Chapter 45 It's The Baman Culprits
Audrey Turnah thought of the witness Collins Dates mentioned, and then thought of the car accident and the strange death of the maintenance worker.
She vaguely understood what Henry Dank meant, and even had a bad guess.
From the beginning to the end of this car accident, someone was deliberately planning to frame the Turnah family.
And the real murderer... probably had something to do with the Baman family.
"Audrey, this matter is very important, I think it's better to tell your father and let him make the decision,'' Abel told Audrey.
Abel was afraid that Audrey would be impulsive and confront Jeremiah Baman.
Audrey Turnah thought about it, and this seemed to be the safest way.
However, when she arrived at the company, Jeremiah Baman was actually in Peter Turnah's office, talking and laughing happily!
Both Peter Turnah and Charles Turnah had dark faces, each of them getting uglier than the other by the second.
"Boss, Mr. Turnah, we have some friendship anyway, so I just came to see you in person. If it was someone else, I wouldn't do the honor," Jeremiah Baman said.
"Mr. Baman, my dad doesn't need this honor. Both of you are just competitors and have never had any friendship!" Charles Turnah replied sternly.
"Charles, you used to call me Uncle Jerry when you were young, how come the older you get, the more rude you become?" Jeremiah Baman asked.
Charles Turnah's face was livid with anger, and he was about to say something.
"Thanks to Mr. Baman for being considerate and willing to come to me, but the Turnah family already has a plan for the land in the east of the city. It does not matter if you paid double the price, even if you paid ten times, I would never sell," Peter Turnah said.
"Mr. Turnah you are so tough. I really admire it. But don't say I didn't remind you, the current mobile phone market of the Turnah family is no longer as it was when it was evenly matched with the Baman family," Jeremiah Baman said to Peter Turnah.
"Whatever Jeremiah Baman wants, he will always get it, no matter what price he has to pay," Jeremiah Baman added.
He dropped this sentence and got up to leave.
His eyes fell on Audrey Turnah at the door of the office. Jeremiah Baman gave her a meaningful look and walked away.
Charles Turnah was so angry that he slammed his fist on the coffee table.
"Jeremiah Baman is really deceiving people too much!" He said.
This was clearly a naked threat!
"Jeremiah Baman has always acted like this, and what he said is also true. The Baman family is now, at least in the mobile phone market, better than the Turnah family," Peter Turnah said in a deep voice.
"He will never let go of the land in the east of the city. Maybe something will happen. You must be more careful in the future. Keep your eyes and ears open," he added.
Charles Turnah was in charge of the development of the land in the east of the city.
"That piece of land had long belonged to the Turnah family. As long as we don't sell it, he can do nothing to us," Peter Turnah said.
Charles Turnah didn't take Jeremiah Baman seriously, but he still humbly accepted his father's advice.
"Don't worry, Dad, I'll call all the responsible persons for a meeting. To find any clues," he said to his father.
Audrey was waiting for Charles Turnah to leave in a hurry.
As soon as Charles Baman left, only then did Audrey Turnah settle down, and told Peter Turnah about the card and Jerry Dank's doubts.
Peter Turnah was extremely angry.
"Jeremiah Baman is really unscrupulous!! The abacus is on my daughter's head!" He ranted.
"The car accident was most likely caused by Jeremiah Baman. He bought the maintenance worker with bribe and tampered with Marcus Coker's car. After the incident happened, he killed the maintenance worker to silence him," Audrey Tirnah explained.
"Abel said that if the police investigate, they will only find the remittance records on the card, and all suspicions will point to the Turnah family," Audrey continued to explain.
"But my card was and still is in Charles Baman's hands. Charles Baman can testify that his father took my card," Audrey added.
She believed that the police would make a decision impartially.
"Why don't we just call the police?" She suggested.
"It's not that simple," Peter Turnah replied.
Peter Turnah looked cold and serious.
"Since Jeremiah Baman dared to be so confident, he must have prepared a foolproof response. What's more, his son has a secondary card, and the main card has always been in your hand," he shook his head and explained to Audrey.
Since Jeremiah Baman was determined to get the chip from the Dank family, he did not hesitate to murder and frame the Turnah family.
Now that Dank's company had gone bankrupt, it was probably Jeremiah Baman's fault. He bought Henry Dank's chip and got a favor.
It could only be said that Jeremiah Baman's move to kill with a knife was really ruthless.
To make it clear is to put the shit basin on the Turnah family's head, but the Turnah family would not accept it.
Peter Turnah pondered for a moment.
"Are you sure that Jerry Dank will not tell the police what he knows?" He asked Audrey.
Once the police get involved, the Turnah family was bound to suffer from the previous public opinion storm again, and the loss would be immeasurable.
Peter Turnah didn't want to suffer this kind of disaster again.
Audrey was not sure.
"He just said that the evidence at hand is not enough to convict the real culprit behind the scenes. Come to think of it, he is still looking for evidence," she replied.
However, what he was looking for was evidence from the Turnah family, but he never expected that the real culprit was not the Turnah family at all, but the Baman family.
"Then we still have time," Peter Turnah said.
