Chapter Fifty-one

"Look who I stole..." Jake smiled while cooing the little prince, making his way over to his bed where Terrance was sitting.

"Give him here!" Terrance pouted while making a grabbing motion with his hands. "Kane never lets me have my grandbaby all to myself." Terrance frowned while placing Vincent on the bed in front of him.

"It's not Kane, it's Goliath. He doesn't trust you completely because you keep your mind closed off." Jake gave a sympathetic smile.

"My past, my mind is no ones business." Terrance stated. "You're the only one who knows all my secrets.. I don't want to keep anything from you. Trixie shouldn't know all of the terrible things I've done or well had to do to survive out there."

"I know.. you don't have to explain anything to me. Goliath will come around eventually. Trixie is the only person he's ever trusted without hesitation. Everyone else had to earn his trust. Just keep proving to him that you're not a threat or a danger and he'll mellow out." Jake reassured him. "He's just an extremely tough fucking cookie to crack." He teased, making Terrance chuckle.

Vincent made a little gurgling sound, kicking his little feet in the air, catching both of their attention. "Yes, your daddy is a tough fucking cookie, huh?" Jake cooed, earning a wide grin and little squeal from Vincent. "Your daddy is just so crazy, isn't that right?" Jake again cooed. Vincent was kicking his little feet and swinging his arms around while babbling on and on.

"I can't believe he's already three months old.." Terrance whispered with the brightest smile.

"Yeah and he looks just like Kane. It's crazy... poor kid." Jake joked, making them both laugh. "At least he has yours and Trixies eyes. Them bright green eyes.. he's going to have boys and girls falling at his feet."

Terrance just grinned and leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on Jakes lips. "Thank you" Terrance whispered.

"For what?" Jake chuckled. "Being dashingly handsome or hilariously funny?" Jake questioned. "Well they both come naturally so thank the Gods and Goddesses above for that." Jake teased.

Terrance just rolled his eyes, trying to keep his smile held back. "For being patient with me. I know not marking each other is hard, for not only you but me as well. I just needed to make sure that.." Before Terrance could continue, Jake hushed him with a soft kiss.

"Babe, you don't have to explain anything to me. I needed time to heal from what Dash did to me and to make sure this was really it." Jake smiled. "You had a life with your first mate, Tracie. That's not something you can ever move on from and I don't want you too. Tracie will always be a part of your life and Trixie is living proof of that. Mating is one thing but marking is a whole nother ball game. I don't question your motives or your love." Jake ran his hand through Terrances hair and gave him another soft kiss.

"I do want to mark you.. I'm going to mark you.." Terrance paused for a second. "I want you to mark me as well." Terrance averted his eyes to his grandson, Vincent was just staring at them, almost as if he knew exactly what they were saying and was patiently waiting for the end result.

"But?" Jake replied.

"But what?" Terrance asked, confused.

"But you don't want Tracie's mark to disapear? You're scared that if I mark you, the only thing left of your bond will disappear?" Jake questioned.

Terrances eyes shot open, shock written all over his face. "How did you know that? I never told you that.."

Jake just chuckled. "I just guessed, babe." Jake shrugged. "I talked to Mania and Dr. Lee.."

"Annie." Terrance corrected him. "She's Trixies friend now so you don't have to call her doctor anymore." Terrance gave a light chuckle.

"Whatever." Jake rolled his eyes. "Anyways, I talked to them both and they said as long as I don't mark over Tracie's mark, it shouldn't disappear.. ever." Jake smiled brightly. "I would never want to take that away from you. Tracie was and is still so important to not only you but to Trixie. I would never want to try and replace or take away any memories of her."

"I fucking love you." Terrance just stared at him. Jake could see all the emotions running through his eyes.

"And I fucking love you." Jake grinned.

Vincent made a gurgling squeel and started kicking his feet again.

"He can't hear us, right? Because I don't think Trixie would be happy if his first word is fuck." Terrance laughed.

Jake just chuckled. "Nah. I think one of his abilities is being able to feel others emotions and he feeds off of that. He can feel how much I love you and how much you love me and it's just making him so happy." Jake smiled and leaned down to place a little kiss on Vincents head. "You're just so happy. Happy baby!" Jake cooed while gently clapping Vincents hands together.

Terrance just stared at them in awe. "Let's have a baby." He spoke out loud.

Jake choked on the words he was cooing to Vincent and looked at Terrance like he grew two extra heads. "What!"

"Let's make a baby." Terrance stated.

"Terrance, I know two sticks can make a fire and trust me we definitely have fire.." Jake frowned. "But basic human anatomy doesn't allow two sticks to make a baby.."

"First, stop calling my dick a stick. We both know it's a log." Terrance purred while pulling Jake closer, making his entire face turn a dark crimson color.

"S-s-stop it." Jake stuttered. "Vin-Vincent is h-here!"

"I'm not doing anything." Terrance chuckled while picking up Vincent and laying down on the bed with him placed on his chest, his little feet and arms never once stopping from kicking and waving around. Joyful little gurgles and babbles echoing in the room.

Jake laid down next to Terrance, snuggling up to him while his free hand played with Vincent. "How do we have a baby?" Jake asked, not once taking his eyes off Vincent.

"Well we talk to Trixie and ask for one of her eggs.." Terrance whispered.

Jake jerked his head up, eyes wide as saucers. "Wait.. like put a baby in her or she can lay fucking eggs??" He whispered, yelled.

"Trixie can lay an egg. She's a phoenix, a bird." Terrance chuckled.

"Don't eggs have to be fertilized for it to... you know.. exit her body.." Jake blushed.

"For her to lay an egg, you mean?" Terrance laughed. "You're adorable and no. We may have to follow basic human anatomy but only to a point. From what Noah has told me, when a female phoenix goes into heat, she lays an unfertilized egg, similar to chickens. Now, that egg will only have phoenix DNA to it. Trixies DNA won't be passed to it. It's weird but it's what I was told. Anyways, if the egg doesn't get fertilized within three days or so, it'll just rot, waste away. Now, if Kane manages to impregnate Trixie during her heat cycle, before she lays the egg, it'll be fertilized with her and Kanes DNA, it'll take about six months before the egg hatches but with Kanes DNA.. it could be sooner.." Terrance tried to explain.

"Okay.. so we beg Kane not to have sex with his mate while she's in heat... so we can have one of her eggs.." Jake started laughing. "Oh Goddess, you're crazy. Might as well throw a steak to a dog and tell him not to eat it." Jake sat up, still laughing.

Terrance stayed laying on the bed, unbothered by Jakes outburst. "It's not up to Kane, now is it?" Terrance said.

"What?" Jake raised an eyebrow, questioning him.

"Listen, I know you love Kane and all that jazz but it's Trixies body. Kane doesn't have control over what my daughter wants to do. If Trixie wants to help her father and her friend start a family, do you really think Kane is going to stop her?" Terrance asked back while gently cooing Vincent who was still laying on his chest.

Jake just stared at him for the longest time before letting out a heavy sigh. "Kane won't like this but you're right. It's not up to him."

Terrance just smiled. "So we ask her after dinner?"

Jake smiled and nodded his head in return. "After dinner."

~ ~ ~

"Okay." Kane replied coolly.

"WHAT!" Jake screeched.

"Hey! I just put Vincent to sleep! If he wakes up, you're taking him for the rest of the night!" Trixie growled lowly.

After dinner, everyone sat in the living room to watch some movies. Trixie finally got Vincent down for the night and that's when Terrance decided to bring up the big question. After explaining everything to Trixie and Kane, of course, he was surprised that Kane agreed so easily.

"I said okay, Jake. Of course it's up to my baby, it's her egg." Kane smiled down at Trixie who seemed to be in a deep thought. "Jake, I know how I can be with Trixie and I'm sure you understand, mates and all but if we can help in any way, shape or form, I want to do that. You deserve to start a family just as much as any other couple, who am I to stand in the way of that?"

Jake let out a heavy breath that he didn't even realize he was holding. "Thank you."

"Trixie..?" Terrance gently spoke.

"I want Noah to come here and tell me all about what I am. Every little detail there is about being a phoenix." Trixie stated.

"Done." Terrance agreed.

"So I'm just going to pop a giant egg out of my vagina?" Trixie asked, making Jake and Kane raise an eyebrow at Terrance.

Terrance just chuckled. "No! You'll shift into your phoenix and lay the egg that way."

"Do I get to help name the baby?" Trixie asked.

Jake and Terrance looked at each other and grinned. "Of course! How could I not let my baby girl help name her new baby brother or sister?" Terrance smiled.

"And how could I not help my father and friend start a family?" Trixie smiled softly.
