Chapter 71

After saying such sweet words, Aiden suddenly fell silent, making the atmosphere awkward. Nina who was both touched and embarrassed, was also silent because she didn't know what to say. 

"Tsk, why are you silent? Say something to shake off this awkward atmosphere please!" Aiden said with embarrassment. If Nina had been nearby, she would have seen how red Aiden's face was right now. 

"What should I say? You-" 

"Yes, you should say back, I miss you too!" 

"Oh... hahaha I'm sorry, but I'm embarrassed to say it, my friends are here!" 

"You picked up the phone in front of your friends?" 

"Yes, why?" 

"Tch,,you idiot! You should have left there first. Ah well, where are you? Let me pick you up now!" 

"I'm at an internet cafe near my campus, which is a white building. From the campus gate, you'll see the place about 100 meters to the right." 

"Okay, I'm there now!" 

"Ok!" 

After the call ended, Aiden immediately took a breath. Suddenly something tickled in his stomach. Something funny, if you remember how spoiled he is who can't help but miss, even though it hasn't been a day since they haven't met. 

"Why am I like this?" He thought. Even though they feel strange about themselves, it can't be denied, he feels very happy and more excited. 

Aiden didn't want to waste time lingering in his silly thoughts, he wasn't even half an hour home, now he had to go back out to pick up and meet the banana girl. 

Aiden's car sped up to the beat of music as it stomped the streets before his eyes. After a short 12 minute journey, he arrived in front of a white building. He called Nina again to tell her that he was waiting in front of the gate, because it was impossible for him to leave in a place like this. 

"I'm outside, you come here now!" 

"Yes, wait there!" She said. A minute later, her face appeared from behind the automatic glass doors and walked quickly over to Aiden's parked car. 

"Are you waiting for me??" She asked as she got into the car and sat beside the driver's seat. 

"No, how about your task? Is it done?" 

"That's it, actually I want to go straight home. But since you're kind enough to treat me, so what can I do!" She said with a grin and it made Aiden feel annoyed. 

"Your words are as if I'm the only one who wants to meet, huh?" 

"Sure, you're the one who wants to meet, and I don't!" 

"Really? Are you serious?" 

"Of course!" 

"Oh I see, okay. You know what? This morning Samantha came to my apartment." 

"Oh yes?" Nina asked who acted like she didn't know. 

"I don't know how he got my home address. But, since she's be my girlfriend, I can't possibly be mad at her. So I let her in so we could spend some time together, at least until we did our jobs." 

Nina who was listening, could only remain silent with a bad feeling that somehow came suddenly. The only thing she hopes for is that nothing will happen between the two of them. 

"Is that so? So, what?" 

"Yeah, it's okay, I just want you to know. I feel very nervous because all this time I've only done it with you, so-" Aiden said, continuing to provoke Nina to feel jealous. 

"Do what?" She asked, raising her voice. 

Aiden who was starting to feel the cold and tense atmosphere inside his car, tried hard to hold back his laughter. Moreover, Nina who had always turned her face to the window. 

"Eating together, activities together and-" 

"That's great, that means you're starting to be able to open up your feelings to her!" 

"W-what? Tsk, why did you reply like that?" He thought. 

"Yeah, it's not that I've opened my heart to her, it's just that the atmosphere was a little supportive." 

"You idiot! Never mind, just stop this nonsense!" Aiden thought, trying to reprimand himself for the childish nonsense he kept throwing. 

"It's okay, take it slow. You don't need to rush!" Nina said who looked calm, as if there was no anger or jealousy visible on her face. 

The calm demeanor that she showed actually made Aiden depressed. In fact, Aiden's intention was just to make Nin jealous so he could judge how much this woman loved him. But apparently, his plan failed miserably and instead made him look like a sickening idiot. 

Aiden who thought about all his words and actions, made him no longer continue the conversation. Nina glanced at him who was sitting beside her, although she didn't want to show her true feelings. Nina knew exactly how angry she would feel, if all her bad thoughts actually happened.

Nina ate the delicious food on the table with no enthusiasm, even though all the food she ordered was expensive food that she really wanted to eat. 

Aiden frowned while sipping orange juice, looking at Nina who was different from usual. Where is the shameless glutton who always drains his wallet when ordering food? 

"What are you doing? Does your stomach hurt?" 

"No!" 

"So, why eat so slowly? Isn't everything you ordered the food you wanted to eat?" 

"Yeah, but suddenly I'm not in the mood," 

"Tsk you, don't waste food! Since you've ordered, you have to finish it!" 

Nina looked glum with a spoon and fork still clutched in her hand. Aiden couldn't stop thinking, why did her attitude suddenly change like this? 

"Okay, it looks like you really want to go home and rest. If you can't, don't eat. Let's just go home!" He said as he got up from his place and walked towards the cashier to pay directly for his food. 

As Nina had expected, Aiden was completely insensitive. This shows how bad Aiden is when it comes to love and understanding the complexities of women. In fact, he really isn't an expert at this because the only romantic relationship he's ever had was a brief one full of lies with Emily eight years ago. 

After paying for the food, Aiden and Nin went straight back to the car without opening a new conversation. The atmosphere was suffocating, because Aiden had no idea the change in the mood of the woman sitting beside him. 

"What's wrong with you? Is anyone sick? If so, I'll take you to the doctor!" 

"No, I'm fine!" She said turned her face back to the car window. 

"Well, it's up to you!" 

"You really did that with her?" 

"Hah? What? What are you talking about?" 

"Nothing!" 

Aiden immediately pulled over and parked his car on the side of the road. 

Annoyed, he immediately pulled Nina's body roughly and threw a sharp look at Nina who was silent because of shock. 

"Speak clearly! What do you want to say?" 

"Nothing! Why did you stop! Hurry up again!" 

"Are you mad at me? Are you jealous?" 

"No! How could I be jealous?" 

"How could it be? Are you serious? So, what did you mean by your question just now? You're scared that I actually did that with Samantha, right? That's what you mean, right?" 

Nina looked down, Aiden who looked angry actually scared her. Even though it's annoying, when you're angry, Aiden can turn terrible. 

Seeing Nin who was looking down with a sad face, made Aiden feel guilty. He immediately gave a soft hug and rubbed the head of the woman he loved. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you!" 

"It's okay, I was wrong. I'm sorry-" Aiden's hug felt very warm and comfortable. 

"You know? I lied to you earlier, I just wanted to make you jealous. I'm sorry! I was so childish," 

Before he had finished his sentence, Nina kiss his lip. He was surprised as he felt the softness filling his mouth, this was the first time, this woman started first. 

"You know? I love you so much."
