Chapter 287 The Watson Family Drove Away the Cash Cow!

Jasmine shook her head firmly. "No way, not in a million years!"

Everyone in the Watson family felt the same.

Even if the world turned upside down, they wouldn't ask William to come back.

It was just unthinkable.

Why would they stoop so low for someone they considered a nobody? It made no sense.

Don't try to spin me some rags-to-riches story—William's not part of that narrative.

Over the past few months, they'd all seen what he was really like.

Whether it was his character, smarts, how he handled things, or his overall capability, William just didn't cut it.

Without the Watson family's connections and resources, his future would be pretty average at best.

Maybe he could scrape by in the regular world, but to make it in high society? No way.

To put it bluntly, his achievements wouldn't even come close to Jasmine's; he'd always be left in the dust.

Even with the Watson family's backing, he couldn't make it. Without it, he had no shot.

Eugene scoffed, "Relax, that's never gonna happen! The only thing possible is you begging to come back to my family!"

Under the watchful eyes of the Watson family, the car slowly drove away from Watson Mansion.

"Ha ha!"

William was finally gone.

The Watson family erupted in cheers.

Everyone's faces lit up with relief, like a huge weight had been lifted.

To them, William's departure was like sweeping away bad luck, and now the family could flourish.

Little did they know, the Watson family's high status in Starlight City's elite circles was all thanks to William.

In fact, Fiona's contribution was less than five percent.

They never imagined that the person they kicked out was actually their "golden goose."

Just then, Fiona came out.

The celebrations stopped abruptly.

"I know you're all happy William's gone, but let's not get carried away."

Fiona's face was stern.

"Mom, don't be sad. You'll see William again."

Jasmine tried to comfort her.

Fiona looked surprised. "What? See him again?"

Jasmine chuckled. "Mom, do you really think William will leave Starlight City for good? He'll come back. You don't know him like I do."

Fiona paused. "Well..."

Jasmine had a point.

Even though William left Watson Mansion, he was still in Starlight City.

If he had the guts to venture out, he wouldn't have come here in the first place.

So, there was a chance they'd meet again.

If he ran into trouble, she would help, as long as he didn't cling too much.

Jasmine smirked. "Not only that, but I'll know where he goes."

"And he took the bank card too!"

Fiona wasn't surprised he took the money.

William might talk tough, but deep down, he was practical.

"He's just a small fry, no need to waste time on him."

Jasmine waved her hand dismissively, signaling everyone to disperse.

As the car exited Watson Mansion's gates, the driver spoke, his tone cold. "Where to?"

The driver, Bob Woods, was Fiona's personal chauffeur, and William knew him.

In the past, Bob always called him "Mr. Davis."

But now, his expression was indifferent, and there was no respect in his eyes.

"Take me here."

William handed him a piece of paper with Kieran's address on it.

Bob glanced at it, his brow furrowing. "That far? No way! Get out, find your own ride. I'm out of gas."

William looked up at him.

Bob snorted. "What are you looking at? Do I need to throw you out myself? You're not Ms. Fisher's godson anymore."
