Chapter 95 Clues of Eden in Sunview City
Eugene really didn't want William hanging around Fiona.
He couldn't forget how William had strutted around like he owned the place yesterday.
The Watson family didn't need some outsider butting into their business.
But Fiona thought Eugene had a point; she mainly wanted to train William up so he could work for her in the future, maybe even take over her role.
Fiona said, "Alright, let's see if we can find him a decent job."
Jasmine scoffed, "A decent job for William? The best he could do is be a security guard or a janitor. He has no education and no skills. What kind of job could he possibly get?"
"Well..." Fiona wanted to argue, but they weren't entirely wrong.
Based on William's current performance, he didn't seem very capable.
Eugene said anxiously, "We need to find something; we can't let him stay by your side all the time."
When William came back, Fiona told him about the job situation.
William smiled, "Fiona, I don't need a job. You can support me."
But Fiona shook her head. "No way. A grown man can't be idle. If you don't get a job, I'll be very upset."
William had a headache. He wasn't exactly free right now; he was busy looking for Eden, tracking down his enemies, and finding a way to suppress the Fire Venom.
But if he didn't listen to Fiona, she would probably nag him endlessly, causing a lot of trouble.
William compromised, "Alright, you can arrange a job for me."
William could use this to appease Fiona; otherwise, if she found out he was looking for Eden and his enemies, she would definitely try to stop him.
In the evening, William was strolling around Serenade Villa, with Sienna following behind him.
Sienna reported the situation, "Mr. Davis, Mr. Robinson is currently investigating in Sunview City. There are many clues in Sunview City. For instance, after your mother left Starlight City, she went south to Sunview City. Also, the forces that injured your mother in Starlight City are from Sunview City."
"Mr. Robinson is still investigating the specifics," Sienna added.
William said, "Alright, I understand. You can leave now; I'll walk around by myself."
William started muttering, "Sunview City. Is Mom alive or dead? It's been twenty years. What secret does this ring hold?"
William touched the ring, examining it closely. He had studied it for a long time but couldn't find anything unusual about it.
At this moment, the Crimson Brothers and Victor came running.
Victor said, "Mr. Davis, something terrible has happened."
William frowned. "Why are you all in such a panic?"
Victor replied, "Because of the ancient prescription, many people are targeting Hope Pharmaceutical!"
William smiled. "Are you talking about the Merchants' Guild of Shadows?"
Victor said, "No, it's the Jones family."
William asked, "The Jones family is after the ancient prescription?"
Whoever dared to target Fiona's ancient prescription was asking for death.
Victor shook his head. "No, that's not it. The Jones family is targeting you. They heard that someone at Hope Pharmaceutical has improved the ancient prescriptions for the Sedative Pill and Scar Removal Cream, and Cameron is very interested in you. So he wants to meet you."
William laughed. "He just wants to meet me. How is that a big deal?"
Victor added, "But the Jones family wants you to see them immediately."
Nathan chimed in, "Yes, the Jones family notified us, asking you to go see them right away and explain how you improved the ancient prescriptions and reveal your identity to the Jones family."
Jacob said, "They also said this is an opportunity for you. If Cameron sees potential in you, he might even take you as his student. This is the biggest opportunity of your life."
They relayed the Jones family's arrogant words to William.
Feeling the sudden drop in temperature around them, they realized they weren't wrong—this was indeed a big deal.
For everyone else in Starlight City, even the top elites, receiving an invitation from the Jones family was such an honor that they eagerly went.
