#Chapter 76:Storming the Front
(Elijah’s POV)
Despite the blockade between the worlds, the closing portals and the round the clock surveillance on my property I was able to bypast all of that and get the information needed.
I did not want to tire my mate out but her ability to open portals at any given moment was a blessing from the Moon Goddess.
With her will and determination we were able to contact and summon at least 3 hundred able body soldiers. She opened portals to several safe houses that I bought before Ava came to the mortal realm. Even though I was not prepping for a doomsday I did want to prepare just in case there was a huge number of werewolves that want to transfer to the human realm whether for temporary visit or permanent.
With permission from the Alpha that wanted to stay behind I was in command several packs to storm Syndicate threshold.
“We have everything needed to take on each stronghold. With Ava’s help every pack is close in position to attack on your command,” Lewis said as he looked over the maps in the living room.
Without realizing it we had turned my manor into a head quarters. In the living room there were maps of the area where the Syndicate made their bases. We had layouts scattered neatly on the table and pinned to the walls of each base and how the schedule was. That was thanks to a witch that they had employed but did not pay her the complete amount that was agreed on.
“This should aid us in getting them by surprise,” one of the Twins said as he was jumping up and down with glee. It was good to see that he was not upset that I separated him and his brother for their strengths. Even though they both worked diligently together I knew that having them with different areas would help cover more ground work.
“As long as we stick to every plan we should be able to knock all of the bases and the areas in the realm,” I said as I looked over all of the paperwork. Using the sources from my business and the resources from gather supplies I am able to keep every werewolf under my command ready for what is about to come.
“What do you need me to do,” I heard a small voice call out in front of me. I lifted my head to see my mate in a white tank top that showed her mating mark that stretched pass her shoulder and bicep. She wore camouflaged pants with black combat boots. Her wavy hair that had been down for the past few days was out of her face and tied up in a high ponytail.
“Why are you dressed like the rest of the soldiers,” I said afraid that I already know the answer.
“I am coming with you,” Ava said as she leaned forward studied the layouts.
“Absolutely not,” I growled.
“Elijah I am going and this is not up for debate.” Ava demanded. I closed my eyes thanking the Moon Goddess that most of the werewolves were already on their way to the first base. Everyone on this point was on standby waiting for Lewis and I to make our way there.
Without any further arguement I decided to use my Alpha Call on Ava and lull her to sleep.
I caught her in my arms before she hit the ground.
“I am sorry love, but I cannot have you there. You are a target right now to the Syndicate as well as the humans out there. You have to stay out of sight right now for our plan to be a success.
“So what now,” Lewis said as I laid Ava on the couch. “She would be helpful out of the field, Alpha.”
Although I knew that Lewis was right. Even though I knew that having Ava on the battle field would be a huge advantage for us; I could not risk it.
“Ava needs to stay here right now til it is safe. We can get by with information that the witch gave us,” I said.
“Would you take support from a witch that taught your mate everything she knows,” I turned to she Shanti sitting in my loveseat with her legs crossed. She wore a big smile on her face.
“How did you know,” Lewis said. I looked over at my comrade to see his eyes focused on the witch.
“Clairvoyance,” she said to him. “I had a premonition that you all might need back put since Ava can not be risked in the battle.
“Why would you help us,” I said. I knew that Ava spoke highly of Shanti, but I wanted to know her motive.
“To be honest I could careless about the humans killing of weres.” She said.
That made both of us growl.
“Let me finish. However seeing as my progeny and her offsprings are apart of my line now I do not want them to be harmed. I also know that once humans start coming after werewolves how is to say they won’t try to reenact the days of the Witch Hunt,” Shanti said. I could see her body shiver. I could smell her fear.
What she was stating was a huge possibility. Sooner or later all supernatural beings would be hunted.
“So you will take our Luna’s place,” Lewis said.
I looked at the witch for a moment before she rose to her feet.
“I will volunteer my magic in substitution for the Alpha’s mate. If you will have me,”Shanti said as she extended her hand out.
I quickly grasped her hands and shook it. I felt her power in our argument. She bond her promise with a spell. I could feel her magic pour into the room. It was peaceful. Shanti’s magic was swift and dangerous. I looked into her eyes and saw centuries of carnage that was between our races.
The enemy of my enemy is my brother in arms.
“Alright Shanti we welcome you to the cause,” I said as I began to pack up the necessities.
“Oh before we leave,” Shanti said smiling.
“What is it witch,” Lewis growled, but Shanti and I ignored it.
I knew that Lewis was fighting his wolf for command, but why I was not sure.
“I forgot to mention that there are other witches that are fans of your mate. And those witches want to lend a helping hand.”
I paused what I was doing and looked at my mate’s master.
“Where are they now,” I questioned.
“They are ready and waiting for the command of the ALpha leading the charge…with the rest of the wolves in position.”
I bent down and kissed my mate’s forehead as she rested. By the time we left for the first stronghold she would be awake but I asked Shanti to but a force field around the manor to shield her. Shanti also gave me an elixir that would hid my scent so Ava would not try searching for the packs.
If anything should happen to me I did not want our children to lose both of their parents. Ava was going to lead the pack just in case this plan did not work out. She was the cogency plan if and when everything went wrong.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw Shanti stand in front of me.
“Whatever doubts you have in your mind Alpha put them aside and think of your family all of them. You have come this far and done so much for the bridge between humans and werewolves. With you at the helm the Syndicate will fall, every last one of them.”
