#Chapter 81: The Silverling

AVA POV
Three Years Later
“Mommy look at me!”
“Mommy tell Luca to stop chasing me.” I cannot help but laugh at the site before me.
It has been three years since the Treaty of the Bridge has been signed. Elijah and Lt. Maverick signed the document while I gave my speech. My mate’s plan had worked out perfectly.
I am sitting on her deck watching my four children play. The twins Luca and Olivia are now three years old. Asher is now five years old and he was officially adopted by Elijah and I after the treaty was signed.
And I watch the newest addition to the family my littles girl Elena at the age of three running behind everyone. I had promised Sarah no more surprises. However I did not know that I was pregnant with Elena until the week after the war calmed down and ended.
Elijah had been laying down next to me. He held me and said I smelled different. And he said that he heard another heartbeat.
Nine months later the Moon Goddess blessed us with a beautiful girl. I still amazes us that she has a icy blue iris and a calm green iris, but we love her no matter what.
Elijah and I are now mates to one of the largest werewolf packs in the country. It is homed to several humans that are mated with wolves. I was quite surprised how so many wolves were mated with humans but I cannot say I am not happy. Grayson is mated to the human actress, Myllena. I still cannot believe that they hit it off so quickly. They are mated as well as married Myllena and Grayson wanted to keep up both traditions.
Asher and Luca were the ring bearers. Olivia was the flower girl. Elijah was Grayson’s best man and Sarah was Myllena’s maid of honor. I was happy to help plan the wedding with Myllena’s busy schedule.
Elijah told me that he knew that Lewis was avoiding Shanti after the battle with the Syndicate. Shanti was a bold witch she transported to the werewolf realm and told Lewis they were going on a date. Lewis and Shanti have been together since.
Since the treaty Elijah has been travelling more and more away from home. Elijah is away on business for both the Moon Entertainment Studios and the Wolf Pack of America.
As I relaxed in the chair I felt a pair of hands come behind me and shields my sight. I smile as I smell the scent of pine trees and smoky oak. It smells of him, my wolf rumbles and whines at the scent of our mate. I cannot help but smile.
“Tiene is that you,” I say with a giggle. WIth no hesitation I am lifted from my chair and brought in front of my mate.
“The twin really that is cruel even for you mate,” Elijah laughs.
I laugh along with him as he pulls me in for a kiss.
“Daddy is home,” Olivia yells. The four of them make a run to the porch.
“Dad is back,” Ash and Luca shout. It almost sounds like a roar.
“Daddi,” Elena yells as she tried to catch up with her siblings. When she is about to trip Ash picks her up and gives her a piggy back ride to us.
“Play with us, dad.”
“Yeah play with us dad.” Luca shouts.
“Please,” the girls beg.
Elijah kisses me on the cheek as he kicks off his dress shoes and jumps off the porch.
“I am going to get you,” he roars at the children. They shout with glee and yell as the run to the field.
“Mommy save us,” Olivia says as Elijah tosses her on his shoulders.
“Mom open a portal,” Luca laughs as he is brought into Elijah’s arms.
“Mom if you ever loved me open a portal and save us,” Ash says as he tries to dash out of his father’s reach.
The kids yelled and laugh as they roll around in the field with their father.
As I watches with a smile on my face I realize how lucky I am.
The life that I have built despite the obstacles have made every pain and tear worth it.
Leaving a mate that did not value me, “You are right. I have reconsidered our relationship.”
Only to find someone that shows me unconditional love from the moment I open my eyes to the time that I close my eyes.
Even though our relation was rocky at first.
“You are going to wrong direction .” He pointed and moved ahead of me. “The dressing room is that way in the opposite direction.
My face began to blush. The lie that I was spinning was not easily getting out of. “I was headed to the bathroom.
“It’s right up front,” he said dryly.
He showed me understanding and love even though I was afraid to be honest with him at times. I have become a strong mother and Luna. Despite my career I do not sacrifice my family.
I have a promising and growing career as an actor. I have several cameos in TV shows and appearances in movies. My fanbase is steadily growing. The last production wanted me to star if I would transform and do my own stunts. Both Sarah and Elijah declined the offer.
As I smile to my mate he makes his way back to the deck.
“Having fun,” I asked.
“I don’t know how they have this much energy,” Elijah said as he dropped in the chair next to me.
“Imagine how they will be when their powers and abilities blossom,” I said. I could see the disgruntle thoughts that my mate was having.
“Hopefully they will not show signs until maturity. But they show great potential, just like their mother,” he said looking into my eyes.
“I love you, Elijah.” I said as I leaned into him.
“I love you too, kitten. Letting you compete in the showcase was the best decision I ever did. YOu have given me four wonderful children. You achieved some that my father and I only dreamed.”
“What was that,” I asked.
“You became a bridge between mortals and supernatural beings. Not just werewolves and humans but witches too.”
“You gave me a chance and I have you to thank you keeping your promise to me,” I said as I kissed him.
We broke the kiss only because of the sounds that we heard in front of us.
“Ewwww.”
“That is so gross.”
“Daddy is kissing mommy.”
I giggled and laughed into Elijah’s shoulders. I could hear him in my mind complaining about me breaking our kiss.
Litte cockblockers.
Elijah!
He shrugged and kissed me on the lips.
“Ewwww.”
“Hey that is my wife and I have to share her with you lot. SO I get to kiss her as much as I want,” he said as he went back to chasing them.
“Come here,” he roared.
I laugh at the scene in front of me. I would not change or give it up for anything in the world. I am finally home and happy.
