Chapter 97 The Ravenous Wolf Legion
The Jones family strutted around like they owned the place, heads held high like a bunch of proud peacocks.
And why not? Cameron's credentials were off the charts.
Even in Sunview City, where medical geniuses were a dime a dozen, everyone had to give Cameron his due respect.
"No matter what, you gotta drag that clueless kid here to see me. And he better beg for mercy before I even think about forgiving him!" Cameron barked, leaning on his granddaughter Amelia Jones as they left.
Darren yelled, "You hear that? My dad's pissed. Go tell Victor and the others to bring that guy here. Only then will my dad let it slide."
They nodded, "Got it."
Just then, the Jones family butler chimed in, "By the way, Mr. Jones, I heard Hope Pharmaceutical is now run by Fiona. We could give her a heads-up."
Darren, looking icy, said, "Fine, get Fiona on the phone. I'll handle this myself."
The call connected quickly, and a voice answered, "Hello, who is this?"
Darren replied, "Darren from the Jones family."
Fiona on the other end was clearly shocked, her breathing quickened.
The Jones family was a big deal in this city, and she knew exactly why they were calling.
Darren continued, "Just a heads-up. Don't freak out. We're not after the three ancient prescriptions, but the guy behind you. Get him to my house ASAP. My dad wants to see him. He better take this chance, got it?"
After Darren's high-handed warning, he hung up.
Fiona started to shake.
The mess from the three ancient prescriptions was getting out of hand.
First, it was the Merchants' Guild of Shadows, and now the Jones family, both top-tier forces in Starlight City.
The Jones family wanted William, and she knew they were curious about how he improved the ancient prescriptions.
But it wasn't William who did it.
If William went there, the truth would come out.
William noticed Fiona's odd behavior and asked, "Fiona, what's up?"
Fiona hesitated but finally said, "William, the Jones family just called. They want you to see Cameron."
William said calmly, "Oh, Nathan and Jacob already told me. Don't worry, I'll handle it."
Fiona nodded. "Alright."
William got the Jones family's warning but didn't care at all. To him, the Jones family was like ants on the ground. He couldn't even be bothered to step on them.
The Jones family waited for William, but he neither showed up nor sent any word.
Darren sneered, "Fine. Let's see how long you can keep this up."
"We can wait, but when we run out of patience, you're in for it."
Others chimed in, "Don't worry, Mr. Jones. Once he gets a taste of the Jones family's power, he'll come crawling for forgiveness."
"Yeah, he probably doesn't know what we're capable of yet, so he's not scared."
Fiona was still stressed, trying to figure out how to handle this mess.
When Eugene came back, he was all excited, "I've got great news. My buddy Colin is coming to Starlight City."
Fiona asked, "The one from Sunview City?"
Eugene nodded eagerly. "Yeah. He's doing just as well as I am in Sunview City. And get this, his son Adrian got picked for The Ravenous Wolf Legion."
Jasmine's eyes lit up. "The Ravenous Wolf Legion, one of the nine armies of Eldoria?"
