then it's risky," Dr. Greg said.
Collins Date was stunned.
"What risk?" He asked.
"Let's put it this way, the root cause of Mr. Dank's disease is different from that of ordinary people, and the onset is much more severe. It cannot be cured without heavy methods," Dr. Greg revealed.
Then he retracted the needle.
"But by my method of treatment, first, it will be very painful, which is difficult for ordinary people to bear, and it is inevitable that they will not cooperate with the struggle and move around. If they move, my needle will stick crookedly, and it will not end up well if it is not straight,'' Dr. Greg explained to Collins.
He carefully put the injections back into the bag, and then continued.
"Second, I am not a god after all, so I may not be able to cure this disease. If you expect too much from me, it will not be cured by then Mr. Dank will feel resentful towards me and make trouble for me," the doctor added.
Nowadays, there were many stories about doctors being verbally abused, beaten and scolded by the family members of patients because the disease that they were paid to treat and cure, could not be cured.
Not long ago, there was a doctor in the emergency department of the hospital who was beaten by his family and was hospitalized, and he was still recuperating.
So the day before yesterday, Dr. Greg only prescribed medicine and did not mention this special treatment.
After all, Jerry Dank's imperial position was high and famous, if he couldn't be cured, it would be dangerous to have anything to do with him.
But tonight's situation was really special, Dr. Greg did not expect that Jerry Dank's attack would be so severe, and saving people was the most important thing to him, so he could only take a risk.
"Doctor Greg, the two points you mentioned are not a problem at all. Jerry Dank is the one who can bear the pain the most, so there will never be the situation of him not co-operating with you, just like you mentioned. As for the second point, it will not happen..." Collins Date said to the doctor.
He wanted to make a promise with all his heart and soul.
"You just need to do your best to cure it. If you really can't cure it, then we will admit it and we will never cause you any trouble. If you are worried, I can give you a guarantee in writing," Collins Date assured the doctor.
Dr. Greg pondered slightly, obviously still a little worried.
Before the treatment of many patients, the family members' guarantees were just hype, because once something went wrong in the later stage, they would immediately turn their faces and deny.
"Doctor Greg, just promise Mr. Date that you will treat Mr. Dank. They are not the kind of unreasonable people. You can rest assured," Audrey Turnah hurried into the ward to say to her senior doctor colleague.
Dr. Greg was a little surprised.
"Do you know them?" He asked her.
Audrey Turnah nodded.
"They are my... high school classmates," she said.
She was right, they were indeed classmates in Bullen High School for more than a month.
Jerry Dank didn't sleep deeply at first, when he suddenly heard Audrey Turnah's voice in a blur of consciousness, he thought he was dreaming.
He opened his eyes slightly, and saw the girl who was talking to Dr. Greg, and he couldn't help but become startled.
"Since we are all acquaintances, let's talk about it. Mr. Dank's illness, I can cure it. However, let me say the ugly thing first, I can only be 60 to 70% sure of curing Mr. Dank's illness, and I need Mr. Dank's absolute cooperate with me,'' Dr. Greg said sternly.
"Last time I said that Mr. Dank needs to take medicine for three months. Now that a vital treatment is added, Mr. Dank must live in our hospital every day for these three months. No matter how busy he is, he can't leave. Otherwise, if it is broken one day, it will fall short," Dr. Greg explained.
"That's no problem! No matter how busy you are at work, it's not as important as being healthy!" Collins Date quickly said.
Dr. Greg nodded.
"Okay, then take care of Mr. Dank, and I'll leave first. He's fine now. I'll go to work tomorrow, and I'll come over to discuss the specific treatment plan with you," he said to Collins Date.
"Dr. Greg, what kind of disease does he have? Why does he have a headache?" Audrey Turnah could not help but ask.
