Chapter 82 I Told You To Leave
Jerry Dank was reading a research and development report. He frowned and raised his head when he heard this.
"Collins, are less busy?" He asked coldly.
He threw a business report in front of Collins Date.
"If you are particularly free, how about this report, you can study it carefully and give me an analysis result?" Jerry Dank asked politely, yet with sarcasm.
Collins Dates was speechless.
Isn't this embarrassing him? Jerry Dank had always been responsible for the research and development of this business, but he didn't understand.
"I'm not idle. Didn't I come here for you?" Collins Date asked.
Collins Date was also full of anger today.
"Miss Turnah came all the way from Mullan City to Bullen to treat you, why didn't you agree? How long do you want to delay this illness? You want to withdraw from Miss Turnah's life, is it possible to retreat by evading like this? If you really want to end it completely, you might as well face her directly!" He scolded Jerry Dank.
Collins Date said what was stuck in his heart, and he felt much better.
"Miss Turnah is still waiting for your reply downstairs, you can figure it out yourself!" He added.
He closed the door with a "bang" and walked away with a cold face. The secretary outside was stunned.
It was the first time that Mr. Date, who always had a smile on his face and was very talkative, lost his temper.
Jerry Dank was silent for a long time, but in the end, he still called Audrey Turnah.
Audrey Turnah happily picked up the call.
"Boss Dank, you..." Audrey started to say.
"Audrey Turnah."
Jerry Dank interrupted her.
"If Collins' conveyance is not clear enough, I don't mind telling you personally, I don't want you to treat this disease," Jerry Dank said lightly.
Anyone could come to see him, except Audrey Turnah.
On the other end of the phone, the man's voice sounded alienated and indifferent.
"This is my answer, you can go,'' he said to Audrey.
Audrey Turnah wanted to ask why he didn't want her to treat him, but he hung up the phone.
Audrey Turnah was speechless.
She thought that treating Jerry Dank might not go so smoothly, but she never expected that it would not go so smoothly.
Audrey Turnah will start further study the next day, so she will be busy, and only today was free.
She thought about it and decided to continue waiting.
After Jerry Dank got off work, she wanted to ask him face to face, why didn't she want her to treat him?
Were her medical skills that bad?
Audrey Turnah waited for a long time, but still couldn't see Jerry Dank.
Seeing that it was past ten o'clock in the evening, the lights on many floors of the building had been extinguished, and only a few floors were still brightly lit.
She called Collins Date again.
"Mr. Date, is Mr. Dank still busy?" Audrey asked.
Collins Date was stunned.
"It's so late, Miss Turnah, you haven't left yet?" Collins Date asked.
"No, I want to talk to Mr. Dank face to face after he gets off work," Audrey insisted.
Collins Date was really annoyed, what the hell was Jerry Dank doing?
Didn't he tell him that Audrey Turnah was downstairs waiting for his reply, yet he was so cruel that he let the girl wait downstairs for so long?
"The company has a new mobile phone product that has just been developed, and some functions need to be adjusted urgently, and he is still working overtime," Collins Date suppressed his anger and said to Audrey Turnah.
"Miss Turnah, wait a moment, I'll go find him right away," he added.
Jerry Dank had just finished a meeting with the senior executives of the development department, and returned to the office a little tired.
He leaned back on the chair and rubbed his temples, endured a dull headache, turned on the computer, and was about to continue working.
Collins Date opened the door and came in, his face darker than when he slammed the door before.
"I give you two choices, first, go downstairs to see Miss Turnah, second, I will bring her to see you, you choose which one?" Collins Date asked Jerry.
Jerry Dank was slightly startled.
"Is she... still downstairs?" He asked Collins.
"What do you think? Jerry, I'm not talking about you. When someone likes someone, they try their best to create conditions to pursue the person they like. You just gave up too soon to start with. Now that the opportunities are presented to you, you refuse to take them. I, an outsider, can't stand it!" Collins Date ranted.
He really hated iron but not steel.
"Even if you promised her to withdraw from her life and don't want to chase her back, it's not you who are going to destroy her life now, it's her who came to you, Jerry! You see her, let her treat your illness, so what?" Collins asked.
Audrey Turnah stood for a long time, her legs were a little sore, so she just hugged her knees and squatted for a while.
A little bored, she picked up a twig and drew circles on the ground.
She thought to herself, if Jerry Dank still refused to see her or receive treatment, then should she just give up?
Originally, she sincerely wanted to return his favor, but she was sincere enough after waiting for so long tonight.
But if Jerry Dank insisted on not allowing her to treat him, then he really couldn't blame her.
Just as she was thinking so, a pair of men's shoes came into view.
Looking up, there were long straight legs wrapped in black trousers with excellent texture.
Looking further up Audrey Turnah saw Jerry Dank's resolute and stern face, which was outrageously handsome.
He looked down at her from a high position, his expression was almost indifferent, but his eyes were deep and hard to distinguish, with emotions that Audrey Turnah couldn't understand.
Audrey stood up quickly, but because she squatted for a long time and got up too hard, she was a little dizzy and staggered.
Jerry Dank instinctively reached out to support her.
The faint fragrance from the girl's body wafted out, Jerry Dank waited for her to stand still, and let go of her almost immediately.
He looked away, and said in a deep voice.
"Didn't I tell you that you can go?" He asked.
Why was she still here, waiting for him for a few hours, was she stupid or not?
"Mr. Dank, I don't know why you don't want me to treat you, but if you are worried about my medical skills, then there is no need to be," Audrey addressed Jerry Dank.
She could think of Jerry Dank's reason for rejecting her, and it could only be this point that she had mentioned.
"As a doctor, it is my responsibility to be responsible to the patient. If I am not absolutely sure, I will not come to Bullen to see you,'' Audrey told Jerry Dank.
Jerry Dank was silent and did not speak.
Audrey Turnah thought about her words.
"Mr. Dank, do you still remember the night your father had a car accident many years ago, I went to the hospital to find you in the middle of the night and insisted on helping you make a power point presentation for the press conference?" Audrey Turnah asked.
"At that time, you were not willing to allow me to help you at first, but I didn't let you down, right? It is self-evident, which is more important to do between a presentation or to save lives. Since I came to you, Mr. Dank, I will definitely not will disappoint you," Audrey Turnah assured him.
Because of the height difference, Audrey Turnah raised her face slightly, looked at Jerry Dank seriously, and said these words.
This year, it was the early summer of May in Bullen City.
The summer night was cool and the moonlight was relaxing.
The moonlight intertwined with the warm yellow light of the street lamps, gently enveloped Audrey.
It revealed a small face that was extremely clean without makeup, but the facial features were bright and exquisite, and even the moonlight couldn't hide the beauty.
Jerry Dank's Adam's apple rolled, and after a while, he said in a low voice.
"It's not because of your medical skills."
There was some doubt in Audrey's clear eyes.
"Why is that?" She asked.
Jerry Dank pursed his lips, his eyes became darker.
Naturally, it was because he had no confidence in his self-control.
Across the distance, not seeing each other, barely able to bear restraint.
But if he sees her every day, he really can't guarantee whether he will violate his promise to her, disregard her wishes, and forcibly... imprison her by his side.
In the darkest part of his heart, there seemed to be an invisible beast that was about to move.
Right now, with his self-control, he could barely suppress it, but once the beast broke through the gap of reason, whether she had a boyfriend or was married, she will no longer be within his scruples.
At that time, he might become so strange and disgusting to himself.
