Part Two: Ch. 20

"I'm not doing it." Kane stopped walking and crossed his arms across his chest.

"Stop being a fucking baby." Theodore snorted. "You really think he's going to try something with both of us here? Hell, Terrance is the one who kicked his ass the first time.. so I'm sure he has an idea that the King of Hell can do much more.."

"I'm. Not. Doing. It." Kane put emphasis on each word.

"Yes you are." Trixie chimed in. "What happened was almost nineteen years ago.. if he's still hung up on that idea then you can knock some sense into him. But it's not fair for us to keep him from being able to save his father or even be a part of Lily and Lennons' lives.. What's going to happen once Vincent finds out we have Lennons' kin locked up down here?"

Kane softened up when she mentioned Vincent. "Fine but if I don't like one word he says, I'm locking the door and it will *never* open again."

"Is there a possibility that Xander and Lily know each other already? I mean.. would it help if she was here.. we don't really have any proof of the information we have." Theodore suggested.

"That's not a bad idea." Trixie agreed.

Kane just growled with annoyance before he turned to one of the guards and had him send for Lily. The three of them just stood in the hallway outside of the doors that led to the 'dungeon.'

Gabriel, Azrael and Tatum got busy getting everyone settled in their new homes while Oliver and the burly man decided they were going to be staying in a couple of guest rooms across from Kanes' wing. Kane refused to let him live in their wing, much to Olivers' annoyance.

"I'm tired of waiting." Trixie announced and walked through the doors. Kane huffed his annoyance but followed after her with a laughing Theodore.

"This way." Kane instructed while pointing down a long hallway after Trixie stopped leading the way.

"I've never been down here.. it's clean.." Trixie was shocked.

"Did you expect wet, slimy brick walls with the smell of shit and death?" Theodore chuckled.

Trixies' entire face turned red but refused to respond to him, which only made him laugh louder.

"Enough!" Kane boomed. "Stop fucking around, Theo."

Theodore mumbled a sorry before getting serious.

"Why is it so quiet down here.." Trixie whispered, asking Kane.

"Most of the men and women in here just want to serve their time and leave. The more 'wild' ones get sent to Byorwoods."

"That man is fucking crazy." Theodore scoffed.

"Yeah well, he's the only one who has taken the crazy ones and kept them locked up." Kane countered.

"Byorwoods.. that's the prison for supernaturals, right?" Trixie asked.

"Indeed it is, little dove." That deep, familiar voice echoed off the walls.

Kane gritted his teeth before leading Theodore and Trixie down a few more doors.

"I thought my senses were playing tricks on me." Xander chuckled while he eyed the three of them.

"Xander." Kane greeted.

Xander nodded his head towards but his eyes fell on Trixie. "You sure have..*grown*.." Xander spoke softly while eyeing her up and down.

Kane immediately blocked his view while giving him a warning growl.

"Relax, dude. I haven't physically seen a single female in how long? It doesn't mean I'm interested in her." Xander rolled his eyes. He got up from his bed and made his way over towards the barred door. "What do you all want? You're interrupting Ellen time." Xander gestured towards the small TV that currently had Ellen DeGeneres on it.

"What! It's four o'clock already!?" Theodore asked, peeking through the bars.

"Theodore." Kane gritted.

Theodore rolled his eyes but kept his eyes trained on the show.

"Anyways.." Trixie spoke up while peeking around Kane. "We have a proposition for you."

"And what is that, little dove?" Xander smiled down at her.

Kane growled again but didn't move to hide Trixie. Xander rolled his eyes and took a few steps away from the door.

"To make a very long story short, the Dragon Empire is gone. The man who killed the king now has your father held captive and is apparently wanting to have my daughter." Kane rushed out in one breath.

"That prick can burn in hell for all I care!" Xander growled. "I'm sorry your kid is in danger but I am of no use to you." Xander walked back over to his bed and laid down.

"You don't want to save your father?" Trixie frowned. "So much for wanting to save our species." Kane growled at that but didn't say anything.

Xander just shrugged. "I've had a lot of time to think while being down here. Our species is going extinct for a reason so who am I to get in the way of mother nature."

"He's your father!" Trixie screamed.

"He's a worthless excuse of a man who abandoned all three of his children!" Xander yelled back. "He forced me to shift into my phoenix before I found my mate and then he just left me to figure it all out! Thank the Goddess, Noah found me. As for my brother and sister, they weren't even six when he left them! So yeah, little dove, he can burn in fucking hell."

"Wait.." Theodore whispered while gently shaking his head.

"Sister?" Kane asked while he gave Theodore the same knowing look.

*Set killed Lilys' brother.. This fits the profile perfectly..* Theodore gave Kane a look.

"Dammit." Kane blew out a frustrated sigh. He stepped forwards and unlocked the door to Xanders' cell.

"I'm free?" Xander raised an eyebrow at him.

"No." Kane answered. "You're still blood bound to this territory."

"Of course." Xander nodded and took a few steps outside of his cell. A huge grin grew on his face while he turned to the three of them. Kane instinctively pushed Trixie behind him while Theodore also straightened his posture. "You owe me dinner." Xander chuckled while heading down the hallway.

"Xander, there is something I need to tell you." Kane began but was too late when he saw Lily heading their way with an angry looking Set.

Everyone was frozen in their spot for what felt like an eternity until Lily started running at Xander with full speed. She slammed into his body, making him stumble back a few steps but that didn't stop him from giving her a bone crushing hug.

"I thought you were dead!" Lily said in between hiccups.

"Why would you think that?" Xander asked while he gently cupped her cheeks.

"Chase said you were.." Lily frowned and then started punching his chest while crying even more. "You left us! You left me! With him!"

Set pulled Lily away from him and wrapped his arms around her, trying to comfort her.

"I'm confused.." Xander turned to look at Kane but didn't get an answer. "Where is Chase?"

"Dead." Set responded casually.

Xanders' eyes widened slightly with shock. "Why.. how?"

"I killed him for.. hurting my kid." Set answered, not breaking eye contact with him. "He put Lily through hell after you left.. that was until I came along."

"Mates.." Xander asked but didn't really need an answer. "I have a niece? Nephew?"

Set nodded his head. "Set." He stuck out his hand to shake Xanders. "Your nephews' name is Lennon."

Xander returned the gesture. "I assume you know who I am." Set just hmm'd his response.

"We should take this upstairs." Kane suggested while ushering Trixie past everyone. "Xander, don't make me regret letting you out.. or inviting you into my home."

Xander gave a cheeky grin. "I get to see little doves' home?"

"Stop it." Kane frowned.

"No. I don't think I will." Xander grinned while he marched through the doors.

*This is going to be so much fun.. I can already tell Xander will be my new partner in crime against you.* Theodore chimed in their mindlink.

*I'll kill you. I really will.* Kane gave him his best glare.

*No. I don't think you will.* Theodore snickered, making Kane growl. Sadness immediately took over the two brothers' link. *Have you heard from him?*

*Not since before they left..* Kane murmured but quickly cleared his throat. *I don't care too anyways. William decided to just up and leave us like Jake did all those years ago. So fuck him.*

*Kane, you have every right to be upset..* Theodore began.

*UPSET? I'm fucking pissed off! He knew what we went through after Jake left and still chose to do it. I hope him and Reese find whatever the fuck they're looking for.. far the fuck away from me!* Kane roared in their link.

*It's been five years.. you need to move past..* Theodore was once again interrupted.

*If you mention him to me again. I'll break your fucking legs.* Kane snarled.

*Fucking rudepants.* Theodore scoffed.

Vincent finally got Lennon to fall back asleep after taking the pain killers and applying more medicine. Now he was just watching some TV while stealing a few glances at Lennon, making sure he was still okay.

*We hurt mate..* Axe whimpered for the millionth time.

*Axe, he's okay. How do you think humans handle the pain after losing their virginities?* Vincent rolled his eyes but shared Axes' concern equally.

*He should have healed.* Axe growled at him.

*Please shut up and take a damn nap.* Vincent snapped, Axe has been repeating the same thing over and over and Vincent has had his fill.

*Fucking make me!* Axe sneered.

*I swear I'll..* Vincent started but Lennons' whispering voice cut him off.

*Both of you stop it.* Lennon mumbled while snuggling deeper into them.

Both of them went quiet while Vincent started running his hand through Lennons' grey curls, gently massaging his scalp.

*Mate.* Axe whispered dreamly.
