Chapter 76 The Supreme Card of Rose Bank
Fiona shot a look at Jasmine. "Jasmine, if you still see me as your mom, you gotta cover the bill. Think of it as a loan."
Jasmine sighed, feeling cornered. With Fiona putting it that way, she had no choice but to agree.
She shot daggers at William. "This is all your fault!"
Just as Jasmine was about to pay, William cut in, "No need, I'll handle it."
He handed the staff a sleek black card.
He didn't really know how much was on it. To him, money was just a bunch of numbers.
But Bradley had mentioned that the card had enough to buy a small country.
The staff's eyes widened; she'd never seen a card like that before.
"Sir, please wait a moment." She took the card and hurried to the manager's office.
The manager was floored. "This is the highest-level premium card issued by Rose Bank under Rose Corporation! To qualify for this card, an individual must have an annual deposit of at least $7 billion. There are fewer than ten of these cards in the entire world!"
The manager rushed out to personally handle the transaction.
William waved the card. "All set, I paid."
Jasmine scoffed. "What's with the attitude? It's just $26,000. I bet there's not much on that card."
The manager and the staff nearly fainted.
They were in shock. 'That's not $26,000. It's more than $2.6 billion, maybe even more.'
Jasmine pleaded, "Mom, why are you doing this? Just come back with me!"
William laid down two conditions. "If you want her back, the Watson family has to apologize first, and then personally invite her back. The whole Watson family, including your grandparents."
Jasmine snapped, "William, this is our family business. What does it have to do with you?"
Fiona chimed in, "William's got the same stance as me."
Jasmine told everyone at the Watson Mansion about running into Fiona at the mall.
Craig and Megan were livid. "Unbelievable! Eugene, what have you turned Fiona into? She wants us to apologize and personally invite her back? No way!"
Eugene hung his head, silent.
Jasmine pouted. "Actually, this is all William's idea."
Derek said, "Mom, Dad, but if Fiona doesn't come back, we won't get Rose Corporation's investment."
Craig and Megan were firm. "Us apologizing to Fiona? And personally inviting her back? No way! I don't believe our Watson family can't survive without her!"
After cooling down, they discussed and told Eugene, "Eugene, you handle this. If she really won't come back, then ask for a divorce. I don't believe she'd divorce you for William!"
Eugene was stunned. "Mom, Dad, isn't that too much?"
Craig shot back, "What's too much about it? Desperate times call for desperate measures! She's crucial to our family's future. If you don't push her, will she come back?"
Eugene's face hardened, and he nodded. "Alright, I'll give it a shot."
Soon, Eugene called Fiona. "Fiona, can you be reasonable? I'm under a lot of pressure here. You're my wife. Everyone in the family looks down on me and criticizes me for being afraid of you. And now you want my parents to apologize to you? Are you nuts? Please come back, I'm begging you!"
Fiona sneered, "I'm not coming back for now. Unless you all apologize and invite me back."
