Chapter 90 Then I'll marry William
Jasmine's face was ice-cold. "This is what I want. But just so we're clear, I'm the one who turned you down, not the other way around."
Suddenly, Delia interjected, "Mr. and Mrs. Watson, if Jasmine doesn't want to marry William, then I will!"
Everyone's jaws hit the floor.
Delia was always the good girl, still in school and all. But how could she say something like that?
Fiona started to freak out. 'See, even Delia knows how great William is. Jasmine, if you don't act fast, William's gonna be snatched away.'
William was just as shocked. Was Delia being serious?
Jasmine snapped, "Delia, have you lost your mind? How can you say that?"
Delia grinned. "Jasmine, I'm dead serious. After spending time with William, I think he's super handsome and charming. I really like him, and I'm down to marry him."
Eugene thought it was a good idea to have Delia take Jasmine's place, as it would satisfy Fiona and also benefit Jasmine.
But Jasmine just laughed.
William was kinda handsome. But in high society, looks didn't mean squat.
Jasmine tried to talk some sense into Delia, "Don't be silly. You're too young to understand. Being handsome doesn't count for much."
Jasmine didn't take it seriously at all.
With their limited experience as students, they judged outstanding people based on superficial qualities like good looks, some money, and good grades.
When they entered society, they realized that what they had once firmly believed in at school was insignificant, especially in their upper-class circles. Only students like Delia were easily fooled by William and thought he was great.
Delia's eyes flashed with determination. "No, I think William is amazing. I want to marry him."
Jasmine kept trying to convince her, "You just haven't seen enough of the world. When you do, you'll see that looks don't matter. He's not a match for you at all. You're great in every way. Ms. Grayson has a big career. I heard your dad's a big shot in Sunview City. And William, besides being my mom's godson, he's got nothing special. No skills. He's not a good match for you."
Delia shook her head. "I don't care. I just want to marry William."
Fiona quickly stepped in. If this kept going, they'd start fighting. "Delia, you can't be rash about this. You need your parents' consent."
"And you, William is very excellent, why can't you see that?" Fiona then turned to Jasmine.
Jasmine sneered, "No matter how excellent he is, I won't marry him. And neither will Delia."
Fiona was at a loss; this had to be put on hold for now.
This suggestion left everyone unhappy. But before leaving, Craig and the others kept reminding Eugene.
After that, Eugene seemed like a different person, always trying to please Fiona, and even treating William much better.
Eugene's intentions were clear.
The whole Watson family now had one goal—to meet the owner of Hope Pharmaceutical as soon as possible.
In the evening, Eugene was still curious. "Fiona, who exactly is the owner of Hope Pharmaceutical? Can you tell me first?"
Fiona was speechless. "You'll know soon enough."
"Really?" Hearing there was hope, Eugene got super excited and couldn't wait.
Then, Fiona knocked on William's room door. "William, come out for a sec."
When William came out, he asked, "Fiona, what's up?"
