Chapter 294 Who Says I Can't Make Decisions?
"You won't even get the chance to clean toilets anymore!"
Eva was furious, too. Surely they could fire two freeloaders?
"What?" Kieran's family panicked.
This was the job they depended on to survive! If they got fired, the couple would have to go back to running a street breakfast stall. The key issue was that William had helped them get this job in the first place, and now that he'd been kicked out himself, there was no one left to speak up for them.
"Managers, we were wrong! We really didn't know he never went to school! We won't trouble you to find him work anymore, please forgive us!"
The Ward couple began pleading in low voices.
Never mind not being able to arrange work for William. If they lost their own jobs too, it would be complete ruin.
Jessica glared at William furiously, wanting nothing more than to rush over and slap him. This was all his fault!
She was so angry that tears started falling. "William, do you see what you've done? You've only been at my house a few hours, and you've turned it into this mess! Just get lost!"
Seeing the Ward couple about to kneel down, William quickly pulled them up. "Mr. Ward, Mrs. Ward, get up, you don't need to beg them!"
"Mr. Ward, Mrs. Ward, there's something I got wrong from the start!"
His voice was firm. Originally, he'd just wanted the Ward couple to live a simple, comfortable life, something easier to adjust to. But now he could see they weren't comfortable at all. Instead, they were being bullied and mistreated at the company. In this environment, they were still the vulnerable ones, facing even more contempt and mockery.
If that was the case, he might as well have given them a top-tier, wealthy lifestyle from the beginning, put them up high where no one would dare bully them! They might not adjust at first, but they'd get used to it eventually. After all, how hard could it be to get used to living rich?
The Ward couple looked miserable. "William, we can't lose this job, and you're not in charge anymore!"
William smiled. "Who says I'm not in charge?"
He turned to the two managers, his tone icy. "You two are fired. Get out of Starlight City now!"
Jessica completely lost it, screaming, "William, are you sick in the head? Not only are you illiterate, you still think you're Fiona's godson? You think you're still the Watson family's godson? No! You're not! You've been kicked out by the Watson family! You're a worthless piece of trash!"
"And you dare fire two managers? You're a complete idiot!"
Eva and Levi's faces darkened to the extreme, some punk kid trying to fire them? Absolutely ridiculous!
"Kieran, is this kid sick or something? Did you bring an idiot to the company? Trying to fire us? Let me tell you. You're the ones out of a job!"
The Ward couple were almost on their knees, but William held them firmly.
"Mr. Ward, Mrs. Ward, don't panic. With me here, they're the ones getting fired!"
But no one believed him. He'd already been kicked out by the Watson family and had nothing to do with Fiona anymore. Who would care what he said? It was impossible!
The two managers stared at William like he was an idiot. "Do you know who we are? We work for Cody Welch, the CEO of Oceanview Corp, and Mr. Welch is a trusted aide of Anna, Aaron's granddaughter! You're firing us? With what?"
Levi sneered. "This is hilarious! Who exactly do you think you're firing?"
William didn't hesitate. "I'm firing you two!"
Just then, a voice boomed through the room like thunder.
The private dining room door was knocked flat to the ground as a group of people burst in from outside.
