#Chapter 30: Nightmares and Memories

AVA
By the time the shoot ended I was tired. Everything during the shooting worked out great, besides catching a heatstroke. I did not know one could even catch a heatstroke at night.
As I made my way into the bedroom I heard a notification for a text message.
I should really personalize the text messages so I can know what I should ignore and what to answer. But as I looked up from my pillow I saw that it was none other than Elijah that sent the message.
Elijah was notifying me that his business trip was almost finished and that he would be arriving back to town tomorrow evening.
[SMS from Elijah👿] If you don’t mind I still need Eyolf and Connor looked after until I get home.
[SMS to Elijah 👿] Sure no problem
[SMS from Elijah 👿 ] You can stay the night still if need be.
[SMS to Elijah 👿] Thanks I really appreciate that boss.
I went to put my phone up but I found there was more to the conversation. The words following were phrases I dreaded hearing from anyone.
[SMS from Elijah 👿] When I get back into town I would like to discuss some things with you.
Nothing good came from needing to talk with someone. But I put that out of my mind, it was something to worry about when Elijah came back. I flopped down on my bed more exhausted that I have ever been.
I could not place it but it felt like my body was fighting against me every step of the way. I had been feeling miserable since I used the call of the Luna. I cannot place these feelings but it was like my body and mind were constantly foggy.
I went to sleep or at least tried to be able to get through the next day of shooting.
The dizzy spells I was suffering from had a dance partner now called vertigo. I could still remember todays scene that I had to ask for a minute because I was sweating so badly.
The director stopped the shooting when he noticed that I was starting to sway back and forth.
“Cut! Ava, honey, I think you need to take a break. You do not look so good.” The director stated.
“Thanks.” I said as Sally helped my to my dressing room.
“We can shoot the rest of your scene tomorrow since you with be here al day tomorrow. That work for you.”
I smile and reassured him.
“Of course that will be perfect.”
Sally was starting to ragged on me as we made it to the dressing room.
“Ava,” Sally said as she sat down with me in the dressing room. Shows what she did not know. The entire shoot I was feeling horrible but I powered through it. I knew that after this scene I would be finished and I would be able to go home, but the director noticed me suffering from vertigo.
“Yeah,” I said almost out of breath.
“You need to take better care of yourself. Your actions could effect everyone as a whole. Not just you but the production of the film as well as Moon Entertainment.”
As if I did not know that. I left out a deep sigh as I put the cold compress to the back of my neck. Her lecturing was really starting to give me a headache.
“I know. I know. I am trying.” I said. I felt defeated.
I would be able to keep myself in good condition if I could get a decent amount of sleep. Hell if I could get any sleep I would be satisfied. Last night my dreams turned violent worse than anything I felt in my life.
From what I remembered Jacob and I had been talking or at least he was talking. I could not get a word in, it was like every time I opened my mouth nothing came out.
“I really enjoyed the time we have spent together, you do know that right?”
“Why are you talking like we are breaking up…” At least that was what I wanted to say.
“Ava I feel like the Moon Goddess has given me another chance. Well she has given us both another chance to be happy.”
“What are you talking about?” I still could not speak. I wanted to scream at this man.
“Ava ….as you know Alex came back to the pack. I welcomed her back into the fold.”
“I thought she was labelled a traitor. You told me that!” But the absent of my voice gave Jacob courage to pursue further.
“She gave me a son Ava, you could understand that right. I need a heir to continue the future generation of this pack. She is what is good for this pack. For me….”
He was asking me if I was okay with stepping down from my role as Luna and giving it to Alex. Still I could not speak. He took it as my acceptance and Alex came out of nowhere holding a child.
Jacob kissed Alex in front of me and grabbed their child.
“We are very happy together and the child that came from our union is proof that the Moon Goddess can be wrong at times.”
He told me that I could never give him a child and there was no need for me.
“Can someone please escort this whore out of my sight.” Alex called for the runners of the pack to seize me and take me out of the territory.
I tried to plead with everyone that came out of the shadows, but none of them said one word to me.
“So long, Ava. Hope you survive long enough to make it to the next pack.” Alex smiled. I wanted to hit this tramp. She spread her legs for a mated man and no one blinked twice at the betrayal.
“Even if she does they will kill her on sight. She is a rogue now. No one will have her.” Jacob says as he ushered his new family into the house he and I built together.
I kicked. I screamed but no words escaped me lips. I was labelled as a rogue and left in No Man’s Land to die. I screamed myself awake only to sob relentlessly into my pillow. I was over Jacob but I is still plague with horrid dreams.
These nightmares were effecting me to no end.
