#Chapter 80: Ceasing Fire

(Ava’s POV)
I took a deep breath as I turned to see the Twins Tiene and Ash extend their hands out to me. I tried to holding my laughter in as I saw them wearing suits and ties. I had been so use to cut shirts and damaged jeans I had hardly recognized their clean shaven attire.
“We know that Alpha Elijah cannot escort you inside but,” Ash started the conversation.
“Hopefully the two of us can be half the man that our Alpha is,” Tiene finished.
“May you gentlemen escort me inside,” I asked as I took both of their forearms and smiled at Elijah. While I was upset that he would not be with me during my speech I was glad I had so much support around me. On both sides. I did not look back at we headed towards the building I remembered what Elijah told me before we left the manor.
“When we get there whatever you do: Do not look back. It is a sign of weakness.”
I could feel Elijah’s eyes on me as the twins lead me into the building. The twins opened the door for me and we walked inside.
Words could not describe the feeling that I had walking in. My shoulders were tense. Public speaking had been a weakness of mine and I had stayed up for days leading up to the award ceremony. I did not expect to win but the company and Elijah had wanted me to practice just in case.
I sat behind the curtains as I heard someone announce me. I smile as I recognized the voice of the speaker: Sarah. I was glad to see that she still believed in me despite my secrecy.
“After weeks from being away from the public eye she is finally making her appearance for all to see: Ava,” I could hear Sarah announce me to the stand.
That’s the que, my Luna. I heard the twins communicate with me through mindlink. That and one of them gently elbowed me.
I could hear cheering and applauds from fans. After watching the news and videos on social media I knew that my fans were supporting me throughout the broadcast. The twins slowly stood up and headed to the curtain. Before I could blink I saw them hold the curtain open for me. I stepped out and saw all of the seats filled. Teens holding signs with my name on it. Others waving times to get my attention. I tried to make sure I was not crying at the sheer joy I felt.
When the twins made their way to the sides of the podium, I slowly walked up and stood in front of the the microphone.
“Good afternoon everyone. First I would like to thank you all for attending to this conference.”
“We love you AVA!”
I smiled at the moment that I lost concentration. “Thank you. Thank you all for the support. I know that it has been difficult for everyone with the events that have occurred.”
I looked at the crowd to the flashing lights and the blinking red dots. I took a deep breath.
Goddess give me strength.
“So before I go any further I would like make a confession to you all. My full name is Evelyn Pierce many of you like my mate have known me since I was a child actor. My stage name was the Little Aviator,” I paused when I heard a few gasps and claps.
“I thought you wold like to know a little about me.I am half werewolf but I am also half witch. That means that I am just as human as you all. I did not transform until I reached maturity and I recently found out about my wiccan lineage.”
When I did not hear any angry tones and shouting I unclenched my stomach and loosen my shoulders. I started to relax.
“Despite my background I have always been among humans. I lived here in the human world up until I was about fourteen and then I came back ten years later. I want to continue my journey as an actor and I wanted to be on the stage more than anything.
I meant no harm to anyone when I transformed during the award ceremony. Due to unseen circumstances I had to tell my secret to many that I hold near and dear. I hold all of you in my heart, because your support got me through the days.
There were days that I felt like I was in a living hell. I was afraid of everything from losing my family, my life here as well as the kindness that many of you have shown me. I don’t want anyone out there to think that I am a monster because I am not. Any blood that I have shed was and will always be to protect myself and my loved ones.
The reason why I injured that director all those years was due to the dark intentions and the pressure that he ut on me. I did not want to be put in a predicament that would make me someone’s prey. I have never been prey to anyone in this world or it the werewolf realm. When he assaulted me I defended myself.
And when it happed again with the producer and director BIg Brother, I was pressured to be someone that I am not. And when there was a second that I would have denied him, it resulted in him trying to blackmail me. Even though I did not physically harm Big Brother someone close to me showed him that I was not a plaything.
I have always wanted to act. That was something that I wanted to do since I sang in front of a crowd for my mother. I love the art of filming and I have dedicated myself to be there for my dreams and for all of you.
And I know that many of you will still fear werewolves, but I just want you to give us a chance to prove to you that we can live together in harmony.”
As I was finishing my speech I heard steady movement in front of the stage. I looked down to see red dots on my body. Soldiers had broken the treaty that Elijah and the Lt. had agreed to. I was too afraid to raise my hands.
Before I could think many of my fans stood in front of the soldiers with their signs.
“Don’t you dare touch Ava.”
“She is not our enemy.”
“Ava is a treasure to the werewolves and the humans.”
“Back the fuck off Lil Aviator.”
The last staement had the twins chuckling as the ushered me to the back of the stage.
“Those bastards must have entered from the back of the building.,” Ash said. He quickly grabbed me as Tiene put his jacket coat around me. I saw Sarah looking at the front from the curtain.
“Sarah,” I shouted as I tried to get her attention. She ran to me and enclosed her arms around me.
“Oh my Ava, I am so glad to see you. I have been a nervous wreck since you transformed,” Sarah said as she embraced me trightly.
“I am sorry that I warned you.”
“No more secrets do you hear me,” Sarah muttered as she refused to let me.”
“I promised,” I said trying not to laugh.
I saw Tiene grab his phone and anser it.
“Yes Alpha,” he answered. “Yes our Luna is safe and so is her agent. We will make sure that they both stays protected until then.”
I wiggled out of Sarah’s grasp. “Until what?” I questioned.
Ash looked at me and then his twin brother. Tiene shrugged. “We have to tell her if she asks.”
“Well the Lt., our Alpha are acting on behalf of the Alpha King and possibly the President. So hopefully because of your speech and how we dealt with the Syndicate they will have signed a treaty.”
“A treaty of peace,” I asked.
The twins shrugged at me. I heard the phone ring again. This time Ash answered his cellphone.
“Yello.”
I could hear muttering but nothing above a whisper.
“Alright ALpha if that is how you would like to proceed.” Ash hung up and turned to me.
“So what did he say.”
Ash looked at his brother and smiled. Tiene looked at both me and Sarah and gave us a smirk.
