Part Two: Ch. 53

"We're not going. Vincent literally has Death coming after him, making Lennon a target as well." Kane growled. "And you want us to go to some stupid dance."

"It's the bi-annual mate ball, Kane. We have to go." Gabriel scowled. "You know that."

"No." Kane shrugged .

"You and Trixie both decided to have it twice a year so it's your responsibility to show up!" Gabriel argued. "It would be pretty fucked up if the Kings and Queens didn't show their support on this. Especially since you're all about finding your mate and.."

"Okay, okay!" Kane threw his head back with an annoyed sigh. "Trixie and I will go... Just stop talking about it." Kane grumbled.

"It's Friday and starts at 10 p.m. since the majority of the guests won't be of age until midnight." Gabriel explained.

"Yeah, I know.." Kane sighed while standing up. "Is that all?"

"A new family just moved into the pack." Gabriel whispered. "Right after you took Sebastian prisoner.."

Kane raised a questioning eyebrow at Gabriel. "And?"

"And.. Alpha Max told me that Hardin kept catching the new kid, Dustin, staring at Vincent all throughout the day." Gabriel answered.

"Why the fuck didn't *Alpha* Max tell me this himself??" Kane growled.

"He tried.. buuuut youuuu are very, very good at ignoring people. Especially the people you hate." Gabriel deadpanned.

"I don't *hate* Max.." Kane rolled his eyes. "I just... strongly dislike him.."

Gabriel snorted and leaned back in his chair. "I just wanted to let you know. It's a bit sketchy.. They show up after Sebastian gets taken? I just don't want anything happening to Vincent or Lennon.."

"I know, I know. Thank you." Kane smiled, thoughtfully. "I'll look into it."

"Alright, cool. Now leave." Gabriel waved him away.

"Okay, rude." Kane scoffed while heading towards the door.

"Evy is on her way." Gabriel cleared his throat while getting more comfortable. "So please.. GO AWAY."

"You're going to have sex." Kane laughed while exiting the room with Gabriel glaring at his back.

"Stop it!" Lennon whispered, yelled while swatting away Vincents' hand.

Vincent grinned while sliding his hand back up Lennons' thigh. "Oh, come on baby." Vincent purred.

"Please stop.." Todd begged from in front of them. Vincent let out an annoyed scoff while KJ laughed.

"Behave!" Lennon whispered while his entire neck and cheeks turned red.

"Fine!" Vincent grumbled while sitting up straight.

"You can literally fill up on Lennon anytime of the day so can you please just chill out for the next two hours while we finish this homework?" Todd nearly whined.

"Calm your titties bro." KJ chuckled. "It's not like Vincent is going to bang one out with us here."

"Oh my God!" Lennon squealed with embarrassment while burying his face in his hands.

"Alright, stop it guys." Vincent scowled while wrapping an arm around Lennon and pulling him closer. Todd just shrugged while scribbling some stuff on his notebook.

"Hey, Lennon.. What did you get for answer twentyseven?" KJ leaned forward on the table, eyeing Lennons' homework.

Lennons' eyes widened slightly while grabbing his papers and holding them to his chest. "I don't cheat!"

KJ pursed his lips while frowning. "Ah, come on.. Help your best friend out here!"

"You're not my best friend." Lennon scowled.

"I'm hurt!" KJ gasped while clutching his chest.

"Vinny is my best friend." Lennon nodded his head while getting back to his homework.

"Awe, Lenny!!" Vincent cooed while placing a soft kiss on his. "Are you trying to seduce me, baby?"

"Stop it.." Lennon blushed while nudging Vincent with his elbow.

Vincent growled while wrapping his arms around Lennon and nuzzling his nose in the crook of Lennons' neck. "Can't take it back now, mate." Vincent nipped at Lennons' mark causing a small gasp to leave Lennons' lips.

"Dear Goddess.." Todd grumbled while grabbing his books, getting up and walking to the other end of the dining room table.

KJ looked at them and then over at Todd. "Yeah.. I'm going to have to follow him.." KJ smiled shyly while moving over next to Todd.

"Homework!!" Trixie yelled from the kitchen. "I can hear you!"

"Alright!" Vincent shouted back. Vincent turned his attention back to Lennon with a grin. "Hey, lets' blow this popsicle stand." Vincent whispered while rubbing his nose against Lennons' cheek.

Lennon gave Vincent a chastising look. "Vinny.."

"Come on, baby. Just a small break." Vincent pouted. "We've been doing the same thing for the past three days, baby. I'm going to lose my mind being locked up in here.."

"We can go to the gardens out back.." Todd suggested. "I know your dad said you can't leave the wing but it's just the backyard."

"Exactly!" Vincent grinned. "Just for like twenty minutes!" Vincent tried to persuade Lennon.

Lennon glanced at the kitchen door before looking back at Vincent with a heavy sigh. "You're so annoying!"

Vincent had a huge grin on his face and placed a giant kiss on Lennons' cheek while standing up. "Lets' go!" KJ and Todd quickly got out of their seats and practically ran to the front door. Lennon snorted while following after them with Vincent latched onto him. "Have you been to the gardens?" Vincent questioned while tightening his arms around Lennons' waist.

Lennon shook his head. "That surprise I had planned, before it got cancelled, was going to be our first date there.." Lennon confessed with a small blush.

Vincents' eyes lit up with excitement. "Who said it has to be cancelled?" Vincent grinned while dragging Lennon towards the castles main kitchen. "What do we need?"

"Wait.." Lennon frowned. "You want to have a date now? But we don't have enough.."

"Shh!" Vincent quickly kissed Lennons' lips. "We are having a date. Our first date. Today. Right now." Vincent grinned while entering the kitchen. Vincent opened the fridge and started pulling out some fruits and sandwich supplies. "Just mustard or?"

"Just mustard." Lennon grinned while reaching for the bread. "Well and cheese, of course."

Vincent scrunched up his nose. "Fine." Vincent started reaching for some chips but Lennon quickly stopped him.

"How about some vegetables." Lennon stated more than asked.

"But I want.." Vincent frowned but let Lennon pull him away.

"I already grabbed some, no chips. Healthy food." Lennon nodded while pulling Vincent away.

"Technically bread makes you fat." Vincent argued. "So we should throw away the sandwiches."

"You shh it." Lennon nudged him. "Come on."

"Okay. I know the perfect spot." Vincent grabbed a hold of Lennons' hand and pulled him out the back door and into the garden. "There is an apple tree over there.." Vincent pointed over to a shady part of the garden.

Lennon grinned while excitement shone in his eyes. Lennon led them over to the tree and immediately frowned. "We don't have a blanket.." Lennon looked over to Vincent and grinned when he saw him holding up a blanket. "When did you get that?"

"Magic!" Vincent chuckled. "Hold the food, baby." Vincent quickly laid out the blanket and pulled Lennon down with him.

"Vincent." Kanes' stern voice boomed from behind them.

Vincent jumped slightly while whipping his head around. "Stop doing that!"

"Why don't you ever listen to me?" Kane raised an eyebrow.

"I always listen to you." Vincent dead panned. "Dad, I was going crazy in there! I just needed some fresh air and alone time with Lenny.." Vincent gave him pleading eyes.

Kane gave him a soft smile. "Okay, just don't leave the garden. I mean it, Vincent." Kane turned his head and saw KJ and Todd throwing a football back and forth to each other. "Wait, are they staying home as well?"

"Yeah, they're annoying." Vincent snorted while reaching for his sandwich.

"Okay, have fun. Love you, bye." Kane said quickly before blinking away.

"Love yo- alright, bye.." Vincent scowled while shaking his head. "Okay, where were we?" Vincent grinned while leaning forward and resting his head on Lennons' lap.

Lennon just grinned while running his fingers through Vincents' hair. "Your magic skills."
