Part Two: Ch. 35

Ever get that feeling that someone is watching you while you sleep? Well that's exactly what I'm feeling so I snapped my eyes open and scanned my room, only to be met with my dads' piercing gaze. "Why are you being such a creeper?" Vincent chuckled in a sleepy voice. Kane didn't say anything but kept staring at him causing Vincent to frown. Vincent went to get up but stopped short when he felt something heavy laying all across his body. Vincent looked down and saw Lennons' grey curls with half his body sprawled out across his.

"I wake up with your mother like that all the time and vice versa.." Kane whispered. "It's one of the best damn feelings ever."

"You're here.. just to tell me that?" Vincent frowned, laying back down, making sure Lennon was still comfy.

"No.." Kane shook his head while letting out a heavy sigh. "I came here to tell you that Sebastian has been taken care of."

"What!" Vincent shouted, making Lennon jerk up with panic lacing his face. "Hey, hey. It's okay." Vincent cooed while pulling Lennon back into his chest while rubbing his shoulders and back. Lennon let him while snuggling back into his chest.

Kane waited until he heard Lennons' breathing and heart rate slow down before speaking softly. "I just wanted you to know."

"Well what the hell happened?!" Vincent whispered, yelled. "Wait, what time is it?"

"Five-something." Kane shrugged while rubbing his tired eyes. "I'm going to get some sleep for a few hours.. We will be meeting up after breakfast to talk about it, okay."

"Then why wake me up!" Vincent growled, frustrated.

"I didn't plan on you waking up." Kane sighed. "I just needed to check on you. I do this often, Vin."

"You're such a weirdo." Vincent chuckled.

"You're my boy. Watching you sleep gives Goliath and I peace." Kane confessed.

"Dad.." Vincents' features softening.

"You just mean so much to me." Kane shrugged while clearing his throat. "Aside from your mother, you were my first love, Vincent. You mean more to me than you'll ever understand."

"I know, Dad.." Vincent gave him a soft smile.

Kane just returned his smile while awkwardly scratching the back of his head. "Get some sleep, baby."

"So you literally just waltz into his camp like it was nothing?" Vincent asked in outrage. "You could have been killed!"

Vlad just scoffed. "I would like to see someone try."

Kane just chuckled while shaking his head. "Anyways.."

"What! No! No anyways!" Vincent shouted with annoyance. "This is not something I just want swept under the rug!"

"Vincent, I just did what your father would have done." Vlad stood up and made his way over to Vincent and gently placed his hands on his shoulders. "I wouldn't have walked into that camp if I thought my plan was anything less than perfect and I couldn't have my entire family be in any danger." Vlad let out a heavy sigh. "I know I'm not really family.. I'm not even Tatums' real father but.."

"You are family!" Vincent immediately argued back. "And if Tatum heard you say that, it would break him. You're his everything."

Vlad just smiled softly at Vincent before gently squeezing his shoulders. "Okay, okay.."

"So where is everyone else?" Vincent asked after clearing his throat and sitting back down next to Lennon.

"Well Theo and Tatum are at the hospital with Dorothy, Octavia and the girls." Kane answered. "Issy is with your mom and grandpa."

"So um why do I have to be here.." Lennon whispered.

"Well your stupid mother is with your worthless, jackass grandfather pretending to live in some happy fucking lala-land." Xander snapped, angrily. Lennon just frowned while lowering his gaze.

"Hey, I have a crazy idea, Xander." Vincent spoke up. "How about you keep your fucking mouth shut or I'll kick your ass." Lennon quickly started rubbing Vincents' arm, trying to help him relax.

"No." Xander scowled. "Lily can act like a dumbass but I won't let our father anywhere near Lennon or Noah and you shouldn't either. Not if you truly care about Lennon."

Vincent just frowned while glancing over at Kane. Kane was rubbing his temple with an annoyed look on his face. "We get it, Xander. You hate your father and Noah.. very clearly." Kane sighed.

"Wait, don't tell me you trust Noah?" Xander squawked in outrage.

Kane threw his head back with an annoyed sigh. "Noah has never even met Trixie. He helped track her a very long time ago when *you* kidnapped her. So why the fuck would he meet my pups?"

"Alright, everyone needs to chill out." Gabriel piped up. "Noah, isn't sticking around. He thought he was going to be staying and helping Xavier recover but I made it very clear that he wasn't staying and that Xavier would be in good hands."

"He's okay with that? Just like that?" Xander laughed. "Noah has a fixed fascination with our kind.."

"He doesn't have a choice." Kane interrupted. "Plus Xavier told Noah that he wasn't going to be leaving this time and that he'll be fine." Kane shrugged.

"So Noah is gone?" Xander questioned.

"He leaves tonight actually." Gabriel confirmed. "I can't have a warlock who's an expert in black magic wandering around the territory."

"Our people are already extremely upset about it." Kane chimed in. "They come first."

Xander just smiled while leaning back in his seat. "Good because I would literally kill.."

Xander was interrupted by Vincent letting out an intense hiss while clutching the sides of his head. Lennon immediately wrapped his arms around Vincent with worry written all over his face.

"Vin, what's wrong?" Kane was immediately by his side and was cupping his cheeks. "Open your eyes, Vincent." Kane commanded but Vincent just shook his head while clutching his eyes shut. Kane gently pried one of his eyes open and let out a soft curse. "Everyone out, now!!" Kane growled.

"What's wrong with him?" Lennon cried out. Kane didn't get to answer him because Vincent let out a loud scream while his back arched and his wings sprouted out. Vincents' eyes turned a solid fiery red when he opened them and started snarling and snapping at Kane.

"Holy shit.." Xander whispered. Kane whipped his head around and saw that Xander was the only one remaining in the room, aside from Lennon. "He's a.."

"Yes. Now help me hold him down!" Kane yelled.

Xander rushed over while grabbing a hold of Vincent and helped flip him onto his back, holding his arm down. "This is fucking crazy!" Xander shouted over Vincents' growl-ish snarls.

"Dammit!" Kane roared. "I can't link Theo. Lennon, I need you to go find Theo in the hospital, tell him I need Vincents' sedative." Kane instructed while straddling Vincents' stomach and pinning both of his hands underneath his knees, while holding his shoulders down with both his hands.

"I can't leave him!" Lennon cried while trying to get closer to Vincent but Xander quickly stood up and held him back.

Vincents' entire body stopped moving while his head slowly turned while his vision zeroed in on Xanders' hands touching Lennon. "You dare touch him!" Vincent let out a nasty snarl while he started struggling against Kanes' hold.

"Seriously?! I'm his uncle for crying out loud!" Xander growled back at him which only seemed to piss Vincent off even more.

Vincent managed to free one arm and rolled over onto his stomach. Kane let out a small curse when Vincents' wings smacked the shit out of him causing him to lose balance. Vincent was quick on his feet, eyes trained on Xander but only took one step before Lennon crashed his body into his, tightly wrapping his arms around Vincents' waist. Vincent completely froze while his arms wrapped around Lennon.

"Are you okay?" Lennon whimpered out while rubbing his face in Vincents' chest. Lennon lifted his head and gasped when he saw Vincents' red eyes. "Woah.." Lennon whispered while his hand lifted to Vincents' face and gently started caressing his cheek. "What happened to your white eyes?" Vincent just stared down at Lennon while a small smile spread across his face. Vincent leaned his head down and buried his face into his neck, inhaling his scent. Lennon was gently rubbing his back when Vincents' entire body slumped. "Vinny!" Lennon cried out while Kane quickly stepped forward and grabbed his body before he hit the floor. "What's happening??" Lennon cried.

"It's okay.." Kane reassured. "He's just passed out. Help me get him to bed, okay?" Lennon nodded his head while tears streamed down his face.

"Here.." Xander quickly stepped forward and wrapped one of Vincents' arms over his shoulders and helped carry Vincent to his room.

"Is he going to be okay?" Lennon whispered while tucking Vincent into his blankets.

"Of course. He'll wake back up in a few." Kane responded while heading towards the bedroom door that Xander just exited out of. "Vincent can explain everything to you once he wakes up."

Kane walked into his living room while rubbing a hand through his hair. He stopped walking once he heard Xanders' voice. "I'm guessing no one knows." Xander spoke, softly.

"Just our family." Kane answered. "I would like it to stay that way."

"Of course, Kane." Xander scowled. "I've done some shitty things in my life but I'm honestly trying to be a better man. I have to be.. for Macy."

"I appreciate it."
