#Chapter 66: Alpha vs. Alpha

We waste no time after the witch Shanti has given me Ava’s location. Grayson and I shift into our wolf forms and go through the closest portal to meet up with the rest of the Enforcers. All of them except a female wolf has transformed.
“My Alpha before I leave you I must warn you of that Jacob may have ties with humans and the Syndicate group that has been terrorizing the borders.
I growl at the new information. How do you know this? I mindlink with her. I am angry that so much has developed without my recollection.
“Lewis found trace calls between the Alpha tied to Ava and a human from the other world. Jacob and the other human had been in contact for months before Jacob went to the human world.”
With that bit of information she saddle on a wolf that was her companion. She was not a warrior for battle and the animal she brought would be hurt in the crossfire trying to protect her.
You all heard her stay alert and keep together. We do not need to be taken by surprise.
I roared giving command for the rest to follow suit. I knew that I would not take but a half of day to reach Ava.
What should we expect when we arrive Alpha. I could hear Lewis in my mind. I was prepared for anything expect finding my mate and the children dead, but I could not let my pack know that.
Be prepared for anything to happen. With that I closed my thoughts off from the others and picked up the pace. I could not think about the worst, if I did I would not survive to see the battle field.
After hours of running in silence we came to the small village where the Golden Eye Pack resided. The werewolves and I make it to the pack lands of Jacob. It looks like a ghost town, but we were sure that someone had warned them that we were coming.
In my wolf form I signal for several of the wolves to separate and come back with recon. The Twins and Lewis take the south part of the lands. My Omega by the name of Travis takes the rear and goes in the basement of the house. When I ask why he expalins that;
I smell blood and medicine in the air. I want to make sure that they are not holding torture sessions.
That thought brought my anger to the surface. I was going to ripe Jacob limb from limb.
Grayson commanded another group to follow him to the forest opposite to where we came.
LEwis and the Twins return to me first.
So I have good news and strange news. Lewis informed me through the mindlink.
Go on. I growl at the anger I feel flowing through me.
So apparently most of the wolves and weres in this pack have surrendered to us. That is the good news. Lweis was always one for details.
What’s the strange news. I question.
Then the one of the Twins interject. We found the baby twins. Olivia and Lucas are safe.
Lewis cut him off just then. Apparently the Beta’s mate is taking care of the children as to the orders of her Luna, Ava.
Also Jacob’s Beta is renouncing his Alpha stating that he did not want blood of his people to be spilled.
I tried to make sense of what I was told but one thing was certain, Jacob lost his command and there was now a mutiny afoot. I decide to mindlink with my Beta and see what he has found out.
Grayson have you found anything?
No, Alpha everything is clear now. Looks like everyone here is either in hiding or up and left.
Jacob lost control of his pack. We need to find Ava.
What about the twins?
They are safe. Head back to the center square and we will regroup.
I give the order for Lewis and the Twins to stay with the mate of the Beta of this pack and keep her and the children safe.
When Grayson meets up with me, we make our way to the pack house of The Golden Eye Pack. We needed to deal with the Alpha and his mistress. As we got to the front of the manor we see someone flying our of the window of the third story.
It appeared as if someone had thrown him out of the house.
Grayson and my wolf growl at the ominous power coming from the house. I have no doubt in my mind that it is Ava. She is alive.
When Jacob tries to get up I begin to charge him without hesitation. I subdue Jacob but the power that was flowing throughout the house in now in the air. Its coated.
We look up to see that Ava is floating out of the window. Jacob bites down on my arm to get free. Jacob takes the opportunity to transform. I look at the wolf in front of me and figure out why they are called the Golden Eyes.
Without warning Jacob take a bites out of my shoulder. In the corner of my eye I can see Ava trying to assist but Grayson stops her. I can hear him calling out to Ava warning her.
He tells her that I as Alpha of the Harbingers and Lead Enforcer has to subdue Jacob and attend to his sentencing. I don’t have to look at her to see that she is conflicted.
As Jacob charges for me I slam my paw into his muzzle and bite down into his jaw. While we fight I can see that my pack is gathered around. They know how the fight will end.
I have trained all of them. Fought along side of them. As Jacob tries to slam my torso into the house I am able to drag my claws along his face taking out of his eye.
He roars in pain and has lost momentum. I one swift movement I slam Jacob to the ground and lock my fangs into his jugular. As the blood lost gets to him I see that he has pasted out. He is still alive but wounded.
I begin to pant and try not to stagger to Ava. She pushes everyone to the side and runs to my side.
I nestle my muzzle into the junction of her neck.
“I am okay, but I killed Alex.”
I quickly transform in front of Ava and my pack. “How did it happen?” I ask. My voice sounds like gravel from the bite in my shoulder and I can already feel myself heal.
“She challenged me and I killed her,” Ava said. She began to cry. I wrap my arms around her and shush her cries.
“Then by law you did nothing wrong. You defended herself and your pack.” I say reassuring her that she is safe.
I look over at the unconscious Alpha that caused all of this. I decided to snetnecne him to exile and that he loses his pack. I look over the horizon to see that the rest of the Enforcers in the armored car are headed this way.
Most of the beneficiaries that are getting out of the truck are werewolves that can no longer shift. So they are in charged of transporting criminals.
They notify me that Jacob will transferred to the Pitts until further noticed.
Ava tucks my arm over her shoulder as she helps me get dressed that way we can make our way to get our children.
