Chapter 21 The Tale Of The Fairy

"It's not just a fairy, it's the fairy couple of the gods. They should have been a couple. Although they were not married when they were alive, people believe that after they died, they turned into a goddess couple and protected Craylow The people of the island,'' the staff smiled and replied to Audrey.

''They were not married when they were alive? Why is this?" Audrey asked, she was more interested and puzzled.

"They had a marriage contract, but before they got married, the woman died," the staff replied.

Legend has it that the man was a general who was ordered to fight against ruthless pirates along the coast. The pirates retreated, sending people to sneak into Craylow Island to kill all the people on the island, but allow the woman jump into the sea to escape, and then sent a pirate disguised as a fisherman to rescue the woman and send her to the general.

On the day the general was encircling the pirates, he was ambushed by the enemy and they nearly wiped out his entire army. After investigation, it was discovered that the encirclement and suppression plan had been leaked, and the spies were fishermen brought by his fiancee.

The general felt ashamed of the courtship and the fact that his brother died as a result of the attack. He was heartbroken. He broke the marriage contract with a letter of divorce.

The woman cried and begged for forgiveness, but the general hardened his heart and expelled her from the barracks.

Soon the general received a letter that explained in detail the pirates' strongholds and the arrangement of their troops, and agreed that one day they would cooperate with the inside and outside to clear the pirates.

The general decided to take the risk and the war was won. Only then did the general discover that the person who sent the letter to him was the woman who had a marriage contract with him.

For the past six months, she hid in the pirate camp, lost her innocence, and endured humiliation and burdens, all for the sake of today.

The woman and the general saw each other for the last time, and their wish was over, and she returned to Craylow Island and commited suicide by jumping into the sea.

The general was very grief-stricken, and despite the objections of those around him, he insisted on holding a wedding with the woman.

On the night of their wedding, in the bridal chamber, he held the woman's body and sat silently all night. Early the next morning, the general buried the woman with his own hands, and then slaughtered himself in front of the woman's grave.

Later generations were grateful for their love and the way they sacrificed their lives for the general benefit of Craylow Island, so they built an ancestral hall for them and made it a sacred temple.

Knowing that this story was just a myth and most likely not true, Audrey Turnah was disappointed when she heard it.

Audrey Turnah wanted to go to the top of the mountain to see the hall, but Leopold Demp objected to it because he was not happy.

"This kind of man killed his wife, what's there to see?" He asked.

Elizabeth didn't want to go either. She was a little afraid of heights. She was afraid and had no interest in all the places where she had to climb the mountain.

In the end, Audrey Turnah had to give up.

The island had beautiful scenery and many scenic spots. After touring around, it was already dusk.

In the evening, there was a barbecue party by the beach. Charles Turnah called in the band who will perform for the opening tomorrow, and specially arranged a beach music festival to add to the fun.

Leopold Demp blocked Jerry Dank from getting close to Audrey while they were on tour, and simply ran to the yacht to surf, out of sight.

Elizabeth Coker went to the beach to pick up shells, and Jerry Dank went with her.

In a lively and cheerful music festival, only Audrey Turnah was left in the audience.

She sat bored for a while, then got up and went to the hotel to find her brother.

Charles Turnah was standing outside the balcony, talking on the phone, and didn't even notice when Audrey came in.

"I called him last time to remind him, but he didn't seem to remember it at all. At this juncture, he still can't get in touch with the Baman family,'' Charles Turnah was saying into the phone.

"Aren't they holding a conference in Long Building tomorrow? Contact the building's management committee, teach them a lesson, and let them know how to act,'' Charles Turnah further said with a cold voice.

After Charles Turnah hung up the phone, Audrey Turnah walked over.

"Charles, who are you going to teach a lesson?" She asked.

Charles Turnah smiled without changing his face.

"A few people who don't take the Turnah family seriously. You shouldn't ask about things concerning the company, Audrey,'' Charles Turnah replied.

"Then Charles, don't bully people too much, maybe we will cooperate with them in the future,'' Audrey told Charles. She was worried.

"I know. I have a spectrum,'' Charles said, rubbing Audrey's head fondly.

"Why are you not playing at the beach, instead you have come looking for me. Is it because there aren't enough activities planned, or is Jerry Dank making you angry?" Charles asked.

Audrey shook her head.

"Neither. I just came to see you,'' she said.

"Then let's have dinner,'' Charles said, called the hotel restaurant and asked to deliver the food, and specially ordered to add ice cream and fruit.

Dinner was served soon, and Charles Turnah set aside the documents stacked on the table and put out the food.

"I have been very busy these two days. When the opening of Craylow Island ends tomorrow, I will have a good time with you,'' Charles Turnah said to Audrey Turnah.
