Chapter Forty-eight
Trixie sat happily on her rocking chair, gently rocking back and forth, humming a little tune. The past few weeks have been quiet and somewhat peaceful.
When Kane found out that Alpha Kurt and the remaining members of the Red Wood pack left and joined his sister and her mates pack, he was livid. He wanted Kurt to pay for all the harm and trauma he caused Trixie but all Trixie had to do was give him that look and he was done with it. Alpha Kurt never once popped back into his mind again. What shocked him the most was that Goliath was perfectly fine with it, normally his beast would want revenge but Goliath was completely pussy whipped. Losing his entire pack and his most treasured friendship with Terrance was enough punishment for what he's done.
"Is this good?" Theodore asked.
"It's crooked." Trixie mumbled while not even raising her eyes to look.
Theodore just frowned. He took a few steps back and sighed heavily. "How do you do that?" Theodore went back to the small window curtain and started to straighten it.
"Well I have all the time in the world to just sit.. and observe.. since I'm not allowed to do anything." Trixie said in an annoyed tone.
"Oh, don't bullshit me, princess. You enjoy being waited on, hand and foot." Theodore teased.
"It's not like I have much of a choice." Trixie let out a small sigh and stuck out her bottom lip in a pout.
"That doesn't work on me, little princess." Theodore laughed.
"Stop calling me that." Trixie frowned.
"Alright, stop it. You two are worse than an old married couple." Kane spoke up, stepping out from behind the giant curtain that hid the entire room, besides the one window that Theodore just currently worked on, all of the walls were covered. "Theo, stop teasing her. I don't want you getting her all worked up. It's not good for the baby." Kane walked over to Trixie, placing a protective hand over her much larger baby bump and giving her a soft kiss.
Theodore just rolled his eyes. "Whatever you say, your royal high-painintheass-ness"
Kane just glared at Theodore for what felt like forever. Theodores' smug smile tugged at his lips.
"Is it done?" Trixie asked, breaking their staring contest.
Kane glanced down at his mate and gave her a megawatt smile. "Go stand outside the door with Theo while I set everything up."
"I can wait in the hallway by myself." Trixie growled in frustration, trying to get up from her chair. Kane wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him, only the baby bump in between them.
When Trixie first got home, Kane was with her 24/7. She went to every meeting, to his office, everywhere Kane was, Trixie was there as well. Just a couple days ago did Kane start allowing Trixie to be out of his site, only if Demy or Theodore was with her and even then he had a hard time focusing on his work.
"Baby, please.. I don't mean to make you feel.." Kane whispered, trying to explain.
Trixie interrupted him. "I know.. I know.." Trixie stood on her tippy toes and gave him a quick kiss. "I understand.. even if it is annoying." She gave him a small smile and started wobbling towards the door. Trixie was just almost three months pregnant but according to the tests run by Theodore and Dr. Lee, the baby looked to be eight months.
Everyone was amazed at how fast the baby was growing. Mania and Samuel, of course, acted like it was perfectly normal, which did give Kane a lot of reassurance. If his mother was calm and not at all worried about how fast this pregnancy was, then he was going to try his best to remain calm and not freak out. Easier said than done because no one was allowed near Trixie, at least not until after he gave them a warning growl.
Trixie stood on the other side of the door with Theodore. He had one arm wrapped around her, trying to help keep her from putting too much pressure on her back. One thing this pregnancy did was make her back hurt like hell and her emotions were all over the place.
After listening to Kane move a bunch of things around for a few minutes, Kane slowly opened the door. "You ready to see, princess?" Kane stuck out his hand for her to take and Trixie happily did.
"Oh my god!" Trixie gasped. "You two did all of this??"
"Of course we did, baby." Kane kissed the top of her head.
Trixie was completely amazed at what she was seeing. She explained to Kane what she wanted the nursery to look like but didn't think they would get it exactly right.
Three of the walls were made of different shades of silver-grey wood palettes with few black wood palettes placed throughout them. The carpet was a light grey-ish color. All the baby furniture was white with grey trims or accents to it. The fourth wall was painted a solid color, it was a deep navy blue and it had the solid white baby crib placed perfectly in the middle with two giant white teddy bears placed in both corners. The only window in the room had a matching navy blue curtain.
Trixie slowly made her way around the room, admiring every single thing. She didn't even realize she was crying until she felt Kane cup her cheeks with both his hands.
"Baby, why are you crying?" Kane whispered while wiping away her tears with his thumbs. "Is there something wrong with the room?"
Trixie just shook her head. "It's perfect! I absolutely love it! You got everything perfect!" Trixie shoved her face in his chest and started sobbing harder.
Kane just chuckled and started rubbing soothing circles on her back. "So these are happy tears then?"
Trixie just nodded her head while his shirt tried to absorb her tears.
"Come on, baby. The surprise isn't over yet." Kane cooed in her ear.
Trixie lifted her head and finally noticed the small curtain on the wall next to the door they entered. "What is it?" Trixie asked with small hiccups.
"Go look." Kane grinned. Trixie noticed the giant grin on Theodores face as well.
She slowly wobbled her way over to the curtain and gently tugged at it, making the curtain fall to the floor. Mounted on the wall was a big red wood heart. With the words 'I love you' hand painted in italic above it. The heart had a few pictures placed in the middle, forming a collage. It was all the ultrasound pictures they had and few of Kane and Trixie together.
"Wait.. how where did these come from?" Trixie asked, wiping away her tears and focusing on the pictures of her and Kane.
"I took them." Theodore whispered with a blush. "I saw these sweet moments and decided they needed to be captured. I made the heart big enough so you can keep adding to the collage.. do you like it..?" You could hear the uncertainty in his voice.
"I love it! Thank you!" Trixie had more tears running down her face and pulled Theodore in for a tight hug. "I can't wait to make more memories and add them here.."
"This little chipmunk won't ever question if they are loved or not." Theodore chuckled.
Kane just snorted his response. Trixie let her eyes roam over the room once again. She couldn't believe these two did all of this. Her eyes finally landed on the wall with the baby crib. Above the crib was the baby's name written in white paint.
Trixie smiled and looked down at her pregnant belly. "You sure are loved, my little prince."
Kane smiled as well and placed a hand on her stomach. "Our little prince, Vincent Hell." Kane leaned down and placed a warming kiss on Trixie forehead.
Theodore quietly exited the room, letting the little family have a moment to themselves. With the biggest grin on his face, he made his way towards his room that held his happiness, his mate.

"You're being ridiculous!" William shouted.
"How?!? I see the way he looks at you!!" Reese seethed with anger.
"He looks at me the same way he looks at Kane and Theo!" William argued. Reese still hasn't made peace with Jake and it was time that William got to the bottom of it.
"Exactly!" Reese yelled.
"EXACTLY!" William growled.
Reese glared at William before his eyes widened ever so slightly, realizing he just got himself trapped into something. "What do you mean?" Reese kept his glare.
"He looks at Kane and Theo with a look of pure love and admiration. Kane and Theo are easily two of the most important people to him in this entire universe. Kane and Theo look at me like I'm their brother as well so why wouldn't Jake feel the same as them? I'm important to them so why wouldn't I be important to him?" William spat harshly. "Jake doesn't have many people on his side. The only family he's ever really known, is Kane and his family. So Jake will automatically accept anyone Kane or Theo find worthy. Jake looks at me like I'm his brother. And now that Terrance is his mate, you will fall under the title of family. He knows how important you are to Terrance and he will try his best to make things right between you too." William paused for a second, thinking over everything he said. "That real question is, are you going to keep acting like a jackass or are you going to stop being some jealous psycho?"
Reese just slumped. Realizing he wasn't going to win this battle. "I'm sorry.."
"I'm not the one you should apologize to." William cut him off.
"Will you let me talk?" Reese snapped causing William to roll his eyes. "I do owe you an apology because I put you in a tough spot because of my jealousy. I just love you. My lycan gets crazy when he sees anyone looking at you a certain way and the vamp part of him doesn't exactly help with the situation, it's like Kane with Trixie.." Reese explained.
"Wait what?" Williams' eyes widened. "Vamp? Your lycan is a hybrid with a vampire??"
Reese just stared at him with a blank expression. "Y-yes.." He whispered, unsure how William would react.
"And you l-love me?" William asked.
"Yes.." Reese whispered again.
Williams' face was completely unreadable, worrying Reese for a split second before he saw William crack the biggest smile. "You love me!" William nearly yelled while wrapping Reese into a tight hug. William started peppering kisses all over Reeses face, saying a very happy, 'I love you too', in between the kisses.
"You're so wild." Reese joked, not being able to contain his small laughs.
"You're the wild one, vampy."
