Part Two: Ch. 26

"Sir?"

"What!" A deep, gravelly voice shouted from behind the mahogany stained oak wood doors.

"Your *friend* is here.."

"Send him in." The man let out an agitated sigh.

"Sebastian." Dash chirped while waltzing into the room.

"What do you want?" Sebastian growled out.

Dash waved for Ava to come in. "This is my mate, Ava."

"I don't care." Sebastian sighed.

"Aaaand your way into the kingdom." Dash ended.

Ava gripped onto Dash like her life depended on it.

Sebastians entire mood changed. "How so?" He asked excitedly.

"I'm a pack member of Full Moon, sir.." Ava whispered, her hands shaking.

An evil grin grew on Sebastians' face while he stared at Ava in pure enjoyment. "Dash, you truly outdid yourself this time."

"Do we have a deal then?" Dash asked sternly.

"As long as your little mate here does exactly as I say then absolutely." Sebastian grinned. "You can have whoever you want once we attack, I'm only interested in the girl."

Dash nodded his head but saw the confused look on his mates face. "Sebastian needs an inside man.. You could help us tremendously, baby."

Ava gave a wary look over at Sebastian but agreed with Dash, nonetheless.

"I'll do anything for you.." Ava whispered to him. Dash smiled at her and gave her a soft kiss on the lips.

"Awe, how sweet." Sebastian mocked. "We have shit to plan. Lets go." He growled out while standing. "I never go back on my word, Dash. You and your mate will have my protection after this is all done and over with."

"Thank you." Dash nodded while following after him.

Ava pulled on Dashs' arm. "Are you sure we can trust him?" She barely whispered.

Dash pulled Ava close while cupping her cheeks. "If not, you'll be safe in the kingdom. You will act completely oblivious to whatever the fuck happens. You're innocent through all of this. You were just answering the curious questions of your mate. You will never speak about this. Got it?"

Ava nodded her head, trying to hold back the tears. Dash stared deep into her eyes, feeling something break inside of him.

"I love you." Dash whispered.

"I love you too."

"Thank you for doing this.." Reese whispered while laying his head on Williams' shoulder for a split second as they walked together through the castle.

"I know how much you missed your family and I'm sorry I kept you from them for so long.." William smiled sadly. "I can handle whatever Kane decides to throw my way."

"You know I don't regret following you. I'll follow you wherever you go. Dad and Trixie would have done the same thing if they were in my shoes." Reese stated while kissing Williams' cheek. "Come on, lets get this over with."

"I can't wait to meet Isabella. Vincent and Theo says she's a fucking handful." William chuckled while the two of them made their way through the castle, heading towards their wing.

"I specifically remember Theo saying she was a beautiful deranged monster." Reese snickered.

"I guess we'll see." William chuckled but the chuckle died down when they stood in front of the familiar door. "I change my mind, lets go back." William grabbed Reeses' hand, ready to run.

"Oh, no you don't!" Reese laughed while pulling William back towards the door. Reese didn't give him a chance to try and run again and immediately dragged him through the door. "Trixie?" Reese shouted once he was entering the living room.

"REESE?!" Trixie screamed from the kitchen. Trixie ran into the living room with wide eyes and tears streaming down her face. "Oh my.." Trixie cried and ran into his arms. "I missed you so much!"

"I missed you too.." Reese smiled while engulfing her in his arms.

"Are.. are you here to stay?" Trixie hiccuped in between sobs.

Reese didn't get a chance to respond before Trixie was torn away from his arms and a sinister growl ripped through the air.

Kane had Trixie in his arms while he continuously snarled at William. "Leave!"

"Kane, stop it!" Trixie shouted while trying to push him away but failed miserably. Kane only tightened his grip on her, making Trixie let out a sigh of defeat while she let Kane be his crazy self.

"We're not leaving." Reese snorted. "We just got back home."

"HOME?!" Kane roared.

"Alright, that's enough!" William growled. "You won't take your bullshit out on Reese. He did nothing wrong."

Kane just glared at him. "My bullshit? You mean the bullshit of you leaving me?! Leaving as if we don't mean shit?" Kane growled.

"Leave you?" William laughed. "That's complete bullshit! You don't need me and never did." William scoffed.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Kane snorted.

"I knew the second Jake came back, I would get pushed out but hey, I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt. I thought to myself, no, there is no way Kane would just cast me aside like I didn't mean shit." William spoke. "That's what you did, you were slowly pushing me aside."

"I don't understand." Kane frowned.

"I heard what you said to Jake that day on the field.." William confessed.

Kanes' eyes widened slightly. "I didn't.."

"*I always knew William would disappoint me some day. Honestly, I should have offered you back your title years ago.*" William repeated the exact same words Kane said five years ago without missing a beat. "All because I was late for the first time *ever.*"

Kane stood there speechless while Trixie frowned up at him. "Is that true?" Kane looked down at her with guilt swimming in his eyes.

"Want to know why I was late?" William asked but wasn't really looking for an answer. "I'll tell you. Reese and I woke up that morning and said 'fuck it!" Lets run to the courthouse and just get hitched. I figured being late for one day would be okay because our family would be so happy for us." William smiled over at Reese but slowly turned his attention back towards Kane with a blank expression. "So I just decided to get out of your hair completely. Why would I stick around somewhere that I'm clearly not wanted, so.."

"William, I'm.." Kane interrupted.

"It doesn't matter." William stopped him. "I don't care anymore. I'm only here for Reese and whatever family I have left." William explained. "Don't worry, Kane. I'm not here for my title or anything else. I won't be a disappointment for you to worry about."

Kane stood there, not having any words to say until Trixie tried to punch him in his chest which Kane didn't even flinch as he stared down at her. "I missed five years of my brothers life because of you! Vincent didn't get to be around his uncles and Isabella doesn't even know who they are!" Trixie screamed at him.

"Baby, I'm sorry.. I.." Kane started to apologize.

"I'm so disappointed in you.." Trixie whispered with tears streaming down her face before running off towards their bedroom.

Kanes' entire body deflated. Kane didn't even look back at William and Reese before chasing after Trixie.

"I didn't want that to happen.." William felt guilty. "I just wanted Kane to know I knew and that I didn't need him."

Reese just smiled sadly at him while rubbing his shoulder in a comforting way. "They'll be okay.. Come on, I'm tired from our flight.. Lets go lay down."

William just nodded before grabbing their bags and headed towards where they left their old rooms behind.

"I'm surprised it's clean.." Reese chuckled lightly. "I was expecting dust or something."

"Please, Trixie and Tatum would both die before they let dust collect in their house." William joked but still had a somber tone to his voice.

"Did you tell Theodore that we were coming home?" Reese asked, hoping to switch the moods around.

"Oh, no. I didn't tell him or Vin. I wanted to surprise them!" William smiled. "They'll be so excited!"

"Someone is definitely going to be crying." Reese chuckled.

"Oh yeah, sure. Theo crying? Please, he only cried when he thought he messed up with Tatum when they first met and I'm sure Vincent is a brute just like his father." William laughed lightly.

"Do you think he found his mate? Or any of the boys find their mates?" Reese questioned. "It feels like forever since I've seen those boys."

"Five years is a loooooong time.. I'm sure we will have A LOT to catch up on." William said while letting himself fall onto the bed. "Lets nap."

"That is the best idea I've ever heard." Reese chuckled while climbing in next to William.

*Xander: the last known lightening phoenix who kidnapped Trixie with the idea of breeding with her.
*Macy: Kol and Lucys daughter, KJs younger sister.
*Dave: KJs cousin.
*Dash: Jakes "second" chance mate. They met each other right after he got stabbed while trying to stop Trixie and Reese from getting taken by Xander and his men. Ava is a new character, mated to Dash.
*Dr. Lee aka Annie: the castle doctor, the elf. She helped warn Kane about Trixie shifting into her phoenix.
*Noah: the warlock who bought/rescued Terrance after being taken during the rogue attack that left Trixie an orphan.
*Sebastian: the new bad guy, he destroyed the Dragon Empire and now wants Isabella.
