#Chapter 65: Rejection Fulfilled
Ava
With Alex dead I knew the next step would be to deal with Jacob. Truth be told I did not want to face the father of my children. I wanted to see my babies.
But I knew that if I did not face the Alpha of the pack I would never get my freedom. I would be running for the rest of my existence. He needed to die.
As I made my way up the stairs of the manor it amazed me how quickly Alex had moved into the place during my absence. All of the decorations that Jacob and I had put together had been replaced with gaudy and tasteless pieces. I chuckled at the thought of her blood being spared over the linoleum.
I was grateful and sad that I caught the scent of my babies as well as Melissa. She had been true to her word when she said that she would take the children to a safe place. I even smelled the scent of Jacob and Alex’s son with them. Even though I had distaste fro the dead woman downstairs my heart did ache for the boy,but this was the life of wolves. Challenges ended to the death and Alex was in the end not strong enough to back up her challenge.
I made my way up stairs and I could hear Jacob discussing his agenda with someone. As I got closer I could hear Melissa’s mate and Jacob’s Beta talking to Jacob.
“Reports indicated that the Harbinger Wolf Pack are on their way with their strongest Enforcers.” I could hear Doni giving Jacob updates.
“Meaning what Doni.”
“Alpha Elijah is demanding the release of Ava and those children. He is also demanding that you surrewnder.” Doni muttereed.
“This is just perfect, that damn Alpha is going to invade my territory over this bitch! Do something!” Jacob shouted.
I chuckled and that got their attention. Doni and Jacob turned to see me leaning against the doorway.
“What are you doing here and where is Alex?” Jacob said.
“I am afraid your little plaything will not be getting up any thing soon,” I said as I stomped my bloodied foot on the carpet floor and passed my foot across it.
I smiled when he came to the realization of what happened.
“You killed Alex,” Jacob said in awe.
“And here you said that she would kill me if I accepted her challenge imagine that.” I chuckled as he walked around the table.
“You killed the mother of my heir.” He yelled. I sicked me that was how he sw his son; a tool to furhter his lienage.
“Little advice: Next time teach your bitch not to challenge someone that is not in her caliber.” I said sliding my gaze to Doni.
“Doni be a dear and go check on your mate,” I said. He growled at me, he took a step further but Jacob extended his arm to stop him.
“What did you do to my mate, Ava,” Doni growled but the end of it sounded like a whine. I knew he was worried for her.
“Melissa is fine, I just don’t want you or anyone else here while your Alpha and I have a little chat,” I said. I looked back at Jacob’s form and could see that he was practically foaming at the mouth with rage.
When Doni turned to look at his Alpha approval I whistle and got his attention. I motioned Doni to leave the room and he did just that. Since I killed Jacob’s “intended” mate and won the challenge I was still had rightful claim as LUNA meaning those of the Golden Eye Wolf Pack would stick follow my orders.
“Now where were—” before I could finish Jacob had appeared in front of me and backhanded me. My head relled to the side from the force but he did not knock me off my feet.
I licked the side of my mouth and tasted blood. I looked up at the man I once called a mate. Without thinking I slammed my fist into his temple. When the force brough Jacob forward I grabbed his head and slammed my knee into his jaw.
He dropped to the floor and I cocked back to kick him in the face but he grabbed my leg and swung me away with force. I hit the wall leaving an imprint on impact.
I felt the knot forming on my head but I ignored it. I had to. I let the power in my body generate to the surface. I let the energy crackle around me. I had been holding back against Alex but I was not going to hold anything back with Jacob.
Jacob appeared in front of my and picked me put off the floor by my throat. “If it was not for those brats you popped out I would kill you here and now. But since you killed Alex I still need someone to take care of my offsprings.” Jacob spat.
I laughed at the delusional man and hocked a woad of blood in his face. I could feel him tighten his grip on my throat and it was being to get hared to breath. I would have slammed my fist into his temple but he had my body extended out of reach.
I lowered my gaze and smiled.
“What is so goddamn funny,” Jacob snarled. I answered him with my action as I braced my knee into the junction in between his legs. In an instant he loosen his grip around my throat nad dropped to the ground.
“Might at well get the source of our martial problems one last time.” I said as I reeled back one more time and slammed my bare foot into his chest.
I was heaving at the moment gasping for oxygen. HJad I been any later Jacob would have rendered me unconcious. I looked over at JAcob and saw this as the perfect opportunity. I would not get another chance.
“I, Ava, the Luna of Golden Eye Pack, reject my mate Jacob, Alpha. I reject the blessing of the Moon Gods and the union that was placed on us.”
I acknowledged that our bond was broken and I feel the strength of our bond falter from my body. I began to walk out of the room but I saw Jacob stagger back to his feet.
“You cannot reject me, Ava!”
“I just did. We are nothing anymore Jacob.” I said giving the man a once over. I felt nothing but rage for him.
“I will kill you,” he shouted back at me.
I took a deep breath and felt my powers form around me. “Jacob do you remember what you asked me why I smelled differently? The reason why I smell definitely is because I am not completely wolf and human. I am the daughter of a witch and an Alpha werewolf.”
Taking a deep breath I sprinted to the side of the room where Jacob was and slammed my body into him. With the force of my power and the lost of balance Jacob fell into the window of the room. I had used my powers and my speed as a wolf to knock him into the window.
Jacob had fall out of the third story window. Using my wolf abilities I heard a thud and crack. I was hooping that he did not recover from that. I was pleading that he was dead.
As I walked to the broken window and looked down I saw his back slowly rise and fall. I saw his claws rake through the dirt trying to rise up.
I tsked at the luck, I did not know if it was mine or his.
Of course the bastard survived the fall.
