Chapter Thirteen

"I'm going to be late! You have to let me go!" Trixie giggled. She's been trying to escape from Kanes arms ever since he drove her to school but Kane refuses.

"Well you're not trying very hard to get away, baby." Kane was nuzzling his nose into her neck. He really didn't want her to go back to school. He enjoyed having her by his side at all times of the day.

"Trixie?" A males voice sounded from behind them. Trixie jerked her head, making Kane growl. "Oh, hi Max." Trixie saw something weird flash in his eyes but ignored it, he probably felt awkward seeing Kane wrapped around her.

"Um.. It's good to see you, you've been gone for a few days.." Max did feel awkward but only because Kane was glaring at him. "Uh.. can I walk you to class..?" Max was unsure how this monster would react, it's not like he would make a scene, would he?

"I don't think so budd.." Kane was interrupted by Trixie. "Sure, give me a minute." Kane just frowned. *Kill him!* Goliath was not happy. *We should walk her to class, that way they know who she belongs to!* Kane just groaned at his beast, so crazy. "Who is that?" Kane asked, not even trying to hide the unhappy tone in his voice.

"His name is Max. He is Alpha Jacksons son. He's harmless. He's the only one who actually stuck up for me since I've been here." Trixie explained. She stepped closer to Kane so only he could hear her whisper. "We barely ever talk, just when I thank him for helping me. I don't really consider us friends. So please don't overthink it." She gave him a gentle kiss on his cheek and a tight hug.

Kane took advantage of the sweetness and smashed his lips to hers roughly. He moved his head to the side and started trailing kisses down her neck and to her collar. Making sure to leave even more hickies in their place. He slowly lifted his head and made eye contact with Max and gave an evil smirk. Kane gently brushed Trixies hair behind her shoulder, revealing all of her love bites. Kane saw how Maxs entire body tensed, jaws tightened and fists balled up. *That's what I thought.* Goliath and Kane both thought. *He wants our mate!* Goliath growled out. Ready to attack any minute. *Relax, she's ours and we proved that last night. He would be a complete fucking fool to try anything.* Kane tried to calm his beast and himself down. *We need to mark her soon! Nothing can keep us away after that!* Kane just ignored his beast. Kane wasn't worried about Trixie leaving them at all. He knew where he stood in her life.

"Are you going to let me get my education now or hold me hostage all day?" Trixie teased.

"Which would you prefer?" Kane smirked at his little mate. Not a care in the world that every single pair of eyes were on them.

"I'm okay with either one buuuut I think you'd be upset with yourself if you kept me from learning, right kitten?" Trixie purposely lowered her voice and purred the last bit of that, knowing she would get to them. She was right because a deep growl grew from his chest and his eyes flashed red for a split second letting her know that Goliath heard her teasing him.

Kane took a deep breath. "Okay, okay! Get to class, love. If you need me at all, just say my name, baby. I'll be there in a blink of an eye. I mean it, you need anything at all. Anyone harassing you, bullying you, just call for me, okay?" Kane cupped her cheeks and pulled her closer to him and leaned in for a soft kiss. "Mmm, you taste devine, my love." It was always hard for him to pull away from her.

Trixie just giggled. "You do too, kitten." Trixie opened the car door, grabbed her bag and gently smacked Kanes ass before running off towards the school. She heard his growl but just kept moving. *What has gotten into me!* Trixie thought to herself. She's never been so brave like this before. Her new found confidence faded quickly the second she walked into the school. Everyone turned to look at her. *Oh great.* Trixie made her way to her locker, completely forgetting about Max.

"So the King of Hell has found his mate, huh?" Max sneered at Kane.

"Listen pup. I don't really give a fuck that you're the future Alpha. I was two second away from ripping your fathers heart out but lucky for you, that sweet little angel there pulled me away just in time. I won't think twice about devouring your fucking soul if you harm one fucking hair on her body. You and your mutt better keep yourself in check. We wouldn't want you to just '*disappear,*' now would we?" Kane always surprises himself with how calm he can remain when he dishes out threats.

Max on the other hand completely paled. *He doesn't know about our plan, does he? There's no fucking way! Unless that slut Ashley told him! Maybe she's making her move on him already! I'll fucking kill her!* Max and his wolf were fuming! The thought of that woman betraying him had him visibly shaking.

"Oh you fool. You should learn to keep your thoughts closed off. As for this *slut Ashley,* I don't know who she is but I'll kill her just as fast as I'll kill you if you really think you can take Trixie away from me. I accept your challenge *Alpha.*" Kane gave Max a once over and got in his car to leave.

Max at a loss for words. Was his plan already ruined before he could even take action? Max decided he would worry about this later. Right now he needs to find Ashley and make sure the bitch doesn't do anything stupid. As Max walked away, Kane exited the vehicle again but only after making sure the parking lot was empty.

Kane closed his eyes and whistled and chanted in some strange language. When he opened his eyes, his boy was sitting there patiently awaiting his orders. "Demy, come here!" Kane hasn't seen his hellhound since they came to earth. He was used to Demy always being by his side constantly. He made Demy stay behind just in case, he didn't really know what to expect after coming here for so long. He didn't know how the wolves and lycans would react to a dog, especially a hellhound. After seeing all sorts of pets around them and now that he knows he needs someone to watch over Trixie when he's not there, Demy was the perfect candidate. Demy would give his life for Trixie even though you can't really kill a hellhound. They're not really alive to begin with.

Demy jumped in Kanes arms with excitement! He loved his dad more than most dogs love their humans. "Demy, I found our queen. You need to go to her and stay with her at ALL times. Got it?" Kane was always gentler when speaking to Demy. He never had to use a commanding voice because Demy followed him blindly, trusting Kane and Goliath fully. Hellhounds weren't like dogs at all, besides their earth form was indeed a normal dog. They understood every single word that people said, making them the perfect spy for the Eternal Kingdom. "I'm sure you can smell her scent on me. Go on and protect your queen, Demy." Kane instructed Demy while showering him with kisses. "Here, give her this as well." Kane wrote a quick note and Demy gladly took it and took off towards the school. Kane watched as he disappeared and got in his car and headed off towards the castle. *Today is going to be a long one, help keep me sane here, G.* Kane spoke to Goliath but only got a 'hmmm' in return.

Walking to my locker was awkward. Everyone just stared at me. I knew I was going to get a lot of attention but I didn't know it would be like this. I'm sure everyone saw Kanes show of affection in the parking lot, not only that but all the hickies on me. Might as well get used to everyone staring at me. Trixie was just thinking to herself when a small voice spoke behind her.

"Hi, my name is Lucy!" Trixie nearly jumped out of her own skin! "Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" Lucy rushed her words, worried.

"It's okay, haha. You just surprised me... but um, why are you talking to me? You never have before?" Trixie just stared at the woman, she's seen her around school and this Lucy girl would always have a look of guilt in her eyes when looking at her. While Trixie was looking at her, she noticed the baby bump and gigantic guard standing directly behind her, making Trixie add more confusion to her face.

"Well you know that I'm new here. I've only been her for a couple of months now. I've always wanted to talk to you but anytime I would try, you wouldn't even glance at me and then when people saw me trying to talk to you, they would harass me a bit. One guy even put his hands on me. My mate found out about it, threw that guy in a cell and he told me to stop 'meddling' in other peoples business. I didn't go into much detail with him about it because I was going to simply ignore him, he wasn't my boss. Well before I could even try to talk to you again, we found we were going to have a pup!" Lucy spoke really fast and was rubbing her belly the entire time. "And after that, this giant here is now my bodyguard. With my mate being Kol, Gabriels general, he is taking zero chances. If Kol himself isn't with me then this nerd here is." Lucy giggled while pointing to her bodyguard behind her. His face remained emotionless but a small smirk played at his lips when she mentioned him. "And I also figured we could be friends. I mean, I know you won't want to be my friend just because of my status. Being the third in command mate has given me a lot of unwanted attention. The girls here have tried befriending me in hopes of getting closer to the castle. Shameless sluts. But since you're mated to Mr. Kane, I figured we could have the chance of an actual friendship growing." Lucy beamed with excitement.

"You sure do talk fast, Lucy." Trixie chuckled. "But I get your point. Um... we can try to be friends but I don't like this attention. I like being invisible." Trixie explained.

"Well lets start with walking to class! We can get to know each other better and plus Kol will be happy that I'm actually getting a new friend, one that doesn't want me just for my title!" Lucy chirped away while her and Trixie walked to class.

*This indeed is going to be an interesting day. I already made a friend apparently.*
