Chapter 87 Your Apology Lacks Sincerity

Derek and Gordon were practically groveling at Fiona's feet, begging for her forgiveness. "Fiona, we messed up big time. We were idiots. We're really sorry."

The Watson family had no shame, seriously. They'd do anything to keep Fiona around, even if it meant totally humiliating themselves.

Craig chimed in, "Fiona, is this enough? I'll go back and give them a piece of my mind."

But then William's voice cut through the air. "Not even close. Do you have any idea how much she's been hurting because of your divorce talk? She's been crying every day."

William stepped up and slapped Derek and Gordon across the face, hard. The sound echoed, leaving everyone in shock.

Derek and Gordon clenched their teeth, their faces contorted with anger.

William turned to Fiona. "Fiona, I'm teaching them a lesson. Otherwise, they'll just keep pushing you around."

Their veins were practically popping out of their heads as they glared at William. Derek yelled, "William!"

They looked like they wanted to kill him.

"What's the problem?" William kicked Derek and Gordon in the legs, making them collapse to the ground.

They wanted to lash out, but with Fiona watching, they held back.

William shot a look at Craig. "All you can do is mumble a few apologies?"

William knew these two were just the fall guys. But he couldn't go after Craig directly, so he had to make an example out of them.

Craig gritted his teeth and said to Derek and Gordon, "You apologize to Fiona properly! And then you make it up to her with a gift!"

The Watson family hated William's guts, but they couldn't do anything about it.

Derek and Gordon had no choice but to apologize again. Derek said, "Fiona, we're really sorry. We'll get you a proper apology gift soon!"

Gordon echoed, "Yes, Fiona, we're sorry. We'll make it up to you with a proper apology gift another day!"

Megan asked, "Fiona, is that enough?"

Fiona nodded. "It's enough. The divorce talk is over. Don't bring it up again."

Craig finally cracked a smile. "Alright, Fiona, let's talk about other stuff at home. Come on, let's go."

But William wasn't done. "Hold up, that was just about the divorce. You still haven't dealt with kicking her out."

Jasmine was fuming. "William, what are you getting at? I can't stand you!"

Craig said, "William, we've put up with you long enough! Don't push it!"

Fiona stepped in, "William's right. If you want me back, you have to meet my conditions. Unless you don't want me back."

As soon as Fiona spoke, the Watson family backed down.

Megan quickly said, "Fiona, of course we want you back."

But Craig was torn.

Fiona's condition for coming back was for Craig to personally apologize to her.

If he really apologized and word got out, how would people in Starlight City see him? It'd be a huge embarrassment.

But Fiona was now a big shot at Hope Pharmaceutical, someone who could save the Watson family.

If the Watson family teamed up with Hope Pharmaceutical, their status would skyrocket.

In the future, he could be one of the top dogs in Starlight City.

Craig asked, "Fiona, how about we apologize at home? There are too many people here."

Fiona hesitated, but William was firm. "No way, a real apology doesn't care about the place."

Craig wanted to rip William apart, but he held back. Fiona had to come back.

Craig shouted, "Alright! Everyone in the Watson family, apologize to Fiona with me!"

Even though no one wanted to, especially Megan, they did as Craig said.

Megan felt it was super embarrassing to apologize to Fiona with so many people watching.

But Craig dragged her over anyway.
