#Chapter 25: Actress versus Luna

Only me. Only I could be the werewolf to fall asleep with her boss. But to top it off my boss is the Alpha of one of the harshest packs in the country.
I thought the leader of the deadliest pack was sexy….I groaned as I came to that realization.
The shoot was postponed for a few days given the need to relocate. Something in the mass email about needing a better light than what the studio was providing.
While I was a little upset about not being on set, I was energize to go to my lessons and ask for pointers from my instructors.
Secretly I was hoping to avoid Elijah altogether. After seeing his tattoo and finding out his secret I doubt I would be able to look him in the eyes again.
Suddenly I felt something slam into my shoulder and slam my against the wall in the hall. I looked behind me to see none other than Lily.
“Sorry I must have mistook you for the trash that you are.” Lily said with a grin.
I walked over to her a slammed my palm into her shoulder. “What the fuck is your problem?” I demanded.
I had enough of this. I worked my ass off since I was a child to get my talent noticed. Not once did I ever think about sleeping with anyone to get a head in life.
And now this bitch was accusing me of this slander left and right.
“My problem is you,” Lily said as she go closer to my face. “You have been a constant problem for me. You stole the talent win for me. You stole the roles that I wanted and you flaunt yourself around here just because you open your legs for anyone for a shot.”
For a moment I hesitated. Did she see me with Elijah? Did she know how close he got to me?
I mentally shook my head at the thought. When I had left only Elijah and I where the only ones in the entire building.
“No one stole your roles, you conceited moron.” I said letting my voice overshadow hers. If Lily wanted to throw blows she picked the wrong female.
“That fact that I won the talent competition with only three days of preparation shows that I know how to improvise better than you. Those roles you claim that I stole were placed in front of me every single time. I was recalled to the series “Dark Bayou Desire,” which you turned down until you found out that I was up for the role.”
I stepped closer to Lily to the point our noses were touching. “You want to be me so bad Lily, walk a day in my shoes and see how much I fought to be here. Until then stay out of my face and get out of my way.”
The urge to fight made my blood boil. The inner wolf in me demanded that the challenge to my status be answered. I could not fight Alex because she never officially challenged me for my titled as Luna and Jacob never allowed it.
Here there was no one to convince Lily to back down. And I was not going to break either.
“Ladies,” a familiar voice rang out through the hallway. Shit. I swear as I saw her separating the crowd with one of the other instructors. At least Elijah was not here. I thought as Sally made her way to us.
“This is not highschool; this is a place of business. If you have any issues or desecrations about the casting see your instructors for further aid.”
She turned towards Lily when she continued speaking. “Or speak with Mr. Connery about the matter further.”
When the instructor and Sally got the crowd to disperse from Lily and I, she pulled me to the private lounge and began to converse with me.
“Ava, I do not know what is going on with you but as your manager I strongly advise that you keep a level head.”
I huffed at her advice. “Says the woman that has been going to our boss tattling on me like I drew with a marker on his wall.” I knew I was being childish at the moment but Sally had no right to criticize me.
“I have not tattled on you. Truth be told I confided with Elijah that your behavior is starting to worry me.”
“What did he say?” I asked.
“He said that he would speak to you and make sure you were taking care of yourself.”
That’s probably how i ended up from the lounge couch to his office. He went looking for me.
“I can assume you too did not speak yet.”
Not directly. I thought as I remembered the sequence of events and how I was endanger of Elijah finding out my secret.
“Ava, I just want you to take care of yourself. Not just mentally and physically, but also networking. If anyone gets wind of something like this it could be bad for your career. You could be labeled as an actress ‘that is difficult to work with’.” Sally said to me.
I noticed the air quotes around that phrase that I heard when I was a child actor. If that label hit anyone’s ear you could hardly find work unless they were desperate for actors or if you were worth the headache.
“I promise that I will do better and avoid altercations like what happened earlier. But I do have a favor to ask.” I said weighing my options.
“Yes.” Sally said eager to help.
“Could it be possible for me to request taking my lessons online. The series is going to have a full booked schedule and I dont want to fall behind. “
“I will ask for the forms and send them to you. Once you complete them I will send them to the instructors and forwarded them to Mr. Connery. I doubt he will have any problems with you studying at home.” Sally said. She pulled her cellphone out and made a note of it in her fils.
I was relieved. Anything to keep away from Elijah. While I was terrified about him finding out my secret, I was confused about his actions towards me.
He held me while I slept. He even went out of his way to keep me close to him. Maybe if I tell him the truth…
I snapped myself out of my daydream.
Yeah walk up to the man and say; Good day Mr. Connery. So the day we snuggled in your office I was trying to get comfortable with you and I noticed that you are a part of the Enforcer packed. How do I know this?
Well I am a wolf that transported myself without approval and I am hiding here away from being rejected and being labeled a rogue.
But I promise I am not a traitor. I am just a half-breed that her mate does not want anymore.
Even thinking it in my head left a dryness in my throat. I wanted to cry. I wanted to scream.
I wanted to lay in Elijah’s arms and have him tell me everything would be alright.
