Chapter Forty-five
The entire ground shook with every step Kane and Goliath took. Their black fire spread like wildfire, turning everything it touched into ash the second it made contact. Rogues were being thrown left and right while some were being burnt to complete ash. Most of Xanders men tucked tail and ran.
After realizing most of their enemies were down or ran, Goliath backed off, giving Kane full control. Kane made his way towards the house, Theodore ordered their men to set up a perimeter around it. He made sure all their sides were covered before following after his brother.
Terrance was only searching for one person. He knew Kane was going to go straight for Trixie and so he set out to look for the man who ruined his life. It wasn't that hard to find him since the King of Hell destroyed everything within his path.
It didn't take long for Xander to make an appearance. He didn't even notice Terrance approaching him. Xanders eyes were set on Kane.
Kane, of course, saw Xander the second he appeared. He didn't want to deal with him but if he had too, he wouldn't hesitate before lighting his ass up. He was going to let Terrance take care of him. He had 10 years worth of vengeance to unleash on the man and Kane wasn't going to be the one to get in the way, in Terrances way.
Kane saw Xander making his way towards him, they locked eyes and before Xander could take another step, a bright red fiery blur smashed into Xander, sending him and the blur into a tree. It didn't take a genius to know that it was Terrance.
*Let's go! Find our babies!* Goliath roared.
Kane made a mad dash towards the house and with a loud bang, the front door was split in half. One rogue remained in the house and he was shaking, absolutely terrified. Kane could tell this young pup didn't want to be here, he didn't want to have anything to do with this.
"Run." Was all Kane said and the young rogue took off, not once looking back. Goliath just snorted. *Scaredy cat.*
Kane didn't bother with using his excellent sense of smell to track down Trixie. The house reeked of rogues. He focused his hearing and the second he heard her heartbeat, he was dashing through the house at the speed of light.
Kane froze when he came face to face with the little door that held the most precious heartbeat in the world behind it.

Trixies patiences was running low. She could feel the vibrations from whatever was happening outside the house she was in. She could hear the whimpers and howls of pain from the rogues, knowing exactly who was the cause of them.
Trixies gasped when she heard what she thought was the front door being smashed. Gripping tighter onto the gun she was holding. Her breath hitched and a lump formed in her throat when she heard the doorknob to her room squeak. She had a firm hold on the gun, pointed at the door. She had high hopes that it was her mate on the other side but she also feared that it was Xander.
The door slowly opened, revealing an awful looking Kane. Trixies hand started to shake. Kane glanced at the gun in her hands. "Are you going to shoot me, princess?"
Trixie dropped the gun. "Kane!" She sobbed and ran into his arms. Kane fell to his knees with Trixie in his arms. He had his nose buried in her neck, taking in deep inhales of her scent.
"Trixie.." Kane mumbled weakly against her neck. Trixie pulled back to cup his face. She was shocked when she saw the tears running down his cheeks.
"Took you long enough." Trixie whispered with a small smile. Kane gave a weak smile in return and his hold on her only tightened. Trixie didn't miss the look of guilt flash in his eyes before he buried his face in her hair. "I missed you so much!" Trixies hold on Kane tightened as well. "I missed you both, so damn much!"
"Oh baby, we missed you more than you could ever imagine." Kane whispered while nipping at his mark on her.
Trixie gasped but hurriedly pushed him back a bit, earning a growl from Kane. "Let's go home. I want you to take us home." Trixie smiled before placing a soft kiss to Kanes lips.
Kane returned the kiss with raw passion. *Goddess, I missed her.* Goliath whispered. Kane stood up while keeping Trixie secured tightly in his arms. *Let's get home, safely and then spend the next few days, buried fucking deep inside her.* Goliath groaned, making Kane groan out loud.
"What's wrong?" Trixie lifted her head from his shoulder.
"Not a damn thing, baby girl." Kane places a soft kiss to her forehead and made his way outside.
Kane noticed his men were cleaning up his mess and were even helping the few injured rogues.
"Trixie!" Terrance yelled while jogging over to them but stopped dead in his tracks when Kane let out a low warning growl.
"He literally just got his mate back after two weeks of her being kidnapped. You're going to have to wait on the family reunion until we get back." Theodore explained while pulling Terrance back a bit.
"She's my daughter!" Terrance snapped, glaring at him.
"And she's the King of Hells mate! Do you think Kane or Goliath give a single fuck who any of us are right now? Notice how not a single warrior is stepping closer? Keep your distance until we get back home." Theodore warned and turned back towards Kane. "There's only these four left. Everyone else is either dead or ran off. Some of the warriors are gathering wood for a proper burial or uh "spiritual release".. I'm not sure what wolves call their funerals.. either way, they deserve something, they were only following their alphas orders, his orders." Theodore frowned and motioned towards Xander.
Kanes eyes only widened slightly when he saw Xander was still alive. He was pretty beat up. He had burns all over his body, bruises and deep cuts. "Why didn't you kill him?" Kane turned towards Terrance.
"He's going to suffer in those cells. He killed my mate and ruined mine and Trixies lives, I won't reward him with a quick death." Terrance stated.
Kane hummed his response, noticing Trixie was already asleep in his arms. *Fuck, I missed her little snores..* Goliath sighed with statisfaction.
Turning his attention back to Theodore. "I want guards in the hospital room 24/7 for those rogues until they are no threat to my mate or anyone else in the kingdom. Gabriel can choose whether or not to let them join, I don't give a fuck as long as they're not a threat." Kane sat down, up against the small tree that was next to the house. "We'll be right here while you give the deceased a proper *burial.*"
Goliath pushed forward and started his purr while Kane gently rubbed soothing circles on Trixies back. She may already be asleep but they noticed how her grip on them tightened and she snuggled more into them.
It didn't take long before they were finished and were on their way back home. Kane could easily blink everyone back but he didn't want to risk harming his pup. No one has ever blinked while being pregnant so he wasn't going to take any chances. He could fly but then risk Trixie waking up and having some sort of panic attack? Not a chance. He decided on going to the closest town, getting a room so everyone could rest and then wait for Trixie to wake up so they could just fly back together. She needs to learn how to fly anyway.
Kane went ahead and sent Terrance and a few warriors back home, they couldn't exactly walk around human territory with a prisoner and some men who looked like they were on their deathbed.
After getting their rooms, Kane was all snuggled up next to Trixie while Theodore surfed the channels on the motel TV.
"There isn't shit on!" Theodore scowled.
"Then turn the TV off and go to bed." Kane said in a soft voice.
Theodore turned to look at his brother and couldn't stop the smile that spread across his face. "These past two weeks have been absolute hell. It's nice to finally see you have that peace back in your life." Theodore whispered softly.
Kane opened his eyes and just grinned wildly at Theodore. "She's my peace. My everything." Kane placed a soft kiss on Trixies head. He looked back up at Theodore. "Thank you. I don't know what the hell I would do without you or where the hell I would even be."
"Probably curled up in a ball, crying." Theodore let out a quiet laugh, completely ruining the sweet moment between the two of them.
*What motel doesn't have a single bed, bedroom?* Goliath huffed with annoyance.
Kane just chuckled. *It could have been Terrance instead.*
*I don't think so.* Goliath growled.
Kane placed a hand on Trixies noticeable baby bump. *We got our babies back.* Goliath purred in content.
