#Chapter 57: A Heated Moment

AVA’s POV
I would be lying if I said the power Elijah radiated left me a shiver travel down my spine. The power of an Alpha gave mixed emotions to all under them and as a hormonal she-wolf I was having a hard time centering mine.
Focus Ava. Focus your anger not your desire…Easy said than done when it came to the man in front of me.
His question brought me back to reality.
“Who are you talking about,” the Alpha asked. I had noticed that Elijah was finally in control of himself and his wolf had settled down.
I was furious at the animal of a man for destroying my property. I was awestruck at the fact he could not see how manipulative Sissy was.
It was obvious to everyone around him, except Elijah of course.
“I mean you subordinate, Sissy. Ever since I met her she has been self proclaiming herself to be your future mate. She has been harassing me constantly. Hell she even started fabricating stories to get the other actors in the company to spite me.” I thought about when I walked in on Sissy telling Lily and her entourage that I was a home wrecker and cause a rift between her and Elijah.
“Why am I just now hearing about this,” he asked a growl vibrated in his chest. I could tell there was a cloud of judgement in his eyes.
I groaned and dropped into the nearest chair that to get comfortable. I stared at the fire and thought about Sissy and how she made it clear that she was with Elijah.
Stay away from Alpha Elijah he and I are destined to to be together.
That was what she proclaimed to me as if they were rivals. Maybe we were.
“I figured either you knew and did not want to hurt the poor girl’s feelings or you did not know and Sissy needed to be an adult and tell you for herself. Its none of my business what you do with the wolves of your tribe.”
I watched everything that Jacob had given me turn to ashes and I could not help but swallow my tears. On one hand I had a mate that disowned me and left me for another. I looked up at the angry Alpha staring down at me.
And then I have this man that has been nothing but kind to me.
“Elijah let me ask you something,” but then I stopped myself. I wanted to know I really did but…now was not the time.
“What,” he said.
“What is Sissy to you?”
His face darkened at when I changed the subject. “That’s the question you want to ask?” He slowly walked towards me and leaned forward. He bent his head down and cupped the side of my face with his hand.
“I want to know because I have dealt with a lot of bullshit form that girl and I want to know where do you stand with her?”
Elijah quickly dropped his hand from my face and sat next to me. His long arms draped on his knees as his gaze focused on the roaring fire in front of us.
“She is a member of my pack, Ava. I trust Sissy with my life. I don’t need to question her loyalties.” I noticed that tone and I did not care for it.
“And what does that mean,” I said jumping out of my seat turning to meet him square on. I should have known it was not the right thing to do but admittedly I could not care less.
“I trust Sissy, she has been nothing but professional and honest with me since I gave her the temporary permits. Yet I have you questioning my people when in fact you have done nothing but hide things from me since you came to this world.”
His tone spoke nothing but anger and mistrust in me. Not that I blamed him but I was here and I have been nothing but truthful since.
Mimicking his actions I leaned forward, putting my hands on both sides of his body that stayed seated. I looked deep into his eyes to see a flicker of darkness. I was challenging him and he was having a hard to keeping his wolf in check.
I knew this would have been the time to retreat but I couldn’t.
“I hid myself and what I was to you because I wanted to survive. That day I saw your tattoo I knew that I was doomed to die and I refuse. Don’t tell me you would not have done the same,” I shouted at the man in front of me.
My anger left my chest heaving. I could not handle rejection not again. “If you want me to leave say so…”
Elijah’s face turned to a grimace as he quickly grabbed my wrist and brought me in to his lap. Without hesitation his lips captured mine. I drank him in and I felt his hands grip my waist.
His mouth broke away from mine as his lips traveled down my body. My eyes fluttered by the pure ecstasy that craved his touch. I was straddling the Alpha that could at any moment, with one word end my life, but I felt no fear.
I rode the wave of power between us. I growled as I felt his teeth graze my collar. I let out a moan as his digits skim over my body. I could not help but cry out as he ground his bulge against my core. His hands reached the hem of my dress as me out of the fabric that began to constrict me. He lapped my neck with his tongue as I pulled his shirt from his slacks.
I was straddling him in nothing but my bra and panties. I could feel my wetness pooling into between my thighs. The heat of his touch erupted a fire in my core. I craved his touch. I wanted Elijah.
I tugged at his shirt and with one fluid motion every button fell to the floor. He stopped and looked at the floor of living room.
His clicked his tongue against my throat and tsked at my actions. “That was my favorite shirt.” I laughed at his response.
“We can always get you another one,” I said as I buried my face into his neck. I felt the rumble in his chest vibrate against me. I whimpered against his touch.
God this man did not know what he did to my body.
Then I heard Elijah sigh. That sound brought me down from my high and as I looked into his eyes I could see that Elijah was beginning to focus on rationality.
“Elijah….how do you feel about me..” I whispered. “Am I just a responsibility or a hinderance that you have to look after,”I said as I searched for the answer in his face.
In response his kissed my lips and lowered his head to my neck. He nuzzled his nose against me.
“That I should have done this months ago,” he answered. I kissed him back and pushed my hands through his unruly hair. I stopped when I saw his body go rigid.
“Ava I need to know if this is what you want.” Elijah said looking deep into my eyes.
I nodded with that Elijah slid his hand to my throat and pulled me closer to deepen the kiss. My mouth opened to let out a moan only to have Elijah push his tongue into my mouth to silence me.
I did not realize that he had lifted us up and started to walk us into the hallways and up the stairs. My breath hitched as I tightened my legs around his waist. I gasped as I felt him take a nip at my shoulder.
“Don’t worry. I am not going to drop you kitten,” he chuckled as he reached one of the bedrooms. He pushed the door open with his foot and set me down on the bed. Breaking away from the kiss we were both left speechless and gasping for air.
Every touch was like fire that slowly burned me. Every kiss that Elijah brushed against my skin left my dizzy from the attention. Elijah had lost his shirt as he settled his torso in between my thighs.
He left a trail of kissed from my neck to the hem of my panties. He hooked his thumbs on both sides of the fabric. Elijah smirked as he blew air at my slit. His fingers traced the juices that were pouring out of me.
I groaned as he slide his two digits into folds. As his rhythm of pumping in and out of me sent stars it my vision I felt his body leave mine. As I lifted myself up using my forearms to see Elijah stepping out of his slacks.
My eyes grew into saucers seeing that he was already completely nude in front of me. Words could not describe the beauty and power I felt staring at his figure. Years of fighting and training left scars and marks trailing across his body.
The tattoo of his pack illuminated in the moon light. What use to bring terror in thoughts not left me dripping in a feral desire that I never knew existed.
