Chapter 67

Seeing that Samantha was almost approaching, Nina frantically pressed the elevator button to make it close immediately and took her away. 

"Hurry! Quickly take me away!" Nina muttered who was exactly like a criminal trying to escape from the police chase. 

Tin... 

It seemed, the elevator seemed to have a conscience, taking her up to the ninth floor where at first, she was already on the ground floor. 

"Tsk, why did I come back here again? Ouch never mind, the important thing is I have to get out of here!" She muttered as she stepped out of the elevator and walked around aimlessly, looking for a different elevator so she could go down to the ground floor without running into Samantha. 

Lucky Nina, managed to find a different elevator and pressed the button for the door to open immediately. 

"What's taking so long? Let's hurry up...!" 

Luck doesn't always seem to be on her side, even though this is the right moment to run away. But the elevator door in front of her never opened and let her enter. 

"Ah... how about this?" She muttered who was getting more and more nervous, even though she didn't know if the woman she thought was Samantha really came to this apartment to meet Aiden. But, considering their status as a couple, it's likely that Samantha came for just that. 

Tin... 

The elevator door opened. A beautiful woman wearing a blue mini dress stood alone in the elevator. 

Nina gasped, seeing the face in front of her. The woman also felt the same way, how could she be in this place? 

"S-Samantha?" 

"Nina? Do you live here?" Samantha asked with a confused face that Nina quite understood. 

Samantha swung her legs out of the elevator and stopped right beside Nina while waiting for her answer. 

"Ah no, I don't live here!" 

"So? Oh or could it be, you met Aiden?" 

"Hah? N-no, I just-" 

"I heard, he lives in this apartment and my friend is the manager here, so I asked him to tell me which floor Aiden lives on. So, what a coincidence we met!" Samantha smiled sinisterly. Meeting her love rival in an unexpected place like this irritated her. Even though she tries to hide it. 

"Oh hahaha...! So he lives here, huh?" She said nervously. From the way she answered and her body language, which looked very agitated, Samantha could guess that she was lying. 

"Hmm... so you don't know he lives here?" 

"N-no, I just came from my friend's house and now I have to leave immediately-" 

"Your friend's house, huh? What a coincidence that your friend lives on the same floor as Aiden. Or maybe the friend you're referring to is Aiden. Is that right?" Samantha smiled sinisterly, her suspicions getting bigger when she remembered how Aiden was when she called last night. 

The way she spoke that seemed unfocused, the sound of her heavy breathing and panting, made Samantha immediately think of different things. Now, he had to meet Nina so early. Doesn't this feel even more suspicious? 

Nina looked down, facing Samantha, somehow making Nina lose her mind. This woman has the power to intimidate her interlocutors with her firm, direct and sharp words. 

"Sorry, but I'm in a hurry. See you soon!" Nina immediately went into the elevator which opened again and closed it immediately so she wouldn't have to face Samantha any longer. 

Nina took a deep breath and let it out slowly. This was completely beyond her expectations, even though she had gone to great lengths to escape, but why did she have to return to that floor? And why can Samantha ride in a different elevator? 

"How about this?"

Tin...tun... 

Someone pressed Aiden's apartment bell. Aiden who was wearing clothes, immediately responded confused, who visited this early in the morning? He immediately remembered Nin who had left twenty minutes ago. 

"Did she come back and ask for a ride? Dammit, that idiot changes her mind so easily!" He thought as he walked towards the door. 

Aiden looked at the CCTV screen, Nina's face was not visible, but the woman who forced him to have a relationship with her yesterday. 

"Samantha? W-why is she here?" Aiden panicked. How could Samantha, who didn't know hiscaddress, know even what floor he lived on? 

Since it was impossible to avoid it, he was forced to open the door of the house which he had barely opened to anyone except Nina and the courier. 

"Samantha?" 

"Good morning, my dear?" Said Samantha while giving her charming smile. 

"Morning, what are you doing here?" Asked Aiden who still couldn't believe that someone knew the residence he had been hiding all this time. 

"Why ask that? I'm here to visit you. Are you surprised?" 

"Yes, of course. You didn't tell me." 

"How should I say it, last night on the phone you were in a hurry to end the conversation with me?" 

"Forgive me!" 

"You didn't ask me to come in? You let your lover stand outside like this?" 

"Oh sorry, please come in!" He said as he opened the door wider and let Samantha enter casually. 

"So this is where you live? I heard this apartment is very expensive. You're not just an ordinary guy, are you, Aiden?" 

"What would you like to drink?" 

"Um... maybe a glass of fresh juice can make me feel better." 

"Okay, then please sit down. I'll get it for you in a moment!" 

"Okay!" Samantha sat on the sofa glancing around the room which interested her quite a bit. Three minutes later, Aiden returned with two glasses of orange juice. 

"Please drink!" Aiden said as he put the glass on the table. 

"Thank you. So you live alone?" 

"Yes." 

"You didn't ask me how I knew your address?" 

"I thought you might find out from friends or-" 

"You're right. Chloe said you lived in this apartment, but she didn't know what floor you lived on. So I had to find out!" 

"Shouldn't you be asking me directly?" 

"True, but I couldn't wait for you to invite me. So, I did it my own way." Samantha crossed her legs confidently and guilt-free for coming out of the blue like this. 

"Yeah...well, looks like you have some free time today!" 

"Not really. I have something to do at one, are you alone? Are you busy today?" 

"Yeah, I also have a bit of work to do." 

"I met Nina earlier!" 

"Nina?" 

"Yes, I met her when I got out of the elevator. It seemed that whe was very surprised to see my face. Emily once said that she often saw you with her. So I thought, even today she will visit you." 

Aiden paused and thought for a moment, what reason should he give Samantha? considering that Emily had even discussed the two of them. It's useless to lie and make up stories. 

"Yes, she is indeed here." 

"She came so early? What business do you have?" 

"Nothing, we just met and-" 

"Is she staying?" She asked. The look in her eyes started to intimidate Aiden and made him barely move. 

"Yeah, she's staying over!" He answered. In the end, Aiden prefers honesty and has to bother looking for other reasons that will only make him look like a coward. 

"So, last night you two had fun?" 

"Yes." Aiden's honest answer made Samantha's frustration even bigger. It was hard to believe, the man who had become her lover was still sleeping with another woman. 

"But, didn't you tell me on the phone that you were-" 

"It's because we're doing it and I'm getting annoyed. I'm sorry!" He said. The honesty he spoke left Samantha speechless. 

Her heart was broken, so broken. After they had dinner together, Aiden refused to even visit her house. But apparently, he instead brought another woman to stay at his house. 

"Are you kidding?" 

"Do I look like I'm joking?" 

"So why did she leave?" 

"She has class work and is in a hurry. That's it!" 

"Didn't she reject you already? Why are you guys still-" 

"Maybe she rejected me, but I know she loves me. It's just a very complicated feeling." 

"But you're mine, Aiden! How could you-" Samantha started to get carried away with emotion and raised her voice. 

Even though Aiden felt very guilty, he didn't want to lie. Instead of having to go through a half-hearted relationship, it's better for him to be honest with himself. 

Samantha got up with all the anger that seemed ready to explode. Samantha had never experienced something embarrassing like this and she couldn't take it for granted. 

"I understand, I was the one who forced you when you haven't completely forgotten about her. But, I won't give up. It's up to you if you are still having a secret relationship with her behind my back. But you see, it won't be long now. I will make you forget her once and for all!"
