#Chapter 22- Saulty Samantha

Ava’s Pov
I kept to myself for the next days. I knew I should have apologize to Elijah but every time he was around me I wanted to scream. He was a bastard, every day he reminded me of my mate, Jacob.
I looked down at my food in disgust. I had lost what little appetite that I had thinking about that cheating traitor. After I left Elijah’s office I tried to talk with Tide but I felt a jolt of energy when I did.
She had not been in contact with me for weeks and I was worried. But that energy that flowed through me terrified me. It was unlike anything that I had ever felt.
Was there another wolf around here? I stopped my thoughts before my paranoia got a hold me. If I kept thinking that someone was out to get me I would be a nervous wreck.
I felt my phone buzz, when I looked down I saw a message from Sally.
[SMS from: Sally 👓] I have some good news and bad news for you. Which first?
Ever since I been signed to Moon Entertainment, I was given a phone with multiple contacts. I hardly ever used it unless it was to communicate with the instructors of the classes. Technology was limited in the otherworld and most of the wolves used walkies talkies or mind links during the runs.
When Sally became my agent and manager said demanded that I use the phone to contact her while she was out of business or when I was on set. She tried to encourage me to get into social media but I gave a hard pass. I did not understand the complexity of “beeps “and “ig-ing”.
I did like the emojis though.
[SMS sending to: Sally 👓] Good news. I could use some.
[SMS from: Sally 👓] Elijah wants to see you in his office.
Seriously how is that good news. I thought.
But my thoughts were cut short by the shrill voice of excitement coming from across the room. It was Lily and her group. She was so loud and extra that no one had to eavesdrop on the conversation.
“So I don’t know if you realize this but this is a big deal for you Lily,” one of the girls at the table injected. I think her name was Tabbi or Tabitha.
“I know. Lily this could boost your career and get you the roles you deserve.” Her agent Maggie said as she looked my way.
Figures they were trying to get a rise out of me. I did not have time for childish acts.
Then Lily spoke and everything stopped.
“This role means so much to me, you guys. I know I can get the role based on my abilities. And besides they need real talent and not someone that will sleep with anyone to get ahead.”
Some how I knew that was directed to me. Ever since I won, Lily and many others had it in their minds that I slept with Elijah or one of the judges to win the competition. It did not help that Lily spread that rumor like wildfire.
The buzz of a notification distracted me from my surroundings.
[SMS from: Sally 👓] And the bads news….
[SMS sending to : Sally 👓] Let me guess the bad news is that Lily is auditioning for the role that I was gunning for….again.
[SMS from: Sally 👓] Elijah approved her and a number of actors to audition for the series. Your name was not on the list. I’m sorry Ava.
I do not like to brag about myself, it was one of the things my mother taught me while in the spotlight, but dammit I know I could get this role. Despite what everyone thought.
I was going to win this role no matter the obstacle. Screw this I thought looking at Lily and then down at my phone.
Technically I did not need Elijah nor Sally’s permission to audition. I did not have to tell them.
[SMS sending to : Sally 👓] Hey Sally, I am not really feeling well. I think I am gonna go home and rest. Can you set up a meeting with Elijah in a few days.
I did need a few days for the auditions and I was not really ready to talk with Elijah at the moment. I felt betrayed and angry The last thing I wanted was to have my contracted yanked from under me.
But I was going to prove my point to everyone around me. I smiled as I walked out of the building and held my hand up signaling for a taxi.
“Where to miss?“ The driver asked politely. I smiled at him with reassurances.
I showed the drive the address that I needed for him to take me. Staring up at the building I took a deep breath. I Was going against everything that I agreed to when I signed with Moon Entertainment, but at the moment I did not care. I wanted this.
I walked up to the secretary of the casting and I met her smile brightly.
“Hello, my name is Ava. I have an appointment for the audition.”
“Oh yes Ava, you had a late sign-up but your information was saved with us. If you will just walked through the door the director and producers will interview your for the role. Good luck.”
“Thank you.” I said as my heels clicked against the marble.

~~~~~~~Three Hours Later ~~~~~~~
I smiled as I left the audition. The producers could not stop complimenting me. The director said that even though they still had to interview others, they knew I was a sure thing for the role.
“Breathtaking, absolutely thrilling.” The female producer said.
“It was sensual giving the mysterious undertone.” The male counterpart stated.
““I think I need a drink after that,” The director said resulting it everyone including myself laughing at his gesture of wiping his brow.
“Thank you all so much. I cannot wait to see the results of the auditions.” I said as I let the door close behind me. I resisted the urge to do a happy dance in the middle of the hallway, but there were other actors waiting to be seen. I did still care what people thought of me. I call it a result of being a Luna of a judgemental pack.
I opened my phone to get a taxi home. I was exhausted and just want to take a bubble bath and fell asleep. I deserved it after being so defiant.

It was late at night when they saw Elijah leave his office at Moon Entertainment. He usually left around seven p.m. but with the on going meetings there was no way he would not be getting out later than ten. This still worked as an advantage as long as he was out of the office.
It was easy to slip into Elijah’s office after he left. The cameras and lights would not notice that the intruder had gone in and out.
Before leaving the intruder would make sure to put the video on loop of an empty hallway.
The intruder was not there to steal but to leave a present for the CEO of the company. The intruder thought he would like to know how his star was doing.
The intruder pulled a disk drive out of their pocket and placed it on the desk. IT would be the first thing that he saw when he came into the office with him morning coffee.
The disk drive had a file labelled “Saulty Samantha,” it was the main role that many of the actors of Moon was auditioning for but this one was perfection. This was Ava’s audition—the same audition that Elijah denied her for.
The intruder left the room gently closing the door and leaving the building but not before plugging another drive into the security cameras.
