Eugene really didn't want William hanging around Fiona.

Fiona said, "Alright, let's see if we can find him a decent job."
Jasmine scoffed, "A decent job for William? The best he could do is be a security guard or a janitor. He has no education and no skills. What kind of job could he possibly get?"
"Well..." Fiona wanted to argue, but they weren't entirely wrong.
Based on William's current performance, he didn't seem very capable.
Eugene said anxiously, "We need to find something; we can't let him stay by your side all the time."
When William came back, Fiona told him about the job situation.
William smiled, "Fiona, I don't need a job. You can support me."
But Fiona shook her head. "No way. A grown man can't be idle. If you don't get a job, I'll be very upset."
William had a headache. He wasn't exactly free right now; he was busy looking for Eden, tracking down his enemies, and finding a way to suppress the Fire Venom.
But if he didn't listen to Fiona, she would probably nag him endlessly, causing a lot of trouble.
William compromised, "Alright, you can arrange a job for me."

Victor said, "No, it's the Jones family."
William asked, "The Jones family is after the ancient prescription?"
Whoever dared to target Fiona's ancient prescription was asking for death.
