Chapter 102

Aiden actually kept his mouth shut, even though his mother looked quite happy after spending time with Samantha, he still didn't want to comment. Moreover, Samantha seemed reluctant to immediately leave her apartment. 

"Auntie, excuse me. See you?" Samantha said as she headed for the door. Samantha glanced at Aiden who didn't seem to care at all. 

"Aiden, take Samantha to the front. Where have you been?" asked Mrs. Emila. With a heavy heart, Leo walked Samantha to the door and hoped that she could leave soon. 

"Where have you been?" she asked. As Leo had expected, this woman would definitely come back to interrogate him like an investigator. 

"Do I always have to tell you where I go?" 

"Yeah, I think that's natural since you're my lover!" 

"Sam, please listen! Do you have no dignity as a woman? I already told you that we have nothing to do with it anymore!" 

"Oh yeah? Who decided that? You're wrong for deciding something without my approval and I can never accept it!" 

"Aren't you tired of pretending like this?" 

"No! because the more you avoid me, the harder I will chase you. I will prove to you that no one will love you like I do!" 

"Is it true?" 

"Yes, so please watch for yourself when the woman you love leaves you and that's when you will regret for ignoring me!" 

"Ok, I'll watch it!" 

After this confrontation ended, Samantha decided to leave, having left a final ultimatum that made Aiden even more wary. She wouldn't give up until the end and he realized how strong Samantha was in achieving her ambitions. 

He remembered what Nina had said today, a sentence that somehow made him sure that his feelings were not wrong, he believed that he had chosen the right woman.

Nina can't stop smiling broadly since she got an email from a TV station that accepts her as an internship as a crew for one of the shows for the next three months. It felt like a dream that had finally come true and what he had to do was mentally prepare himself to undergo training as part of a big industry. 

Today she will prove herself worthy. She woke up two hours early to prepare clothes, shoes and things she had to bring. She didn't want to leave a bad impression like what happened two days ago in front of the elevator. 

"Wow...well, you seem very excited, huh?" Said Courtney sarcastically. It was still 7.15am and he hadn't even showered yet. 

"Today is the day when my path to become a successful person is wide open, so I don't want to waste this golden opportunity!" 

"Oh yeah? But I'm still curious, who wants to spend that much money to spend on you? Why don't you just be honest if you already have a boyfriend?" Courtney protested. For some reason she really hates being made curious like this because she feels that Nina is already one step ahead of her in getting an established and royal man. 

Jennifer, who had just come out of the bathroom, immediately felt a magnetic force that pulled her so strongly into the midst of this morning's hot conversation. 

"Hey, what's going on? What are you guys talking about?" Jennifer asked, standing on tiptoe so she could peek at Nina's messy room. 

"You know, yesterday she was shopping for branded goods, you don't wonder how this miser managed to shop that much?" Asked Courtney who tried to provoke Jennifer so they could unite to corner Nina. 

Nina who didn't seem to care, was still busy looking at the mirror that reflected her in her new clothes. Nina acted arrogant and that made Courtney even more annoyed and wanted to rip off her expensive clothes. 

"Nina, just admit it to us. You already have a boyfriend, right? Otherwise, how could you buy things this expensive!" Jennifer said while putting her hands on her hips. 

"You two are acting like antagonists, you know? hate seeing other people happy, shame on yourselves!" 

"Wow...you have such a big mouth, don't you? If you don't show off like that, we don't care either, you know!" Said Courtney, who was getting angry at her friend's annoying behavior on this one. 

"Show off? Ohohoho...sorry? Who's showing off? You're the only ones who are jealous, right? Ah...well, because today is a good day. So I don't want to waste my time serving you guys. I want to go first, I have prepared your breakfast! See you later my friend!" Nina stepped out in style while carrying the branded black bag that Aiden gave her yesterday. 

With great pride, Nina waddled like a catwalk model to show off her exclusive new shoes.

Nina's feet almost slipped because of her excessive style while walking. Courtney and Jennifer who saw the embarrassing incident immediately burst out laughing. 

"Ahahaha...you idiot! So don't get cocky, feel it!" Jennifer said with a laugh. 

"Hahahaha...a lot of whims! You can't wear fancy things, so even shoes refuse to be worn by you!" Said Courtney whose laughter was much louder. It felt very good because their frustration was relieved after seeing Nina who almost fell at the door. 

"You two impudent people!" Nina who was embarrassed, hurriedly stepped out of her apartment door so that she would no longer hear the annoying laughter of her two friends. 

After she felt that things were starting to feel safe, she immediately took off her new shoes just to make sure that these expensive shoes were not scratched. 

"Oh thank goodness, nothing was scratched!" She muttered under her breath. 

This morning, she decided to take a taxi even though the fare she had to spend was more expensive than taking the usual bus. However, because today was her first day, she wanted to come earlier so she could get to know the work environment. 

She arrived in front of Number One Station at exactly 8.00 am, half an hour ahead of working hours. With great enthusiasm, she stepped into the skyscraper which made her unable to stop being amazed. 

Her eyes kept looking around as he walked slowly. She still remembers, when she first came to New York three years ago, she often stood in front of this building just to see the place that one day she hoped could be a part of her future. 

However, every time she remembers that figure, she was forced to bury her desire to stay in this city for a long time. There was someone waiting for her to come home, someone who meant a lot to her. Every time I remember his face, she can always forget her tiredness. 

"Dion, be patient, okay? I will be a successful person. One day, I will buy a nice house for the two of us and I will definitely take you away from that place. I promise!"
