Chapter Thirty-six

"Princess, please!" Kane begged while trailing behind Trixie as she walked up the driveway to her garage.

"Go away, Mr. Kane." Trixie sneered.

Kane just huffed. *Mr. Kane? Hmph!* Goliath was equally annoyed. *This is your fault by the way.*

*I know! I'm trying to fix it! So if you don't have any advice, zip it!* Kane growled back at his beast.

Kane didn't even realize they were at the door until Trixie slammed the door shut on him.

"Baby.. I'm sorry! It'll never happen again! I promise!" Kane whimpered from outside the door.

Theodore and Tatum just remained in the car, watching Kane bend over backwards to apologize. "When Goliath allowed Trixie to come with us, your parents' faces were priceless. It was like they've never seen Goliath be nice or something." Tatum joked while watching Kane grovel.

"That's because no one has. Not even me. I mean, Kane was never hateful or anything like that towards us but Goliath never gave us the time of day. He only appeared during the wars or when it was absolutely necessary. So seeing Goliath like a puppy in love is a big shock for them. They would be shitting themselves if they saw him acting like this." Theodore chuckled.

"Why is Goliath so distant?" Tatum questioned.

"It's just who he is. Kane talked about him all the time. It's not like he was hiding from us. Goliath just didn't feel the need to be around besides with Kane. Those two can go at each others throats but their bond is stronger than anything I've ever seen. Trixie gave Goliath a reason to be around." Theodore answered with a shrug.

"Baby please!" Kane whispered through the door.

It's been silent on the other side of the door for a few minutes which worried Kane and Goliath. "Trixie?"

They stopped and put their ear closer to the door to listen. They could barely hear Trixie mumble. "Kane.." It was followed by a loud thud and that's when Kane kicked the door in and saw Trixie lying on the floor unconscious. Kane scooped Trixie up in his arms and darted out the door, heading straight for the castle.

Theodore and Tatum immediately got out and started chasing them.

"Stop! Kane, what happened? Let me look at her!" Theodore yelled from behind them but Kane didn't stop until he got to the castles hospital.

Kane busted through the hospital wing doors, grabbing the attention of everyone there. Kane strolled past everyone to a private room and demanded for Dr. Lee. Which only took thirty seconds for Dr. Lee to appear.

"Mr. Kane! Whats happened?" Dr. Lee rushed towards Trixie and earned a growl from Theodore. That didn't stop her from checking her vitals.

"I think she fainted, I'm not sure." Kane let out a frustrated sigh while running his hands through his hair.

"Her breathing and heart rate is good, Mr. Kane. I just need to take some blood to run some tests." Dr. Lee stated calmly.

"Fat chance in hell I'll allow you to do such things!" Theodore growled out. "I know what your kind can do with the smallest amount of blood!"

"Just go with her then!" Kane growled at Theodore. Theodore didn't hesitate for a second and hovered over Dr. Lee while she withdrew some of Trixies blood and left to go run some lab work.

*Can we hold her?* Goliath whispered.

Kane didn't waste any time before pulling Trixie under the covers of the hospital bed and snuggled up next to her. "I'm sorry for being such an asshole, princess. It'll never happen again." Kane whispered in her ear.

Terrance, who happened to be on the other end of the hospital wing with Reese and the Red Wood survivors, got wind of Trixies scent and immediately followed her scent to her room.

"Trixie??" Terrance rushed towards the bed but stopped when Goliath let out a warning growl. He wasn't on the surface but he still didn't trust Terrance and wasn't going to let him near her when she was in a state like this.

"What's happened?? Is she okay?" Terrance asked, shifting in his spot, worry written all over his face.

"She fainted." Was all Kane said.

They waited in her room for over an hour and Kane started losing his patiences after five minutes. Theodore wasn't there to keep him calm but holding Trixie was helping. Kanes parents showed up but only because he mindlinked them. It was best for them to show up now instead of finding out later.

Mania was being a worry wart and not even Samuel was calming her down. She yelled at Kane for a solid thirty minutes for treating Trixie that way but softened up when she saw how upset and worried he looked.

The room went quiet and all you could hear was the soft sound of rain starting to hit the window of the room.

"Mr. Kane?" Dr. Lee appeared through the door with Theodore right behind her.

"Well???" Kane whisper yelled.

Dr. Lee took a glance around the room once. "I think it's best if we talk in private, sir."

Kane frowned and went to object but Theodore hurriedly agreed. "Everyone needs to leave." Theodore commanded. Taking everyone by surprise, including Kane. Once everyone was out, Dr. Lee and Theodore turned to Kane with the biggest grins on their faces.

"You never comand people and now you both are creeping me the fuck out with your smiles. What the fuck is going on?" Kane glared at them.

"Brother, please take a look at these test results." Theodore spoke in a whisper and handed him the lab results.

Kane glared at him warily and got out of bed, snatching the papers from him. Kane allowed his eyes to scan over all the different tests that had been done but they stopped on the two little words 'Pregnant: Positive.'

Kane was frozen in his spot, staring at those two little words. He was in complete shock. *Our princess is pregnant?* Goliath questioned in a whispered tone. *We're going to have a pup!!!* Goliath yelled with excitement.

Theodore gently placed his hand on Kanes shoulder. "BB?"

Kane snapped his head towards Theodore. "I'm going to be a daddy..?" Kane whispered.

"Yes." Theodore answered warily, he was expecting a different type of reaction.

Kanes shocked face slowly faded into the biggest grin that Theodore has ever seen. "I'm going to be a dad!!" Kane nearly screamed out while throwing his arms around Theodore for a hug. Theodore couldn't contain his excitement anymore and wrapped Kane in a tight embrace as well while they both laughed.

A small little groan pulled them from their embrace. "Wha.. what's going on? Where am I?" Trixie eyes slowly fluttered open.

"Heeeyy, baby.." Kane gave a small smile. "How are you feeling?"

"My head hurts a little.." Trixie gave a slight glare. "What's going on?"

"Hi, Trixie. My name is Dr. Lee but you can call me Annie. You fainted earlier and so we had to run some tests.." Dr. Lee went to explain but was interrupted with a warning growl from Kane. Dr. Lee lowered her head and took a few steps back.

Kane cleared his throat and turned his attention back to his mate. Trixie just laid there, glaring up at him. Kane gave a bright smile and cuddled up next to Trixie under the blankets. "Baby, I got some wonderful news!" Kane smiled sweetly down at her.

"Oh? Are you done being an asshat?" Trixie sneered causing Theodore to start choking while trying to contain his laughter.

Kane sent a glare towards Theodore before answering her. "Yes. I'm sorry, my love. I just wanted to keep you safe but that is no excuse, I know. I was wrong for doing that but I don't regret making sure you were safe, okay? What I did will never happen again, I swear. I love you so much, please just stop being mad at me.." Kane nuzzled his nose in her hair.

"Hmph!" Trixie pouted, crossing her arms across her chest and turned her head away from Kane.

"Baby.." Kane groaned while placing soft kisses along her neck and shoulder.

Trixie let out a little giggle while hiding her face in her hands. Theodore and Dr. Lee just stood there awkwardly before Theodore cleared his throat. "Kane, the wonderful news?"

Kane slowly lifted his head, his eyes were hazed over while looking over at Theodore.

"You look high as fuck right now." Theodore chuckled.

"Mmm." Was the only reply Kane gave.

"I'm in the hospital, what could be so wonderful about that?" Trixie questioned while trying to sit up straight but Kanes hold on her, wouldn't let her.

"I'll leave you guys to it. I must check on my other patients. I'll send in a nurse in a few with further instructions." Dr. Lee gave a small smile and quietly left the room. Theodore just took a seat on the couch and made himself comfortable.

"What do you think of the name Vincent?" Kane asked no one in particular.

"Isabel is a lovely name as well." Theodore commented.

Trixie just kept glancing back and forth between the two, trying to figure out what they're talking about. "Will you please just spill it?" Trixie asked in a frustrated tone.

"You're pregnant, baby."
