#Chapter 78: Raiding the Syndicate

(Elijah’s POV)
I am sorry Ava.
As much as I wanted to have my mate help me lead the charge it would be a danger to her. I did not want to risk the plan because I was blinded by my need to have my mate at my side.
Alpha we are in position from the north part of the stronghold. I heard Grayson mindlink with me.
Grayson was at the rear of the charge with Doni as we began stormed the last front of the Syndicate’s threshold.
It looks like most of the humans that have occupied this base do not have strong enough supplies or weapons to put up much of a fight.
Doni was overly confident about the situation but I made sure that all of the soldiers on my end waited for my signal.
Area 12; it was the last Syndicate base in the human realm. We found out that there were at least seven in the human world and five in the werewolf realm. Many of the other Alphas that could not leave their territory had informed me that others were leading the attack on the based in the werewolf realm.
This increased our odds at victory with this update. Including the intel that the witches had gathered as well we had the element of surprise.
Everything is clear on my side, Alpha. And Ash mentioned that they are ready to attack to stronghold in Area #10.
While Ash was with the pack from the Full Moon pack Tiene stayed with us and the Harbingers. There were several former Golden Eye wolves that had swore alliance with Ava with us as well.
There seems to be no movement from any humans, however there does seem to be cages in the area that are holding werewolves. Most likely more test subjects for that Berzerker batch.
Lewis stayed in his human from to give recon to all of the wolves and witches that when in the vicinity.
With the witches giving cover it made it easy to launch the attack on the stronghold.
Shanti and her group are in position as well Alpha. Grayson added before he went silent.
I stood tall as I let out a ear shattering howl that let everyone know that we were attacking.
The charge from the wolves on all sides was swift and coordinated.
Leave no one alive. Leave nothing behind, and destroy all of the berzerker serum.
Every wolf and witch heard the mindlink and Lewis’s words in their intercoms. The plan was simple. Everything would be quick, we would make sure of it.
I saw a flash of lighting strike on the other side of the compound and I figured it was a witch powering up and being their attack.
Hell there is not one cloud in the sky. Ash sent everyone of the Harbingers a thought through the mindlink.
I heard his brother Tiene laugher at his double’s words.
FOcus you idiot. Grayson barked at one of the twins.
Yes sir! They both shouted in their minds.
My wolf Neptune could not help but chuckle himself.
They were are idiots. Lewis trotted to us.
I was handling several rogue wolves and a few humans that were in front of the chambers. I slammed into the smaller wolves and bit down on their shoulders. Some of them I slashed with my claws and bite down and let them bleed to death.
Even though they were traitors a quick death was a merciful death. Except for the hum,ans that hand kept our brothers in cages. Those were the real monsters.
I growled at the human in front of me holding a cattle prod in one hand and a whip in the other.
“Well Well Well,” he said testing the electrical current of the prod. “If it is not Alpha of teh pack.”
I growled at him as I readied myself for the attack.
“Oh we know all about you, Mr. Hollywood. My employer made it clear that we were going to make an example out of you.”
He cracked the whip and tried to grab my paw with it, but I was faster and more experienced.
WE are not going to paly with this insignificant insect. Neptune howled in my mind.
I leaped into the air away from his weapons and slammed down onto his body. I heard every bone in his body shatter under my weight. I huffed at the weapons that they all tried to use against us.
Report. I commanded to all the wolves in the area.
We have neutralized several rogues and humans.
Majority of the humans have died and the rogues have fallen.
We were able to get all of the captives out as well.
“Shanti and the other witches are readying a spell to destroy the base and leave no trace behind,” Lewis said in the communicators.
His word also echoed in minds of every wolf.
Head out that is an order. I commanded the lot. However as I turned to leave I saw something blocking my way out.
Someone was standing before me with the same prod that the dead man hand in his hand, but there was a difference.
I felt a shock run through my body and I heard the sound of a whip crack. I did not see the whip but the current shooting through my body caused unbelievable pain.
I howled and roared throughout the building.
Elijah!
Boss!
Alpha1
Do as you are commanded! Now!
The whip snapped back once before it release me. The person controlling the whip snapped it twice and the current of the electricity sent a chill through my core. The third time it cracked I was able to dodge it but the stranger had backed me into a corner.
I heard heavier breathing as the man walked towards me.
“I wanted to torment you but seeing that all the witches outside are destroying the building I have no choice but to leave you here. Hopefully your pretty little wolf is handling herself better than you,” he said as he turned to walk away.
Ava. Without hesitation I turned into my human from and stood tall behind him.
I quickly flashed in front of him. I could tell he did not expect me to recover that soon. Before he could react I grabbed his head wit hone hand and his neck with the other. I snapped his neck and crushed his skull without a second thought.
I was not going to let anyone threaten my mate. Not while i had breath in my lungs.
“Elijah you need to get out now,” Lewis shouted into the communicator in my ear. I had almost forgotten that I put it in my ear before I transformed.
I quickly shifted back into my wolf form and sped out of the desecrating building.
In my wolf form I felt Ava’s pain but there was little I could do about it. As Alpha I needed to believe that Ava was strong enough to fight whatever was in front of her.
She took down she-wolf that challenged her for dominance and her title. She held off her former mate until the Harbingers and I made it to the area. I know Ava was a strong enough LUNA to over come everything that was in front of her.
