Chapter Fourteen
"Please stop punishing me, BB. PLEEEAASSE!" Theodore and the guys were still suffering from their hangovers and slight pain from goddess knows what. Theodore just wanted it to all go away.
"Fine. Only because we have some emergency meeting with Gabriel and I need you and William to be focused." Kane wanted to keep the act up all day but of course something always happens.
"Thank you!" Theodore could already feel his body starting the healing process. Great thing about being a demon, they heal a lot faster than wolves. "What's the emergency about?" Theodore asked.
"I guess we'll find out when we get there." Kane shrugged. "Make sure William meets us there."

Walking to class wasn't any less awkward. People still just stared at me. At least no one approached. *Thank goddess.* Lucy sure can talk but I can tell she really is a sweet girl and I know I said I didn't want to make friends with anyone here but I think I can make an exception for her.
"Ms. Tells, can you explain to me why you thought it would be appropriate to bring a dog to school with you?" Mr. Summers, just one of many teachers who don't like Trixie all that much, didn't seem very happy about it.
"What? What are yo.." Trixie was interrupted by Demy nudging her knee with his snout and adding a small whine.
Mr. Summers was never a patient man. "You brought a dog to class for what, Ms. Tells? You're always bringing trouble to yourself and now you see why, you do shit like this!" Mr. Summers wasn't being very teacher like.
Trixie on the other hand was completely lost. *Where the hell did this dog come from?* She didn't even hear a word the teacher said. Which only provoked him more. "Mr. Summers, I honestly have no idea where he came from!" Trixie tried to explain herself.
"Mr. Summers, I saw her walk into school with him!"
"Yeah, she definitely brought him!"
"She's probably scared she'll get made fun of! Look at all those marks on her neck!"
Student after student kept trying to throw Trixie under the bus. They always seemed to love to have her get in trouble.
"For every hour he is here, is an hour in detention. Just because you want to dress and act like a whore.." Mr. Summers was interrupted by Lucys guard laughing way too hard. "What's so damn funny?"
"Oh goddess... you really are an idiot..." Mike, Lucys guard could barely breathe. He was laughing so hard.
"Excuse me young man?? Listen here..." Mr. Summers began but was stopped again from Mikes uncontrollable laughter.
"You just insulted and disrespected your queen. Oh, haha. I'm sorry but you're a dead man walking, Mr. Summers." Mike managed to get a bit more serious at the end. Kane would definitely find out, if Trixie didn't tell him, Mike was going to pass the message himself.
Mr. Summers just rolled his eyes. He didn't have time to listen to some idiotic guard. "Detention, after school." That's all he said to Trixie and walked back to the front of the class to continue his teaching.
Trixie just lowered her head and looked over at this dog and gave him a glare. It's his fault she has detention now. Demy just lowered his ears and head, almost like he was submitting to her. Trixie was a bit shocked by this and that's when she noticed the piece of paper next to her foot. She picked it up and read it. '*Baby, this is Demy. I know you would never let me assign a bodyguard to you. Demy is better than one anyways. I'll pick you up after school, my love. Remember, call for me if you need anything! Love, your mate.*' Cute. Trixie stretched her hand out to pet Demy and he gladly accepted. *I knew today was going to be interesting.*

A bunch of men and one tiny little woman sat around the giant conference room table, talking amongst themself. Gabriel was growing impatient, he called for Kane over 30 minutes ago, he should be here by now! Evy could feel his emotion. *It's okay, hun. I heard demons never get out of the honeymoon stage. He did just meet his mate, give him some time.* Evy sweetly smiled at her mate, squeezing his hand for reassurance. Gabriel couldn't help but smile. *You always manage to calm me down, even with the most simplest of words.* Gabriel mindlinked her back. Placing a light kiss on her head and then her baby bump. He could never stay upset when she was around.
The doors swing open, revealing Kane, Theodore and William. "What's the emergency?" Kane wasted no time in getting down to business. He's never one to waste time.
"I called you 30 minutes ago! Where the hell have you been, Kane? What does emergency mean to you? Anything could have been happening!" Gabriel had to hold back a growl. Kane was a good friend of his but sometimes he just wanted to smack the shit out of him.
"Well I was busy spending my morning with my mate. I dropped her off at school and then came here." Kane knew he was in the wrong. "I'm sorry, I should have told you that I would be late. I'm not used to 'co-running' a kingdom." Kane gave a very small and tight smile. He doesn't ever explain himself, so why the hell was he now?
The men in the room just sat there with their jaws hung low. The King of Hell just apologized?? *Wow, brother, Trixie really is changing you, huh? Or was it her sweet little...* Theodore was cut off with a growl. *Shut the fuck up or I'll kill you, Theo.* Kane has had enough of his brother.
Kane made his way to his seat and made himself comfortable. "So the emergency? What is it?" Kane asked again.
"Right, well Lord Vladimir is on his way here. He wants to go over some things since we are uniting the two kingdoms." Gabriel mentioned.
"On his way here? Right now?" Theodore asked.
"Yes, he wants to make sure his clans are a part of this. He also knows you don't trust vampires all that well but he is different from other vampire clans. At least hear him out." Gabriel knows Kane doesn't approve of the blood suckers but he has no idea how good of a man Vladimir is.
"I'll hear him out." That was all Kane said before pulling out his phone and checking his emails while waiting for the Lords arrival.
*Ouch!* Evy yelped.
All the men jerked forward ready to help their queen. "What's wrong, baby??" Gabriel started to panic, thinking that the baby might make an early entrance.
"Just my back is starting to hurt. Relax, I'm okay." Evy explained.
"Let's get you to bed. I shouldn't have agreed to let you come here. You should be resting." Gabriel shook his head, he knew better than to let her sit here for so long.
"Ugh, fine!" Evy huffed, got up and started waddling towards the door with Gabriel hot on her trail. "I'll be right back." Gabriel yelled while walking out the door.
Kane just watched them. He couldn't wait until the day that Trixie was waddling around with his baby growing inside her. *Soon.. soon.* Goliath spoke with much confidence.
It only took about 10 minutes for Gabriel to come back and by the time he was back, a guard notified them that Lord Vladimir had arrived.
"Gabriel! How have you been!" A deep but yet excited voice boomed from the door. "I've missed you guys, terribly!"
"Vladimir!" Gabriel showed equal enthusiasm. He always enjoyed Vladimirs company.
"Hold on, where are the girls and your hell raiser at? It's been years since I've last seen them and they aren't here to greet me! I'm hurt!" Vladimir placed a hand over his heart and faked being hurt.
"Still dramatic I see. Evy is in bed, she's due in two weeks. Angel is somewhere around here. Causing trouble I'm sure with her brother." He always loved how much Vladimir cared about children, no matter what species they are.
"Well I'll have plenty of time to catch up with them later." Vladimir was hinting at something.
"Ahh, I see. And how long will this visit last, my good friend?" Gabriel just smiled, knowing that Vladimir could decide to stay for however long he wants knowing that he would welcome him with open arms.
"Hmm, two weeks at the least! Like I said it has been years and I do enjoy you and your families company. They always make us feel at home here." Vladimir just smiled.
"This is your home. You're family to us, Vlad." Gabriel brought him in for a hug.
"This is adorable, watching your 'reunion' or whatever but can we get down to business? I have somewhere to be at three." Kane enjoyed interrupting their moment a little too much.
"Right. It's nice to finally meet you, King Kane. I'm Lord Vladimir but please just call me Vlad. This is my son Tatum and my guards..." Vlad went through the names of the guards but Kane didn't really care, he was just wanting Vladimir to hurry up.
"Nice to meet you all. Obviously I'm Kane, this here is my brother and second, Prince Theodore and my third, Captain William but no one cares about them so let's move on." Kane rushed his words.
"Ass." William whispered under his breath. Kane just smirked. Theodore didn't say a single word, in fact he's been completely quiet since Vladimir and Tatum walked through the door.
Vladimir began talking about his clans and wanting to make sure his kind was welcomed to mix with Kanes people. Vladimir had a hard time with wolves. Most of the other supernatural creatures accepted if their mate was a vampire, except wolves. Vampires would often get rejected and Vladimir would have to lock them up until their animalistic side calmed down and when that wouldn't work, he unfortunately had to kill them because they would be too far gone to bring back. For the wolves that accepted their vampire mate, most of them would be kicked out of the pack. Vladimir of course welcomed them onto his lands and into his clans without a second thought. "My clans haven't drank from a live host in over a hundred years. I've been alive for centuries and I'm not proud of the things I've done but I am proud of this. We only drink donated blood, it's your choice to believe it or not. All my men and women want to be a better version than what they've been branded with by others. I truly hope you can give my clans and I a chance to prove ourselves." Vladimir ended his speech with high hopes.
"Of course, I'll give your people a chance. If one of your people slip up and you don't punish them to my satisfaction, then don't blame me for my actions. And yes, I know your kind drinks from their mates, it gives them more satisfaction than a normal hunt. But I mean it, Vladimir, I have zero patients when innocent lives are taken." Kane agreed to accepting them but also made sure Vladimir knew that he wasn't to be messed with.
"Oh excellent! Thank you so much for this! My people are so excited for this! Thank you, thank you!" Vladimir was beyond happy.
Theodore one the other hand was not.
