Chapter 93 Slapping the Face of the Merchants' Guild of Shadows
Gabriel started breaking it down, "Look, the Merchants' Guild of Shadows is into everything. But they've never really touched the medical field. This is your shot. The Guild's got your back. Push Hope Pharmaceutical into Sunview City. Don't just stick to Starlight City. You'll be rolling in fame and cash."
Alice grinned. "Think about it, can Hope Pharmaceutical really keep those three ancient formulas safe? Big players are already circling. Joining us is your best bet."
Fiona almost laughed out loud.
Those ancient formulas were definitely going to attract a lot of attention.
But the first ones to try and snatch them were the Merchants' Guild of Shadows.
They were just a bunch of thieves.
William couldn't hold it in anymore and said, "Aren't you just trying to steal the ancient formulas? Acting all high and mighty. Do you really think you're the good guys?"
Alice snapped, "Who are you? Do you even have a right to speak here? What makes you think you can talk? Even she barely has the right to talk to us!"
As members of the Merchants' Guild of Shadows, they were definitely full of themselves, especially since they were close to the Brown family.
Corey was the top dog in Starlight City. He didn't even take Aaron seriously.
Now, William, a nobody, had interrupted, and they were really pissed off.
Fiona quickly said, "Sorry, this is my godson."
Alice shot back, "Fiona, if you can't even control your godson, how can you run the company? Do you even know your place? Does he have the right to be here? The Merchants' Guild of Shadows coming to see you is a blessing, got it?"
Fiona looked at William and said, "I actually think he's right. Aren't you just after the ancient formulas?"
Alice immediately got mad, "Fiona, you need to understand that letting Hope Pharmaceutical join the Merchants' Guild of Shadows is a blessing for you. Don't push it."
The other two suddenly stood up.
William didn't say a word, stepped forward, and slapped Alice across the face.
The sound echoed through the office.
Alice's cheek split open and swelled up fast, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.
William was holding back. If he had used a bit of Martial Arts Power, he could have easily taken her head off.
Alice started crying loudly.
William's eyes were fierce. "Who gave you the nerve to talk to Fiona like that?"
"You..." Alice tried to act tough, but William slapped her left cheek again.
Soon, her face was a swollen, bloody mess, completely disfigured.
Jared shouted, "How dare you! Do you know what you're doing? You're hitting a member of the Merchants' Guild of Shadows! That's like declaring war on the Guild!"
Gabriel chimed in, "Fiona, you and Hope Pharmaceutical are done for! There's no good end to messing with the Merchants' Guild of Shadows!"
Hearing this, Fiona's body trembled. She couldn't afford to mess with the Merchants' Guild of Shadows.
But William's lips curled up, and he suddenly went off, slapping Jared and Gabriel's faces until they were covered in blood, almost caving in.
William said coldly, "Yeah, I'm provoking the Merchants' Guild of Shadows. So what?"
Jared still tried to threaten, but William slapped him again.
Jared was sent flying, crashing hard into the wall.
