Chapter Thirty-nine

Jolting awake, William instinctively reached for his neck. William made his way over to his mirror, he could see where Reeses canines sunk into his skin, leaving behind a black scar-like mark.

"Holy shit, that really happened." William thought out loud. He was so engrossed in his own thoughts, he didn't even hear the bedroom door open.

"Did you not want me to mark you?" Reeses voice startled William, making him jump a little.

"I didn't say that." William frowned.

"Good." Reese raised his nose in the air. "I made lunch." Reese brought the tray of food to the bed and sat down.

"Um.. what happened last night? I mean after you.. um.. marked me?" William rubbed the back of his neck nervously while his cheeks tinted pink.

"You passed out so I had dad and your friend, Jake, help carry you to our room. That was about 2 hours ago." Reese shrugged while leaning back on the bed.

"Our room? This is my room." William narrowed his eyes at Reese.

"It was your room. It's now *our* room." Reese replied nonchalantly.

"I don't think so." William argued. "We don't know a thing about each other and you're already moving yourself in, no."

"You don't really have a choice, babe." Reese stated while standing up, making himself eye level with William.

"First of all, you aren't going to come in here and act like you own me. That's not how this is going to work." William growled through gritted teeth.

"William, I'm not a full blood omega, my father had alpha blood so to say I'm dominant is a bit of an understatement. So keep up this attitude of yours." Reese took a step closer to him.

"Ohhh, big and scary! I'm the captain of Kanes elite warriors. You have no idea how dominat I can be. So back off, Reese." William warned.

Reese kept his eyes locked with William. Reese made his way closer to him until their noses were just inches a part. "I'm going to fuck you into submission, you know that baby?" Reeses deep, husky voice vibrated in Williams' ears.

William just scoffed. "Good luck with th.. wait what?" Williams' eyes widened.

Before Reese could say or do anything, a loud knock resonated from the bedroom door, earning a growl from Reese. He sent a glare towards William.

"Don't look at me like that. It's not for me. People don't bother me when I'm in my room." William gently pushed Reese away and made his way over to the tray of food.

"Whatever." Reese mumbled while making his way towards the door. "What!" Reese growled when he opened the door.

"I'm just checking on William." Jake scoffed while pushing his way through.

"You don't need to check on *MY* mate." Reese growled out. *"People don't bother me when I'm in my room."* Reese mocked.

"Relax. I'm straight." Jake rolled his eyes. "Plus William wouldn't be my type, he's too tan."

"Wait, too tan?" William scoffed. "What the fuck do you mean?"

"You're too tan. I prefer creamy, pale-ish skin, kinda like Trix.." Jake stopped abruptly stopped and his eyes went wide. "Wait.."

"I'm telling Kane!" William yelled while darting to the door.

"That didn't come out right! Wait!" Jake yelled while chasing after William.

William saw Kane walking through the door and tried to make his way towards him. "Kane!"

"STOP!" Jake yelled while tackling William to the ground. "I'll cook you and Reese breakfast for a week."

Goliath stopped to turn and look at his idiot friends. "What's going on here?"

William and Jake both heard the deep sinister voice, making them both freeze.

"Goliath?" William spoke up.

"What?" Goliath raised an eyebrow.

"I'll cook you both breakfast for a month.." Jake whispered. He could easily convince Kane of the misunderstanding but Goliath won't hesitate a second before eating him alive.

"I asked what's going on!" Goliath boomed.

"Nothing, we're just joking around." William whispered while both men kept their eyes on the floor.

Goliath glared at both of them before scoffing. "Children!" Goliath left for his room.

"Are you going to get off my mate now or what?" Reeses' agitated voice boomed from behind them.

Jake just rolled his eyes and got up. "Your mate is crazy."

William just looked up at Reese and smiled shyly, making Reese return it.

"Lunch now?" Reese reached his hand out towards him.

"Of course."

"Princess?" Goliath called out for Trixie when he entered the room.

"Don't come in here!" Trixie yelled from the bathroom.

*I'm going in there.* Goliath smirked.

*Do it.* Kane chuckled.

Goliath made his way to the bathroom door and opened it with a big bang causing Trixie to scream.

"Get out!" Trixie yelled.

The site before him caused Goliath to let out a low growl. "Baby.. what are you doing?" Goliath spoke through clenched teeth.

"What does it look like! Leave!" Trixie whined.

"You're naked.. with your legs spread wide.. were you waiting for daddy?" Goliath started to take a few steps towards her.

"Stop right there mister!" Trixie pointed her hand towards him. "I'm shaving! Go away, please!" She whined again.

"Mmm, baby.. shaving for me?" Goliath purred. "I don't mind my kitten with a little fur.. I'd eat you up no matter what. "

Trixies face turned beet red. "G-g-go a-a-aw-ay!" She managed to stutter out.

Goliath just chuckled. "Okay, princess. We still have things to discuss and I did promise you." Goliath gave a gentle smile. "Finish up here and I'll go grab us some lunch." He placed a gentle peck on her cheek before leaving the bathroom.

Trixie slightly glared at the door Goliath retreated from. "I'll get you back, I'll get you real good." She whispered. Trixie had the perfect plan, now to find the perfect moment.

When Trixie exited the bathroom Goliath was already sitting on their bed with two plates full of chicken nuggets and waffle sticks and another plate full of different berries mixed with Trixies signature side of lemon juice and sour cream.

A little squeal left Trixies lips before running over to the bed, jumping on Goliath. "My favorite!" Trixie squealed again.

"I'll never understand your desire for berries and sour cream." Goliath chuckled.

"You don't have to, just accept it." Trixie giggled while giving Goliath a soft kiss on his lips. "Now! Lunch time!" Trixie said while rubbing her hands together.

"Okay while we eat, I'll explain some things to you." Goliath started.

"What things?" Trixie mumbled through a mouthful of waffles, earning a hearty chuckle from Goliath.

"I won't beat around the bush on this. Okay, anyways I never got to explain the changes that'll happen to you now that we've marked you. I mean I didn't really get the chance to do so with everything that has happened right after that. Anyways, baby, it's no secret that I'm a very powerful man or demon, whatever. There's just no limit to what Kane and I can do, we may never even have to use our full potential and I honestly hope we never have too. But since you're my mate and now that we marked you, you'll start to develop your own powers. Most commonly among demons is that their mates always develop an ability like or similar to their primary one. For example, I read minds and so you might be able to hack into some minds or develop some sort of mindlike ability. I've never shown you this but I can move shit around with my mind but not just objects, I can easily throw some across Priest Lake without moving a single muscle. I can't say mind reading is my primary power, I have multiple but my mind powers and fire powers are my most used ones. You already have a flame so your fire powers will be all yours." Goliath gave a big and supportive smile. "I just wanted you to know so you don't freak out if you accidentally throw the couch across the room." Goliath chuckled.

Trixie just stared at him with pure shock. She had no idea she would gain powers from just being mated to them. "That's absolutely crazy! I can't even take care of myself! How the hell am I supposed to manage powers like that!? I'm an emotional mess without them!" Trixie screeched out while shaking her head.

"Hey, baby.." Goliath went to comfort her but Trixie pulled away.

"No, no. I'm not worthy of any powers. I'm not even worthy of being a phoenix! I'm too weak for this, all of this. I'll just disappoint you and everyone else." Trixie went to get off the bed but Goliath snatched her up before she could run away.

"Listen to me." Goliath wrapped one arm securely around her waist while the other caressed her cheek. "You are worthy of everything good in the world. You deserved so much more than what life has given you in the past and Kane and I are going to make sure of that. We will never, *could* never be dissapointed in you no matter what. You have to stop doubting yourself, you are so much more than what you are giving yourself credit for. You're a badass bitch and need to own that shit! You're a fucking star, baby and you light up my extremely dark world. As for disappointing everyone.. fuck them, they don't mean shit. The only persons opinion that matters is yours and I'm right here to make sure you keep the right mindset baby. Kane and I will always be here and we will be here to help you with your powers when they come in." Goliath ended his speech with a hungry kiss filled with passion.

Trixie finally managed to look up at Goliath and just stared at him. "You promise? You mean all of what you just said?" You could hear the doubt in her voice.

"I meant every damn word, my love."
