The Eternal King: Part Two - Ch. 1

(*Throughout the past eighteen years, Kane has been successfully ruling side by side with Gabriel. Their kingdoms have blossomed. Kane made sure that all packs, covens, clans, all supernatural creatures that resided underneath their ruling, knew the new laws set in place. Demons and wolves no longer have hostility towards each other, same goes for the other species of their kind. Many different hybrids have been born, no longer feeling threatened or unsafe, thousands of mated couples and families of opposite species have came out of hiding.*

*Vampires high rising numbers in rejection have been at an all time low. Especially after Kane made it known how their kind was changing the way they survived. The Dragon Empire stayed closed off as usual but more and more of them came out, just searching for their mates.*

*Gabriels oldest son, Azrael, was along for the entire ride, training for the day when he would take over for his father. It seemed like they had finally created the kingdom they wanted.*)

***(Present day)***

A thunderous growl ripped through the kingdoms forest. Followed by the sounds of running footsteps and rapid heartbeats.

*That was close..* Axe murmured.

*We are almost there!* Vincent replied back while dodging a few branches.

*Almost isn't good enough..* Axe grumbled.

*Yes, thank you so much Mr. Obvious.* Vincent snarled.

*Whatever.* Axe grumbled again.

Vincent has been running through the forest for the past hour, trying his damndest to make his way to the small meadow on the edge of the territory. All the while avoiding the man chasing him.

*Axe! I see the meadow!* Vincent exclaimed, jumping over a log.

*Just make it this time..* Axe hissed. *He's the only one we have left to beat.*

*I know.* Vincent mentally rolled his eyes. *Just a few more..*

Vincents thoughts were cut short by a massive black blur tackling him to the ground, just yards from the opening to the meadow.

"Gotcha!" Goliath was in his demon form and was grinning, looking down at his defeated looking pup.

Vincent was taking in deep, fast breaths, trying to catch his breath while an angry look over took his features. "This is bullshit!" He yelled while shoving Goliath off of him and stood up.

"Watch it, pup." Goliath said in a warning tone, standing up as well, not wanting to growl at his own son.

"No, I'll never beat you! You're faster, stronger and smarter!" Vincent shouted in between breaths, feeling irritated and defeated.

Goliath just stared at him, not really knowing what to say. Even after 18 years, he still isn't a man of many words. Kane was best for these situations and so Goliath shifted into his human form, pulled back and let Kane have back control. "Vin, listen." Kane started.

*"That's the whole point of training."* Vincent mocked. "I already know. You've told me a million times. I'm tired of fucking hearing that."

"I'm going to act like I didn't hear you just blatantly disrespect me, Vincent." Kane took a step closer, taking in a deep breath. "You're so focused on trying to beat me, that you're not 100% focused on your surroundings or using your powers, Vin. You and Axe need to treat every training session as the real deal. Stop focusing so much on winning, focus on taking your opponent down." Kane paused. "Vin, I'm not always going to be there to protect you. You're the Prince of Hell, some people might try to harm you or worst, your mate when you find them.. And if anyone finds out how rare.." Kane shook his head. "You have to be able to handle anything that is thrown at you.. I can't lose you.."

Vincent knew he focused too much on winning. So he just nodded his head.

"Vincent, you are amazing in combat. You took down every single person before me.. Theo was so upset when you pinned him. His own nephew bested him." Kane chuckled while wrapping an arm around his sons shoulder. "You're fast, Vin, faster than me when I was your age. You just have to focus on your surroundings better, listen too and for everything, all the time and maybe, just maybe, you'll be able to make it to the meadow before I catch you." Kane chuckled again, playfully pushing Vincent to the side.

"Got it." Vincent smiled softly, nudging him back. "I appreciate all that you do for me, you know that right?"

"Of course I do, baby." Kane smiled and pulled him in for a tight hug. "Let's go home, I'm sure your mother would like some help with dinner."

"Hey, could I try blinking us there?" Vincent asked with excitement. Kane pulled away from the hug with a smirk on his face.

"Of course, blinking is the only thing that you focus too much on, just relax when doing it. Just think of where you want to go and let the rest fall into place. Let Axe guide you." Kane smiled while holding onto Vincents shoulder.

"Okay, I got this. We got this." Vincent smiled. He quickly thought of their living room before letting his instincts take control.

High pitched squeals were vibrating off the walls, making their way towards the kitchen. "Mama!" Isabella squealed while her little legs tried to run as fast as they would allow her.

"I'm going to get you, Issy!" Emily gave a playful growl while prowling closely behind Isabella.

Isabella squealed one last time before she slammed into her moms legs. "Sathe, sathe!" Isabella repeated over and over again while squeezing her mothers legs tighter.

"Darn! I almost got you!" Emily teased, kneeling down while poking the little girls rosy cheek.

"Why do I always have to be the 'safe base' when you two play?" Trixie looked down at them with raised eyebrows.

Emily just chuckled and stood up. "I try to convince her to choose the couch or something but for a two year, she's very smart. She claims the couch can't protect her soooo it's you everytime, sister."

Trixie just shook her head and went back to stirring the cheese sauce. "Anyways, dinner will be ready in a little bit." Trixie turned the heat off of the burner on the stove. "Will you take the tortillas out of the oven when the timer goes off? I need to get Issy cleaned up for dinner."

"Of course." Emily smiled. "Good luck." She chuckled.

Trixie just sent a sharp glare her way. Isabella was just like her big brother when it came to cleaning up or bath time. Vincent hated them when he was little and now, so does Isabella.

Kane and Vincent look like twins, except the small detail of their eyes. Vincent had the black hair, sharp jawline, the height and size just like his father but his eyes were green like his mothers. Isabella had the shiny dark brown hair but matched her fathers deep brown eyes.

Trixie just put on Isabellas diaper before turning to grab her little nightgown when Isabella took off running. Trixie normally would have protested but she got that familiar tingle throughout her body, telling her that her mate was near. With a huge smile and Isabellas' nightgown in her hand, she headed towards the living room.

"How are my two favorite guys?" Trixie smiled while making her way towards Kane and Vincent.

Kane spun around with his own smile plastered to his face, completely ignoring Trixies question and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her in for a tight embrace. "Goddess, I missed you." He grumbled while shoving his nose in her hair and placing soft little kisses on her neck and her mark.

"We had lunch together.." Trixie giggled. Trying her best to ignore the butterflies going crazy in her stomach. Even after all these years, her feelings never once simmered down for him and the same was for him. He was still absolutely crazy when it came to her. They both made each other feel like it was just the beginning of their relationship still.

"I still missed you." Kane let out a heavy sigh and rested his forehead against hers. Trixie was about to respond but a familiar voice chimed in.

"You would think Kane would start having some back problems from having to bend down to hug and kiss your short ass." Theodore laughed.

"You would think you would have some back problems from how many times I've kicked your ass." Kane sneered back.

Theodore sent him a small glare before turning his attention to Vincent. "I'm going to help you kick his ass tomorrow at training." Theodore nodded his head, as if agreeing with himself. Vincent just smirked.

"Good luck with that." Kane snorted. "Where's Tatum?"

"He's busy..." Theodore looked everywhere but at them. "Let's eat."

"Okay.. I'm sure he's not too busy for dinner.. I'll go get him." Kane frowned. Theodore and Tatum have always eaten dinner with them. They all still live in their wing of the castle but have added a couple more hallways for extra rooms and such, making the living room and dining room slightly bigger as well.

*Stop please!* Theodore mindlinked him. *I'll bring him his food after dinner, I swear.*

*Why? What did you do?* Kane glared at him.

*I didn't do anything!* Theodore glared back.

*Then I'm going to go get him.* Kane turned around and headed for Theodore and Tatums hallway.

*He's tied to the bed!* Theodore shouted at him through their link.

Kane turned around with wide eyes. *What!*

Theodores entire face was redder than a tomato. *Just please let this go.. he's okay, I swear..* Theodore whispered that last part while lowering his gaze to the ground, embarrassment written all over his face.

Kane cleared his throat while trying to hide the slight pink that has tinted his cheeks. "Lets go eat." Kane turned towards all the curious eyes, his eyes landing on his daughter. "Isabella, put your nightgown on. Princesses don't run around naked, now do they?" He frowned.

Isabella looked up at him and gave him the biggest heart melting smile but it soon faded when she saw the serious look on his face. "Sawwy.." She whispered and walked over to Trixie to get her nightgown.

The second her nightgown was put on, Kane swooped her up in his arms, playfully snarling while pretending to bite at her tummy, making Isabella giggle.

Dinner was going peacefully. Everyone was having a good time, talking about their days. Theodore however only stayed for about ten minutes before picking up his plate and an extra one before heading off to his room.

"So Vincent.." Kane spoke before taking a sip from his glass. "I've decided you can do your senior year at Full Moon High. I already talked to the principal and all the teachers, they were made aware of your condition.." Kane stopped talking and frowned. "If anyone gives you problems.. I'll burn them alive, Vin, I really will."

"Wait! Are you serious?!?" Vincent nearly shouted with excitement. "I don't have to be homeschooled anymore??"

"It's not like you were alone.. you have KJ and Todd.." Kane stated. "Also Gabriel and Kol agreed to let them join you as well."

Vincent stood up from the table. "YES!" He started fist pumping the air. "WOO! I can't believe this! Yes! Yes!" Vincent ran over towards his father and started placing kisses all over the side of his face. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

"Just behave, I mean it." Kane warned but couldn't stop the smile from forming.
