#Chapter 71: A Queen Becomes a Monster

Months later
During the production of the movie I did not see hide nor disgusting face of Gerald Bromski. Even though he was the producer of the film, he was giving strick warning by the director that he was not allowed on set.
Elijah and many other studio officials had given Bromski an ultimatum: stay away from production and the actresses or he would be kicked out of the business for good. Elijah mentioned on several occasions when he would come get me from shooting that:
“He would have rather tore Bromski apart than let the little prick see the next day.”
Not htat I bleamed Elijah for his feelings but if that were to happend it could effect his position as Alpha as well as his communications with humans.
During filming I got to be alongside Evette Cole and she gave me tips on just about anything. She was everything that I thought she would be and more. Mrs. Cole was friendly to everyone on the set she was posed and the role of my characters enemy fit her like a glove.
During the premiere of the movie she never left my side and I made Sarah my plus one for the event. I would have liked to bring Elijah however he had to make regular visits to the pack lands to make sure security around the perimeter was up to scale. Ever since Sissy betrayed them Elijah has been up in arms lately.
I tried to reassure him that everything was going to be alright, but I knew that his ambitions to protect everyone around him would not stop until he put an end to the syndicate.
Months flew by and the film was up for an Academy Award. When Sarah came in to my condo with the news I thought she was going to faint. But the best news was that I was nominated for the “Best Actress” award of the night. Sarah and I jumped up and down like we had just won tickets to a boy band concert.
The night of the award ceremony came faster than we expected.
“and the winner for Best Actress goes to… AVA!” When they called my name I was not truly paying attention. Sarah grabbed my arm nad stood me up shouting near my ear.
“YOU WON! AVA YOU WON THE AWARD!” I quickly hugged Sarah and made my way up the stairs to receive my award.
As i grabbed the award I felt a prick against my skin but I ignored it. I stood in front of the podium and cleared my throat.
“Thank you. Thank you all so much for this award.” My throat began to tickle.

I would like to thank Moon Entertainment Studios, from day one they have supported me in every endeavor that I have pushed to be apart of. I would …” I paused because I felt something at the back of my throat again, but this time I felt the urge to cough. I hacked and cough until I was kneeling on the floor in tears.
Ava what is the matter? What is going on?
I heard Tide in my head but there was nothing I could do to stop it. I felt my clothes tear and my hands enlarge in front of my very eyes. I looked around and saw that I was transforming right on the screen. I was becoming a wolf on national television for the world to see.
When my dress was in shambles and my body was no longer in human form I could hear several people scream and shout at my form.
The entire world audience just saw their popular and gorgeous starlet turn into a she-wolf on the spot. Everyone around me was in shock, awe and complete disbelief.
I knew that I could not speak so but the painful headache made me let out a howl that shattered every glass in the area. This turned people into a panic. Many of them charged the stage calling me names.
“Freak.”
“Monster.”
“Kill it!” With that notion i trotted out stage and took off int full speed to the manor. I opened my mind to link with Elijah desperately hoping that he was not too far fro me.
“Elijah, please help!”
“Kitten what’s the matter?”
“I transformed in front of everyone at the award ceremony and I don’t know why,” i howled.
“Calm down, meet me at the manor and we will figure this out.”
I took off in full speed trying not to draw too much attention to myself but I found that it was too late. On the big screens outside on billboards and other inside window shops showed the ceremony and my speech It showed me transforming and taking off.
The entire shoot was like an instant replay. I could not escape it. I could hear sirens and other noises behind me.
In wolf form it did not take me any time to reach the manor. I had lost the police and other tht wanted to take me out. I kept shaking my head trying to figure out how I transofrmed. What made me like this.
I wanted to make sense of it all but all i could feel was rage.
‘Ava,” I heard a voice coming from the side of the house. I knew that it was my mate but something in side of me compelled me to charge him.
I went into a crouch and sprang up at the Alpha.
He was my enemy.
But since when?
I could hear Elijah say something to me but everything was fuzzy and blurry.
“Lis…t…me,” every thing was distorted.
Before I knew it I was charging blindly again but this time i felt myself become weightless for a moment and then crashing down into what I assume was the ground. I tried to growl at the ones responsible but I whined at the pain I was feeling.
“i know baby. I am so sorry,” I could hear the voice of my opponent.
Did I rally attack my mate?
“Elijah she i infected too,” another voice came from behind.
I growled at the voice knowing they would do me no wrong but I coud not help it. My instincts were going haywire.
I heard several clicks around us and someone swearing.”
“Stand down! I said stand down. I am ELijah Connery and I have business with your employer. Do not make the mistake of shooting her.”
Using my senses I could smell gunpowder and lead in the air. I could also smell the scent of anger and fear. There were humans here to captor me or worse.
The human world had rushed out and assembled large number of guards and troops to exterminate the monster; me.
Elijah and Grayson never left their spots defending me. I saw truly terrified by everything. I was confused to how I came to be in my second form.
“Get out of the way so we can deal with the monster behind you. If you do not comply we will act accordingly.” The voice was coming from a microphone from the distance of the enemy’s smells I knew how many men were there. I know the difference between each mans fear, disgust and anger. I even knew the ones that would shot no matter the order.
“Ava I order you to shift back,” my mate demanded as the guns did not lower in front of us.
I fell to the ground and quickly shifted faster than I did at the award ceremony. Elijah’s command had overruled whatever had happened to me. But it was too late.
I could hear the order and I felt Elijah quickly shield me form the blasts that came our way. Between the gunfire Elijah barely had enough time to shield my naked body from the gun fire. Grayson was hit in the arm and in the leg but both were grazes. Elijah took the blunt of the force and majority of the damage to his body. He had long been scarred but the fresh ones that he received were not from wolves but from humanity those that he swore to protect.
I was able to get both Grayson and Elijah into the house and bandage everyone up. The police were now stationed outside the manor.
Then the worst news that could come appeared right in front of my eyes as I watched the television. It had come out that not only was I a werewolf, but also a wanted criminal. The commercial director, who I had seriously injured was making appearance discussing how I attacked him for now giving me a part.
He also came out to rub it in, describing in graphic detail how badly he had been hurt. The bastard was milking my unfortunate circumstances for his profit. But he was not the only one.
Gerald Bromski went on day time television explaining that he had been hurt by me and I threaten him into giving me the role of Nubian Queen.
I cried knowing that the world saw me as something that I never wanted to be seen as. I was seen a monster and a killer now.
