Chapter Fifty-three

***---- (2 years later) ----***

Two high pitched squeals and the pitter-patter of little feet running around echoed throughout the little cottage.

"You are all monsters!" Jake shouted, pulling his hair, irritated beyond all limits. "Babe! I need help in here!"

"I still don't understand how the girls convinced you to 'volunteer' us for babysitting all three of them" Terrance chuckled while coming back inside with a muddy Vincent, squealing.

"Trixie said it would be good for us! Too have hands-on experience for when the adoption goes through but I didn't expect this! She trapped us!" Jake let out a frustrated sigh.

"She trapped you! Not me!" Terrance laughed while heading towards the bathroom with a now squirming Vincent.

"No drampa! No baf! I be dood!" Vincent cried, trying his best to get loose, not at all liking baths.

"Vin baby, do you want mama to catch you like this?" Terrance asked while turning on the water. Vincent just shook his head and finally stopped squirming around. "It will be fast, I promise, baby." Terrance reassured.

As promised, Vincent was in and out of the bath within five minutes. Terrance never saw a child runaway so fast. When he came back into the living room, he saw that Jake finally had the other two, KJ and Todd, sitting down and watching cartoons with their sippy cups and blankets. Vincent, joining them with his own, of course.

"It's movie / until-they-fall-asleep, nap time!" Jake said a little too enthusiastically. "And then by the time these monsters wake up, their mothers will be here!" Jake grinned.

Terrance just laughed. He walked over and wrapped his arms around Jake, pulling him close. "I can't wait for us to have our own but I can *NOT* imagine having three little ones running around like these three here."

"The castle is probably in shambles." Jake joked. He slowly turned around to face Terrance, his face turning serious. "Do you think we'll get Emily?"

"Of course we will." Terrance placed a soft kiss on Jakes lips.

Jake wrapped his arms around Terrance, holding him tight. "I hope so."

"Oh my Goddess! No!" Lucy squealed. "Our mates would kill us!"

"Oh stop being a baby! They won't find out. They're nowhere near us!" Evy reassured, confidently.

"I don't think so.. I mean.. Kane wouldn't like this at all.." Trixie chimed in, avoiding looking at the three men dressed in white boxers only.

"Guys, come on! It's only massages!" Evy whined. "We're on the other side of the territory!"

"It literally takes Kane one second to be anywhere he wants. The second one of those men touch me, he'll be here, mark my words, he'll be here!" Trixie warned.

"Kol would be so jealous.. a couple of wolves with their hands all over.." Lucy started grinning while slowly rubbing her tiny baby bump. "Let's do it!"

"Nope! Not me! Count me out!.." Trixie stated.

Trixie managed to trick Jake into taking their kids for the day. Trixie, Evy and Lucy definitely needed a girls' day for themselves but Trixie wasn't planning on Evy to get a couple of male masseuses!

"Don't be such a downer!" Evy chirped.

"Call it what you will." Trixie shrugged. "I'm going to sit here and enjoy my wine and snacks." Trixie sat back and relaxed more into her seat.

"William, did you look over the paper.." Kanes attention was grabbed by Theodore, Kane just stared blankly at him. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing!" Theodore immediately responded by jerking his hands behind his back.

"What is that!" William exclaimed.

"Nothing!" Theodore defended.

"Show me!" Kane laughed while getting up and walking towards Theodore.

"What are you doing!" Theodore jerked up from his desk, backing away from him.

"We just want to see what you have!" William joked. "You're acting like a deer caught in headlights!"

"It looks like a gift or a present of the sorts!" Kane beamed. "Did you get us a gift, baby brother?" Kane teased.

"Just stop it you two! I'll tell you if you two just back off, okay?" Theodore spoke with a defeated sigh.

Kane and William both took this as an acceptable answer and went back to their seats, waiting for Theodore to reveal the big secret.

"I know our kind isn't much for this because of the whole mate thing and the bond is pretty much a marriage itself but.." Theodore held up the little white velvet box. "I'm going to ask Tatum to marry me." Theodore blushed.

"Holy shit.." William whispered.

"Do you think he'll like it?" Theodore asked with a hint of worry. He gently opened the little box, revealing a white gold band with a few small blue sapphire stones in the band. "Sapphire is his favorite and well my scales are blue and he claims blue is his favorite color plus our eyes are blue so I figured blue sapphire.. these small engravings represent my scales.." Theodore started to ramble but Kane stopped him.

"Theo!" Kane raised his voice a bit. "He'll love it.. relax." He gave a reassuring smile. Theodore couldn't contain his smile even if he tried.

"When do you plan on doing it?" William asked.

"Well because it took so long for the custom design and stuff and I had to send it back because they forgot the engraving, '*I love you, forever*' on the inside, it's past our two year anniversary so I plan on doing it on his birthday next week.." Theodore explained. "Or should I choose a different time?"

"Theo, do whatever your heart and soul tell you. If they say do it on his birthday, then do it. Don't second guess anything, just do it." Kane gave him a stern look and William nodded in agreement.

"Okay, okay! I'll chill out.. I'll take a breather.." Theodore chuckled but was quick to change the subject. "So.. how did dinner go last night?" Theodore directed his question towards William.

"Tense.." William said with a heavy sigh.

"Still?" Theodore had a frown placed on his face. "It's been two years now.."

"Theo, we both know who Jake is and how well he can hold a grudge.. two years is nothing compared to how long it could actually be." Kane let out a soft chuckle.

Two years ago when Jake and William got into their fight, the next morning Kane was told about the whole spiel and was not happy about it at all. Even though Goliath wanted Williams head on a silver platter, Kane couldn't allow that so Goliath had to settle for a 'good talking' too. He made Jake and William both talk it out which just ended with Jake threatening William all over again. William eventually apologized for being a prick, mainly because he saw how it was effecting Reese. Having his father and mate at odd ends was not settling well with him. So now the four of them have a weekly dinner schedule to work on whatever their differences and issues are. Naturally Terrance agreed and he had to convince Jake to agree as well. They all agreed that they need to have a united front, they needed to get along for all of their friends and family and for the future little ones as well.

"It's not as bad as it was when we first started. Jake never spoke to me at first. He still doesn't look at me but he does mumble some words here and there now so that's a huge step forward." William gave a small smile. "I'm working on fixing my mistake."

"Good because I won't raise Vincent in any type of negative environment." Kane stated with a hint of warning in his tone.

"Only the best for my little chipmunk." Theodore chimed in.

Kane just rolled his eyes but you could see the smile playing at his lips.

"Where's Vince, baby?" Kane nearly purred in Trixies ear when he joined her in the shower, wrapping his arms around her soapy waist.

"I put him down for the night. You saw how well he ate his dinner, he should be in a food coma for the night." Trixie chuckled. She turned around with her loofah in her hand and squirted some of Kanes soap on it and started to wash his front half. "How did your 'emergency' meeting go?"

Kane just growled. "It wasn't a fucking emergency. Gabriel annoys the shit out of me with how serious he is all the time when it comes to the kingdom. I don't give a shit that Max and Mary are having their Alpha and Luna ceremony." Kane let out a heavy sigh.

"It's okay.. Gabriel just really cares about his kingdom and everyone in it." Trixie smiled while stepping behind Kane to wash his back.

"I do as well but he could have just sent a text or email with that information." Kane argued.

"Mmmhmm." Trixie hummed while running her hands up and down his shoulders and arms.

"Are you trying to seduce me, future Mrs. Hell?" Kane smirked while turning his head slightly to look back at her.

"Is it working, Mr. Hell?" Trixie replied in a teasing tone.

"Always, baby." Kane spun around, pinning Trixie up against the shower wall.

A surprised gasp left Trixies mouth which turned into small giggles. Kane had her pinned up against the wall with her legs wrapped around his waist. The tip of his nose was gently brushing hers, they were both just starting into each others eyes. Before Kane could make another move, a little voice interrupted them.

"Daddy.. Mama.." Vincent was standing there in front of the shower, rubbing his sleepy eyes.

Trixie hurriedly wrapped a towel around her body and scooped up Vincent, taking him into their room while Kane finished his shower.

*Cock block.* Goliath scowled.

*Goliath! That's our pup!* Kane tried to hold back his chuckle.

*He's still a cock block.. doesn't mean I don't love him any less.* Goliath huffed.

Kane just shook his head with a small laugh. *Okay, crazy.*

Kane finished up in the shower and when he walked back into the room, he saw Trixe and Vincent all snuggled up underneath the covers. Vincent was already asleep while Trixie gently traced his little face with her fingers.

"I'll never get tired of this view.. never." Kane whispered while climbing in behind Trixie, wrapping an arm over around her waist.

Trixie just smiled, thinking about something. "So tell me, when *The Eternal King* came to earth, did you find what you were looking for?"

"I did. I found everything I needed and more." Kane smiled. "And now we get to watch our little eternal prince grow up and find what he needs."

"I love you so much." Trixie gave him her softest smile.

"And I love you."
